      I have Been trying to cancel a rental hot water heater that is valued at just under $2000 I have officially paid over $5000 for this unit. It was put on the bill by the previous owners. It has been months of trying to cancel to no Avail. Every time that I call I get treated poorly and disrespectfully and have been hung up on. Every time that I call they assure me that my next bill will be a payout which they still want $375 even though I have paid over $5000 for this unit. * ** ***** ****** ** **** * **** ****** ** * ***** **** * * * ***** *** *** **** ****** ** **** *** **** *** **** ********

      ** *** ****** **** ********* Our water heater plan was bumped to Enercare from ******** in July, and, after many misdirections from ********** customer service reps ***** ** ******* ***** ******** ** **** *** ******** ****** we finally learned we could buy out our water heater contract for 100.00. We did so. Yet we have continued to receive bills for services since completing the buyout. Each time, we've spent hours on hold seeking explanation for these bills. Each rep tells us something different, and then we're usually cut off. They've promised to send documentation and it's never arrived. We were told 'this is the last bill' before the contract is closed and, beaten down, we paid -- even though we already completed our buyout -- just to end our relationship with Enbridge. Twice, they've given us confirmation numbers that 'our contract is closed.' But the bills keep coming. This is an unethical company with shady practices to deflect and confuse customers. We have yet to have satisfying resolution and feel extorted, as our credit rating hangs in the balance. BBB needs to invent a rating less than one star just for Enercare.

      They won't remove my protection plan after numerous calls and an email. I don't even know where else to turn. It cost over $300. **** *** **** *****. They wouldn't even give me the direct phone number for billing. I have been on the phone for over 30 minutes and counting....ugh!!

      Enercare owes me money on an past account. They refuse to refund it unless I open another account, giving them access to my banking account or give them a void cheque. They have ********** me with a lien against me over this. They called me late on Saturday night telling me there is a lien against me. I asked them does show as a mark on my credit score, they said YES! I refuse to give them either. **** *** *** **** **** *********

      I've been trying to cancel my account with them for more then 3 months. they came and removed the water tank and continued to charge me for the rental.
      after numerous calls, they've refund me a certain amount, but then on the same bill they've charge me again for almost one month of rental, even though i don't have their water heater for months.
      calling them is impossible: their call center is overseas and, on top of the language barriers, their treat you line in a 3rd world county. I've been placed on hold and then back in queue and each time i have to repeat the story. their customer service reps are completely incompetent.
      they are basically ******** my money right now and i cannot stop them.

      It has taken me two years to cancel my plan that I do not use. They tell me that I have to call at a certain time to cancel instead of cancelling it when I ask, even if I want to pay out the contract. They keep transferring me to the next person and the next person, never coming to a resolution. Currently on a call with them now to confirm that my contract ends this month and is cancelling just to be 100% sure and they again tell me that it was set to renew, even after several calls asking to cancel. Already transferred to two other departments to find out why it changed to reset the contract after many calls. No one is able to help, they take no accountability, and do not track our conversations. Terrible service.

      There is no option to leave any rental agreements other than buyout at full price of unit regardless of how long you have rented the unit. I cannot afford the rental and am trying to lower my monthly bills. They refused to remove it and quoted me $995+ tax for a unit to buy out. If i cannot afford the rental at $32/month +tax, what makes them think i can afford $995+. I have rented since May 2017. Draw your own conclusions.

      Enercare is charging me a Paper Fee of $1.25 plus tax because I will not sign up to My Account. I spoke to your Customer Service last month who told me they would reimburse me and not charge me on further invoices. I refuse to pay it. * ***** ** ** ******* ********

      Enercare refused to replace a furnace blow fan under service contract,
      I have service contract with Enercare since 1998.
      every year the Enercare technician came to the house do their service and clean up on the furnace,
      on August 13, 2024, my furnace not working, I placed a call to Enercare technician came at 5:00pm, after he diagnosed the problem, he said it cannot fix due to the space around the
      furnace, he measured the furnace to the wall only 18 inches, the minimum is 24 inches.
      I asked him that I would like to speak to his manager, after he spoke to the manager(Bob),
      he handed the phone to me, I hear the something that the technician to me, he also added that
      he will refund me for what I paid for this year and my service contract will cancel as of today.
      The furnace was installed in 1992, it was the grandfather clause, I did not install the furnace, when they collected the payment and do the small service is okay. when come to change big item then it cannot be done.
