      ** ***** *** * **** ***** *** *** **.
On Jun 2024 ** **** signed up for an enercare service contract. She was advised that she could cancel at any time without penalties. Today after waiting for over 2 hours on the phone we were told that their was a penalty for early cancelation; the penalty being the remain months of the contract.
      **** * ****** **** ***** ******** *** **** ** ** ***** **** ************ ******** ** **** ***** Waiting to see if they will in fact cancel the contract at it's end date of May 2025 and hopefully not bill me on Jun 2025.

I requested a buyout on my furnace in August, they billed me for renting September and October. I called them and basically they pass you around departments, they told me I have 4 months free as long as I continue renting. Then agent Naverette told me there ****** to delay the process on a buyout. * ******** ***** ** *** * ******* **** **** ***** **** **** *** **** ******* ***** *** *****. My hot water tank stopped working and instead of sending someone out to replace it they set me up with a consultation for a tankless water heater and water filtration system which wasted a few days of no hot water. I then called back and got a next day appointment. The technician showed up then left in 10 minutes because he couldn't find the water shut off (it's very easy to find)
I then decided to cancel my rental agreement since paying $40/month for 20 years for a 2004 tank didn't make financial sense to me. I was given the run around, transferred to multiple different departments and put on hold for a long time.
When I finally spoke to someone about canceling they agreed to waive the $100 buyout fee on my 2004 hot water tank that I've been paying $40/month for since 2004 and cancels my service. 2 days later I get a bill with a $100 cancelation fee.
Dealing with this company has been absolutely horrendous. They have no problem taking your money when things are going right, as soon as something goes wrong it is an absolute nightmare to get anything done. I've probably spent 6+ hours on the phone and called over 5 times in the last few days trying to get my issue resolved

Very poor Customer Service. The credit on Tankless Water heater that was promised was never applied and now they keep on ********* for bill due. Called Enercare Reps from May 24, 2024 till today Oct 1, 2024 , total 8 times and talked to different customer rep every time. None of them could resolve the issue though they understand the issue. In my view, Enercare is very ************** in dealing issues. I am very frustrated from their customer service.

Cancelled a rental hot water tank from Enercare and replaced with a self-purchased unit. They did not record the rental cancellation, and continued to charge me for over a year. Phoned multiple times to enquire, and the best that they would do was reduce the cancellation fee. This after multiple phone calls over several months, totalling approximately 10 hours. **** ** ******* ******** ** ***** **** ******* *** ***** **** ******** **** *** *******

**** ** *** ** *** ***** ********** ** **** *** **** ********* ******** ********** We had a gas hot water tank with Enercare but we discovered we were paying a significant amount for the rental of the tank. This wasn't obvious to us over the years because the rental was buried in our natural gas bill. However, a few months ago, ******** decided to have customers pay Enercare directly. It became immediately obvious we were paying far too much for the rental so we called to cancel our agreement with them. Enercare kept us on the phone for over 2 hours when we called to cancel the contract, and we were often being put on hold for 20-30 minutes at a time. We found out they would not provide any service of the gas hot water tank at all until it completely fails or starts to leak. We were told we had to pay $446+tax ($504) to buy out the 11 year old hot water tank just so we could terminate our contract with them. A hot water tank normally has a lifespan around 10-15 years, so we spent over $500 for an appliance that is end of life simply to terminate our contract. The other option was to continue to pay Enercare $44.32 every month, and when the tank eventually failed (hopefully without causing any water damage) at which point they would replace the tank and we'd be stuck with them for another 15 years. ***** ******** ********* ****** ** ************* *** they certainly do make it as painful as possible for the customer to cancel the contract. We are reporting this experience as we feel it is important ** **** ***** ********* ** ********** **** ****** ******** ********* **** ******* ** ****** *** ***** **** ***** **** **** ** ** *** ******* ****** *** *** *** **** ******** ********** ******* **** **** **** **** ******* ****** **** ** * *******

The worst customer care service I have ever encountered. Plus, a booking system that does NOT work, and has been this way since July 2024. I have spent countless hours on trying to get an appointment, and when I did, Enercare cancelled 2 hours prior to the service call, leaving a voice message on my landline and had the nerve to say that the technician would be at my home the following day between 11-4. I left work early to be home for the appointment. I spent 2 hours on September 18th/24 being tossed around from one person to another, and today, September 20th/24 another 2 hours from person to person. The final outcome was an appointment for September 27/24 between 1-4. One other customer service rep told me he couldn't book an appointment until November. I am totally fed up with Enercare *** *** ************* *** **** ****** ** *** *** ** ***** ** **** ** ****** **** * ***** ** ********* *** **

It’s very unfair there is no way out for a home buyer without paying far more than the appliance is worth.
