      Cogeco came to install equipment never finished because main was down so we canceled and sent equipment back now they want a payment

      I got a letter in the mail stating they will rise my service in price by 5.99 so I went to there website and saw they are offering faster speeds for $30 less than I was paying. so I decided to shop competitors too. when I called Cogeco they first person verified me, then put me hold, I said wait you can handle this lets just wrap it up. You have spent 12 minutes verifying me . he did not agree then I waited 57 minutes , then the second person also wanted to verify me I said the first person said they were making a note that Im was already verified. She said I see no note. * **** **** **** ***** ** ** *** *********** 12 minutes later I was verified again **** *** ****** **** ******** she just hung up on me. So I called back and waited another 58 minutes to be verified again and then she asked why I was canceling I said because I have been on hold for 2 hours. she proceed to try and tell me how hard it would be to find a new service. WHAT? then after putting me on hold came back and offered $30 off my current service. (not even as good as the deal on there website). SO finally after 2 hours I was allowed to terminate my service.       My Cogeco internet went down. I followed their troubleshooting steps, but to no avail. I then called customer support. While the CSR was polite, he came back to tell me that there is a known issue and that it will take three business days to perhaps remedy my internet issues. How is this a reasonable service level? I work from home so I need a reliable ISP.
      I then mentioned that there was a door to door salesman in my neighborhood today selling Cogeco’s services. $39.99 for 90 Mbps. I pay $102 per month for the same service! He then transferred me to Billing/Retention to which I received an automated message saying they don’t work on weekends! 0/2 today, Cogeco!
      So I end up overpaying for internet service that I don’t even receive. Looking for an alternative ISP.

      Made an agreement to pay after the holidays and I get payed this week and they reneged on the agreement and have cut off my internet and I will be moving to ********** am tired of speaking 100 times and sound like a broken record with these people I am done talking

      Have been at Cogeco subscriber for many years. We finally cancelled our services. Our Internet speeds were not the 1 GB we were paying for. RECENT SPEED TESTS SHOW
      UPLOAD DOWNLOAD
      21.79 Mbps. 228.31 Mbps.
      Shame on you, Cogeco

      In the 9 years we had Cogeco using **** we have not missed a single night of tv watching…there may have been a connection issue here and there but nothing that could not be fixed…In less than one week of having Cogeco using *****, on our 3rd night and for 2 nights following we have had ZERO TV…apparently our brand new box isn’t working and now we have to wait for another half day to have a technician come!!!
      Worst part is ***** is a downgrade to ****…you cannot tape shows ahead of time and in order to tape any you have to spend hours going through the guide to find what shows are taping each week…I cannot imagine another company accepting a downgrade to offer their customers…you may reach things at a faster speed…that is if you can reach them at all?!

      Terrible service. I switch from **** because the sales person at the door said I would be locked in for Internet, Phone and TV at $130 for 10 years. **** *** * **** They lock you in for a 10 year discount but can increase the base rate. Within 6 months they increase TV and Internet and I just got notified that its going up again in the new year. I am sure the fine print states this but that’s not how Cogeco’s sales reps sold it.
      The app is not stable, freezes all the time. If you record something be sure not to use the rewind or forward as it will lock up. When with **** I used the app all the time. * ****** *** ***** ******* ** ** ******** **** *** ********
      When I switched from **** to Cogeco they messed up porting over my land line number. The Tech that did the install said my old number was ported over which was a ***, i was actually without a number for weeks. It took me months to get that fixed.
      Over the past 23 years this is the second time I went with Cogeco. When I left the first time due to their poor service I said I’d never go back. Unfortunately I was bamboozled by the sales person promising a rate of $130 for ten years. Once I can get out without being charged (they say no contract but will charge you for equipment if you leave before 24 months)…. another *********** sales tactic.
      The company lack morals.

      Ridiculous service. Technician didn’t show up on appointment. I missed work day. When called to inquire, they wanted to reschedule means another workday to miss.
      Like people have no other things to do. When complained customers representative said technician giving facts and we are *****.
      Technician never called or came to home at scheduled appointment.
      **** * **** *** ***** ** ************** ** inconvenience caused by Cogeco to us.

      I have been a customer for over six years. Their internet and television are good. Customer service is where they fall short. When they came to connect to our home, they claimed "we needed a specialty crew and would have to wait until the following week. When that crew finally arrived, they said "there was no need for a special crew. The first appointment was on a Saturday *** **** ******** ****** ** *** **** ******. The installation was a complete mess. The installers broke suspended ceiling tiles and bent a rail installing the cable in my basement. The cable was left hanging through the ceiling (where the broken tile was). Upstairs in the living room and office, Cogeco's idea of a ************ installation was to drill holes through our flooring. ***** **** *** ******

      I didn’t like Cogeco, The Wifi does not work, its very slow. We tried going to the store but still they didn’t do anything. I did not like the service.
