      There is something really wrong with this company... mean spirited almost.. and never have I ever felt so discriminated against or made to feel like a ******* I dread dealing with them ,.       Been calling daily to talk to claims dept. i call, they put me on hold and I wait just for a voice to Say" due to large number of calls we ask you to call back later and cut me off. This happens daily.
      when you do talk to someone the cant tell you anything or say they'll call you back and never call you back. They put info on claim files that havent happened yet. ie: sent a PDF File with a date 3 days in the future.
      if I had a cphouce i'd give them a 0 (zero) or negative number star.

      Atrocious customer support, submitted 3 prescription claims, 2 were paid, 3rd one was denied. Been renewing the same prescription for decades, pharmacist was informed by Canada Life that I needed to register with BC Pharmacre card number, which I am. No customer support, phone service is atrocious with minimum 50 minutes wait, this is unacceptable. It appears that the phone service has been outsourced as the phone operator was clueless, she said to me that she had not been trained and couldn't help me. She said she would connect me with someone who could help me, she just transferred me to the same number I had called and again I was told it would take 50 minutes or more. Never had such poor service.

      When claims are simple enough, then yes, they are paid out, but as soon as they fall in some kind of grey area and are put on hold, then there is no way to resolve * no one gets in touch with you and/or it is impossible to get in touch with Canada Life to determine what actions are needed to resolve.
      **** *** ****** I have one of these grey area claims on hold for which I tried to reach customer service starting last week. I tried to call Friday afternoon, I was told there were too many people on hold and got instantly cut off.
      This morning, I waited 1hr30m to speak to an agent who simply was unable to help me as she doesn’t even have access to downloaded documents sent in with claim. She offered to transfer me to claims (where I thought I was) when I would have waited in excess of another 1hr before speaking to someone.

      *********** customer service, non existent. They place you in que only to make you wait 45 mins then hang up on you because of technical difficulties. ALWAYS higher than normal call volumes leading to hang ups. NEVER answer e mails. You have to talk to an agent to make a customer service complaint. They never allow you to make contact with an agent so no way to complain. They do not process claims quickly if at all. They want you to do everything online but nothing you need done can be done online leading you to try and get an agent.       ****** What a shock after being a member for 25 years (through *** ***** and be told at the pharmacy it shows I’m not a member. We called and three hours later we spoke to someone who couldn’t figure it out but would figure it out and call us back. We did mention that I need this prescription as I’m running out.
      Do not get insurance through this company their actions show they are *********** *** they don’t return calls when they say they will.

      ******* ******** Always takes out money from Health spending account even though it is an eligible expense for a lab test. The try to make sure the most of what you submit claims for, gets taken out of your healthcare spending account. Even though I was covered on my and my partner's health plan. They covered $0. When you contact them, they provide a generic template response that doesn't even address your issue.

      I submitted a claim for $****** about 2 months age . My wife and I have spent hours on the phone trying to speak with a representatives to find out what is going on with our claim. We are still trying to get some help so we can get reimbursed for our expenses . The lack of customer support is very frustrating, disappointing and disrespectful. This company needs a change in the decision making department. We are Very ,very disappointed in the lack of service this company is providing.

      If I could have left no stars for the review, I would have. My husband is a retired RCMP and their health care benefits were taken over by Canada Life this year. I've been waiting on "online chat" for over two hours and am still waiting to speak with an agent. ******** ******* ** **** ***** ***** ** *****
