      Cogeco in the past allowed someone to take over my corporate business account. I called in to get it fixed and they did nothing about it. Was pissed. Then recently i adjust my tv to seasonal suspend has i am going through cancer treatment and recovery and didnt need the added expense while i had zero income. This was suppose to be off till we called back or they called us to see if we needed it back on. Their automated system put it back on. On top of that i went to make a payment on my account for $115 dollars and put an extra 1 in the number making it $1115. I tried reversing the transaction with my credit card company and was voided right away. I then made the correct payment of $115. Since cogeco’s system
      Is automated they ended up to the transaction again for the $1115 even though i cancelled and voided the transaction within 5 mins of making the error. Now due to cogeco turning tv back on without my permission for august i get a bill for $174 vs$115 and now they are only going to reverse payment the difference on my account. Even though the error payment of $1115 and the correct payment of $115 was made, they charged me for tv and only have me back the $1056. Which was the difference i dealt with support and all was suppose to be fixed 5 days later there is nothing. Next time i will do a charge back. ** ****** **** cogeco with securtiy breach of my corporate account, non reverse of full error payment and automated system turning services on that i am not suppose to have. **** *** ****** *** cancelling them

      Cable went out for no apparent reason at 925pm Aug 26. Had to call Cogeco 5 times, and still hot no proper resolution. All these calls took me to midnight including wait times. Agent's don't speak English well. Calls are very choppy and full of static
      So.I am now stuck waiting till between 11am to 2pm on Tuesday for a technician to come help me.
      Call #1 Male rep, **** ****** ******, couldn't understand half of what he said,
      he didn't seem to know what he was doing. No help. He thought I had 2 cable boxes, yet 1 only have 1 box and 1 TV.
      Not a lot of trouble shooting done just a lot of silly questions. Is it turned on, plugged in. He hung up.on me.
      Call #2 another Male rep, **** ****** ******* couldn't understand half of what he said either.
      Male rep didn't want to do any trouble shooting, right after he picked up Call wanted to make me wait for technician. Asked for manager. Got hung up on.
      Call #3 yet another Male rep, **** ****** ******, couldn't understand half of what he said, He too refused to help me
      He too didn't want to do anything to troubleshoot the issue. Call #4 this time , a Female rep, **** ****** ******, couldn't understand half of what she said, Oncw again, no trouble shooting done. She did a hardware reset, it took 45 minutes. He said if that doesn't work to call back and set up technician appointment.
      Call #5 Finally got an ******* ******** guy named Zach. ***** *** *****, he was the only 1 that tried troubleshooting the issue. With his help we figured out that the cogeco box was cycling through error messages ****** ****** ****** ***** *****. But he ended up booking a technician appointment
      Unfortunately no technician is available til Tuesday between 11am to 2pm.

      I was with them for a few years had to keep calling because they kept raising my monthly costs it went up to 225 a month for basic cable and internet. When I called to cancel they told me I had to make a last months payment then they could cancel me. So I did and they canceled me.. the following month they took another 225. When I called about it they sent me a check for 225 that bounced at the bank where I was hit with another 60 bank fee for the bounced check. So we’re at 265 now that they owe me. Funny because now I’ve had ** ****** ********* me for 107 that they just put on my credit.. when I called to ask what it’s for they originally said not returning my monitor even tho I did and called them and they confirmed they got it. Now ** ****** has this Christine ***** calling me *** ***** ********* **** *** ************** she wouldn’t let me say a word or explain what happened she told me I owe bc my last months payment didn’t go through. But I paid it twice. Plus my payments were 225 as I stated so how would I owe 107 if it’s for a months payment. She told me she has access to my banking information and she knows I owe them then told me she’s going to mess up my credit and hung up on me. I would like some sort of evidence ***** **** **** ********** ***** ******* ** *** *** *** ** ******* *******. ******** ********* ****** ** ******* *** ***** **** ** *** ***** ********* ********* *** **** ********** *** ** ********* *** **** ** ****** **** ****** ** ******** ******* *** *** ******* **** *********.       It seems a little intentional to make it hard to disconnect services via customer phone support. Being left on unreasonably long wait times to try to get you to go away. *** *** *** ****** *** ** * **** ******** *** ***** *** ** *** *****?

      Overall good internet, decent phone line and good TV. On the internet side not super fast internet but I am a remote worker and can do video conference via VPN with good quality. I was having recurring problem with playback from the cloud and also watching ***** video movies, problem was not enough memory on the TV table top box. Once you delete some of the apps and free application memory and cache, then all my streaming problems went away.

      Adding to the other unsatisfied customers - ****** ****** ***** ****** 
      I am a First Time Cogeco user - I was cancelling my account in 2021 and was sold huge discounts by loyalty staff to stay with Cogeco. Today I am closing my account after 4 years of continual service due to sale of home and I was charged a 75$ "Early Termination Fee" That I was never advised i had a locked in account. When I questioned this I was advised by another Loyalty Rep that that is in place because I received discounts for over 20$ - Bad on me for not reading fine print and trusting the previous Loyalty Rep

      Cogeco is an awful company. They came to install cable into our house 6 years ago and left wires hanging half installed for 2 months before we finally just had them come cap them off and changed companies. We have since moved houses and recently we had someone come to the door and talk about the cable deals. We decided to give them another try as we were told they have a whole new staff. Today they came to install it with new lines needing to be run from the box into the house. Which they were told on the phone. The technician was here 2 minutes and said oh there are no wires here i need a second tech. We would be having to reschedule until next friday. We call to get. A closer dlaete and after getting nowhwre asked to speak to a supervisor we got Karen. She told us to stop bringing up the past and that our business is very important to them. But clear is not with the way we have been treatedtj

      Just switched to Epico TV last week. In theory, it is great but it is constantly giving me problems. Buttons stopped working, functions, stop working, frame rate drop on the image, or the entire box just freezes. In one week I’ve had to reset our two boxes about 12 times. Then it will work fine for an hour or so and when I come back to it later in the day, it’s nothing but problems. They gave me a great price, but I may have to go back to ****. They are more expensive, but at least their digital recorder works great.

      We switched to the ***** system some time ago and have had nothing but issues. The system freezes regularly, deletes programming from the dvr (sometimes doesn’t record at all), hit or miss on when the casting works (doesn’t work on one of our boxes at all). We are constantly resetting it to address glitches. Spend hours on the phone with tech support where their only solution is to restart the system and if that fails, send a new box. We pay $100’s for Cogeco each month *** ** ** ******** *** ******* *** ******* ***** ***** ***

      Offered me all kinds of deals to keep me from going to ****. I have received half of it but I’m now locked into a contract.
      Signed up with *****. Terrible boxes. Constantly freezing and malfunctioning.
      I strongly regret signing up with them and leaving as soon as possible.
