***** ***** ******** ** *** ****** Worst coverage ever! It is like having a car with bumper to bumper warranty without including transmission. I used to have Heat Protection Plan for furnace with no coverage for heat exchanger which is essential part of furnace. **** **** ** ******** ** ** **** ***** ***** **** ******** ** **** **** **** * ****** ********* *********. And now I have troubles to break this agreement and exit. Enercare is probably smart and proud of themselves for making these tricky contracts, but they are not clever enough to realize that amount of leaving people are far exceeds people seeking for their services.

Customer service not very efficient. Have tried to buy out a furnace rental. Was given buyout price in December and was told invoice with buyout price should arrive beginning of Feb. That didn’t happen. Called again. Now I’m told after next billing cycle at the end of March. The story keeps changing. Have called Enercare a few times. It’s always a new person and I get a new answer each time. I don’t understand how it can take so long to send out an invoice!! Maybe they don’t want payment? Maybe the furnace is a gift?
Somehow I don’t think so. They are very challenging to work with.

      * ***** **** * ***** ** **** **** ** ******* Enercare has owed us money for Months and has made no attempts to pay us back. We have numerous case #'s and have called between 15-20 times. We keep getting the run around. We have been told the money will be sent on a few occasions and then just yesterday was told they never received our VOID cheque. I have sent them a void cheque 3 times. NEVER use Enercare. I will be taking this to a lawyer at this point.

We had got this water softener from Enercare. we had sold our home and the buyers do not want to carry on with the payments so they asked us to remove or pay out the balance. We had contacted the company to get a payout figure according to the contract we got from them the figure is less then they are telling us we had contacted them about it and they in formed us that they do not have a pay out copies on there records. This is strange as a copy was sent to us from them and we have a copy of the pay out. We have contacted them several times and getting no where and i have sent by email twice and according to them they did not received it on 27 Feb 23
and still giving us a run around.

Our furnace stopped working a week ago. All it needed was a part changed, a part that had the potential for serious consequences, still, just a part. Enercare refused to have the part couriered so we have had to wait a week to have the part ordered and delivered, which still has not happened, before we can AGAIN make an appointment for them to fix our furnace...IT IS FEBRUARY.
We also have the added concern of our plumbing bursting as it is in the crawl space under our house, which is normally heated by our furnace, which is currently not working.
This is the first time I have had a potentially serious issue and was shocked at the lack of interest or concern exhibited by Enercare.
      NOT a happy customer.

Nov 21,2022 I purchased a water heater, furnace and A/C with Enercare. I was to receive $1500 ********** for the furnace and A/C and $900. For the water heater. I received $700 of the $900 I was to receive for the water heater. I have followed up 4 times since the middle of December with the billing department and I am getting the run around. They investigated and determined I am due the additional $200 with no date of when I will receive and no resolution re the $1500
      This is absolutely NOT acceptable!
Enercare was in my home within 3 days of me signing the contract to remove and replace the items but now I am left dealing with an ineffective billing department trying to get this resolved.
      EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

******** ******** Been renting a water heater off then for a decade and it hasn't worked the last 6 years during the winter (and I'm in Ottawa). It turns off at least ten times a day, sometimes upwards of 20-30 times. EVERY DAY!! EVERY WINTER! They come and say it's working fine, and then we repeat it all over again. Just called because they changed my appointment on me without consulting me (at 1pm, the end of my 9am-1pm range) - I woke up for this and cancelled an appointment and then I get an email saying my appointment is now 2-6pm. On hold with them now and it's over an hour wait woth no callback option

We were told we could "rent to own" our air conditioner, and the cost to buy it outright would depreciate with each rental payment made, by one of their representatives. 3 years later of never missing a payment, called to find out our buyout price and it is almost $4000! Told them I didn't want to buy it for that cost, and want to stop renting it as I can buy and have one installed much cheaper, and was told that is not an option, and that I have to continue renting it until one of their techs deems it unfixable! How is this even allowed? We are even willing to pay a fee to break the contract and were told we can not even do that! Frustrated that their sales rep, gave us wrong information, and yet we are still held accountable for his mistake!

I opened an account with Enercare for a water heater rental in 2017. I moved to another unit in the same building in 2019. We called to transfer our account. It took them months to stop billing us for the old unit and they tried to bill us for over $400 of outstanding bills from the previous tenant, despite being told of our move in date. When the charges were corrected, they continued to send our bill to our old address. Our neighbour had to repeatedly drop off our bills. We called more than 5 times to correct this, we lived in the second apartment for 3 years (until 2022), they never corrected our address. When we moved and called to close the account, they refused to close it. They said they had to speak with the landlord before they would close it, we called multiple times to ask them to close the account. They continued to attempt to bill us for the old apartment for 5 months and repeatedly called my husband threatening to send our account to collections for an apartment we no longer lived in.
While my husband was still trying to close our old account, I opened a new account for the rental home we moved into. I was asked by Enercare to pay the balance to our landlord's account where it had been billed, and was assured that a new account would be set up for us in 2 months time (a completely unreasonable amount of time compared to other utility providers). When I had not received my bill in 2 months I called and was told the new bills had gone to my landlords account, so I sent money to his account again. When I finally received my bill, the charges were set back to our move in date and did not reflect the money I sent to the landlord's account at their request. I called again, was told this would be corrected in 2 months, I sent an estimate to the new account to cover new charges. The 2 months have not passed yet and now they are calling me 3-4 times a day threatening collections on an account I have paid and for which I have not received an accurate bill.
