Enercare has installed my A/C improperly, which violated the city bylaw. I have been calling and emailing them to fix the issue but the agents kept telling me to wait for 24 to 48 hours. It has been over 2 weeks and yet I have not received any response. ****** *** ***** ******* * **** **** ***** *****

I have had 4 Enercare Hamilton technician come onsite since Jan 18, 2024, under our Heating Protection Plan The last Enercare technician who came onsite Friday Mar 8, 24 was not customer facing friendly. He did not seem happy to meet myself or my husband (two visible minority people) He started to complaining right away that I had no right to be on a protection plan because my furnace was mounted on the wall on two brackets. I asked him can you use a step stool like the other three technicians before you? Does your company not supply you with equipment to step up one step. ********** *** **** ***** ****** ** ********** *** ***** was an issue for him. He looked at the furnace He seemed very disgruntled and said there is a lose tube. “You just have to fiddle with it… It is sensitive…” The furnace started right away… A potential fix could have been a new tube. Instead, he said “I am going to call my manager and recommend you be removed from the protection plan. Can you sign” He seemed uneasy as if he did not want us to touch his tablet. He left and after 2 hours the furnace stopped working again. I called Enercare back they said they would have a technician come out between 6-10pm the same day, but no one showed up. I called back on Saturday asking the phone representative why no one showed up or called us. He said I have no idea and re-scheduled another service call for Saturday March 9, 2024, 9th 1-5pm no one showed up or called us. Which was very unfortunate because we had plans and had to move them in order to be home for a service visit, that no one showed up for. I called Enercare on Monday March 11, 2024 in the morning and asked the representative what was going on she spoke little English andmentioned she was situated in Colombia. They have call centers in the Philippines. She seemed uninterested in my sense of urgency or concern with living in Canada during the cold months with no heat for 4 days. As I am sure she cannot relate as she lives in a very warmplace

Enercare : ***** ******* ** **** *****. Terrible experience that I had today where I enrolled into a protection plan , the technician showed up, performed the job , took my signature and after 5 -10
mins of leaving the house comes back and says that he made an error and that I have to pay 200 dollars extra… The technician did not provide me an invoice and no pre-authorization prior to starting the work…. I called up customer care and they were clueless and they said technician had not submitted the invoice so they cannot help… so fed with the first day of plan, I cancelled the service right away … Terrible and no professionalism…

******** ** * ****** *** ******** On January 2024 we called Enercare because we were having problems in one of our houses that is rented, our tenants were having issues with mold and condensation around the windows and they felt the house too cold, so we though that the problem was the furnace. so this guy Scott B. came to our house and checked the problem and immediately said I know what the problem is, you need to change the furnace and the air condition, ( we trust on him ). He said if you change those ones, it will solve the problem, but he offered as a rent the equipment's with monthly payments, but he never said that we will be paying almost 35 thousand dollars for those equipment's that with another company they will cost 7 thousand dollars, plus he never said that we will having 10 days to withdraw from the contract. We asked so many times if we decided to buy them and not rented he said you have 3 months to decided. They installed both on February 6 but unfortunately the problem still, even worse. I talked to my realtor about the windows situation and ** *** *** ******* ******** *** **** ** **. 15 days after the installation We called Scott B. and talked to him about the situation *** ** **** ** was not in his office but he will call us later, ( he never called back and never answers the phone again). We called Enercare and asked them to remove the equipment's or to low the prices because it is to expensive, we were on the phone for hours and hours because nobody could help us, they suggested to call the next day and we were calling for like 3 days and they never had an answer for us. finally they said that the 10 days to withdraw the contract had passed so they can not do anything. We received and e-mail from John S. our local district sales manager offering any help with our equipment's but of course we are trying to reach him and he never answers our calls and e-mails, we went to his office and no body open the door. now we have to pay

******** ** *** ***** ******** We rent a tankless water heater *** **** *** *** *******. We have had no heat or hot water for 3 days. We found out on a Friday after calling multiple times a day for 2 days and being promised a call back each time that the issue was not escalated and replacement was not booked at all. They disconnect each time after putting you on hold. On Friday, after 2 days of calling - we were told it was too late for someone to come before Monday and that they don't work weekends. They didn't
book or escalate anything. It is the middle of winter and pipes will freeze. They should not hold people at their mercy for necessities like heat and then ignore them. **** ** ******** Pay someone the overtime and work weekends. The units they installed are defective and now they can't keep up with the replacements. These are new builds and they put defective product in **** ** **** and then shirk responsibility. * **** ** ***** ** *** ***** * Enercare needs to take accountability for defective products and put a plan in place and not leave people in the cold - literally. It is 55 degrees in my house. ** **** ** * ***** ***** ******* *** *** ******* ** ****** ** **********. We've spent hours on the phone over 3 days and have yet to receive a call as promised with a solution better than 2 more days in the cold.

A low rental furnace ended up costing me over 18,000, plus a lien on my house. **** ****** *** ******** ** ** **** ***** ************ During a maintenance check they red tagged the furnace, again, and tried to get me to buy another (would have cost 15,000 - they had a 'cap' on it this time). When I asked about the lien - he said to just call b4 going to redo MTG and they would just 'take it off for the day of signing'
The original furnace (18,000 one) was under warranty, I argued and even called the Company (*****) once I mentioned this, I got them to honor that warranty.
      Again - **** ****** ** ******** ** **

      Hi,
Following several years of terrible experiences with Enercare, I took the tough decision at great cost of disengaging my principal residence and rentals from the company by installing tankless water tanks. The company had a habit of frustrating me with road blocks each time I attempted to remove a property from their service.
Though I have succeeded in removing my last property from the service of Enercare, this company ************** still continues to charge me average of $29.00 for Rental Water Heater, a service that was discontinued with the removal of my hot water tank on August 23, 2023. Despite several phone calls and complaints Enercare continues to charge me for a non-existent service 6-months after my tank was removed. I just received a another bill of $28.87 for the billing circle of Jan. 16 - Feb. 12, 2024.
Beyond Enercare having terrible customer service standards, the contact center agents are clueless and irrelevant in my opinion going by the type of ******* feedback they provide on timeframe for resolution of a complaint that has lasted about 6-months. The best feedback you will get is that the back office is still investigating the complaint, when evidence provided by Enercare proves beyond doubt that my Water Heater tank was removed from my rental on August 2023.
I have made a request that Enercare should stop adding its bill to my ******** monthly bill without any feedback and the company has failed to respond to my request for refund and interest to be paid on all ************ payments. I have refrained from stopping payments to Enercare because the company once reported my account to a collections agency when I had no unpaid liability with the company.
It would be appreciated if Enercare can stop billing me for non-existent service, refund all past payments and pay me interest on unjustified payments spanning about 6 months.
      Kind regards. **** **** * * ** ** ** ***** *

Bought a new home and our builder (who is amazing in every other regard) locked us in with Enercare for our hot water tank. The builder gave us a contract with a discounted rental amount for 2 years. Enercare is billing us without the discount and are virtually impossible to talk to on the phone. When I did finally get a hold of someone they gave me a 'customer care' address to email. It's been more than a month and they haven't responded to two different emails I sent. Thier contract appears to be iron clad and it would cost us a fortune (four times as much as an installed hot water tank would cost) to break the contract ... which runs for 15 years(!!!) before it would be paid out. * ********** ********* ******** ****** ***** ** *** ******
