On July 21 2022 I ordered an ** **** laptop off the walmart website. They had 3-4 SKUs of this laptop on sale in the morning and it quickly went out of stock but I managed to get 1 in for myself. I paid about $830 + tax, some other SKUs on sale were a bit higher than it, and some were cheaper.
A day before my pick up date, on July 26th, I get an email saying my order was cancelled with no explanation. After contacting Customer Service, they said it was a price error and they had to cancel it.
Walmart should be honoring this order. This is not a situation where 1 SKU was priced incorrectly and at an unreasonable price. There were multiple ** SKUs on sale and the price was reasonable for a laptop. It is poor business practice to cancel the order the day before it is supposed to arrive. Even if it was truly a price error, they should be honoring it. It is not like the laptop was accidently sold for $8, which is unreasonable. This is a mistake on Walmarts end, not mine. I placed the order and expect the product that I ordered for the price I ordered it for.Business Response

I had purchased a laptop for my son's birthday on July 21. Expected shipping arrival was July 26. I now received an email on July 26 that the order was cancelled without any reason. This has now left me scrambling to find a birthday gift and they refuse to complete the transaction. This is not the first time that Walmart has done this to me when I find a good deal. After ordering from Walmarts online site on June 30, 2022, with an expected delivery date of July 13, Walmart has failed to deliver my product.
July 15, I contacted Walmart and was told my issue of nondelivery would be expedited and take about three days to resolve.
July 18, 2022, without a resolution Walmart asked me to wait another two days.
July 20, 2022, still no resolution, I asked that my order be cancelled and a refund issue. I was assured the expedition team would be sent my request by email and would cancel my order and initiate a refund within 24 hours.
July 21, 2022, I called Walmart to confirm a refund had been issued only to find this had not been done. I reiterated that I do not want this product, since Walmart cannot guarantee delivery, and once again demanded my refund. I was told to wait 2 more days for a refund to be issued.
July 22, 2022, a form email from Walmart's expedition team informed me their investigation was still ongoing and thus my order had not been cancelled. At the risk of being told to continue waiting, I gave Walmart another two days before calling back.
July 24, 2022, allowing them four days to issue my refund, I contacted Walmart to confirm the status of said refund only to be told there was no incoming refund, nor had my order been cancelled. I was asked again to continue waiting for the expedition team to finish investigating before they would issue my refund, however, I was given no time line or promise as to the competition of this process.
July 25, 2022, I contacted Walmart and learned, again, that there is still no resolution to my complaint, nor has my order been cancelled or a refund pending. It seems pointless to continue calling, since I am repeatedly told I can nothing but wait without any certainty that I will ever receive my money back. Therefore, I have document my experience in detail and am uploading them along with this complaint.Business Response

I purchased an Walmart e-gift card online when I was at Walmart in Edson Alberta to try and make things easier because I was unsure about how to use my online currency in store so I made the purchase of one $50 Walmart gift card and one $100 Walmart gift card and when I went to pay for my stuff they looked at my phone for the $100 gift card and they didn't know what to do because there wasn't a barcode and while the young cashier was trying to figure it out with help of an older cashier the manager showed up beside me and was extremely ************** *** **** *** disrespectful towards me and my fiancé and she started saying that they can't redeem that there and also started to basically accuse us of trying to scam the store with a fake gift card even though I showed her the whole email of me receiving the gift card and my receipt and order invoice and the approval showing that the payment went through and after trying to get help nobody supposedly was able to redeem my card so I ended up leaving without 99% of my items because I only had $10 cash on me and then the next day being so upset with the manager and not wanting to see her or ever go into Walmart ever again we decided since we had to use the cards because they couldn't be returned I began an online order and that's how I discovered that the $50 one was perfect but the $100 one that they were trying to redeem but claimed that they couldn't without a barcode well that one was magically now a $0 balance! And after spending hours being transferred from person to person with customer service and nobody was able to tell us anything not even when or where the card was used so then we went back to the store because that is what most of them said on the phone.but calling the store was useless because after customer service transferred me to manager I was sent back to customer service then back to manager only for her to hang up after behaving the same as before and that was how she was afterwards when we went back.Business Response

Reason: Order got cancelled on July 26, 2022. I talked to their customer support. They said it's due to the stock shortage. It's more likely due to the price error and they don't want to ship or compensate us.

They finally admit it is a price error. However, they are treating customers in Quebec and other province differently. All customers buying same product got cancelled but not from Quebec.

Walmart order: ************* & ************* Both orders contained a $25 online gift card code, in addition to my **** credit card to cover the outstanding balance.. Both orders were for the exact same downloadable content (DLC). Both orders were subsequently cancelled. I received the reversal on the **** credit card for the partial transaction amount charged, but no credit back on the gift card code. I contacted customer service on more than one occasion and was told that my order did not contain a gift card, but it did. Also, no one was able to give me a reason for the reason of the cancellation of the order. After conducting my own research I was able to discover that gift cards cannot be used for the purchase of other gift cards. In this instance DLS is considered a gift card thus the order cannot go through. I am seeking a $50 (total of the 2 $2 gift cards) gift card back.Business Response

They should have delivered all four items that I have ordered and paid for. But I have received only two items in the package. The package was left on the floor in the common area of my building without any notice. I was at home all day but the delivery company didn't buzz my suite. They just left the package. I called the Walmart customer support centre seven times to resolve this issue. What they did were just send an email to the original seller(************) and forwarded me an email from the original seller. The original seller told that it has been delivered based on the tracking information from the career which is incorrect. After that, the ************ told me that those remaining two items are back-ordered. After that, I requested a refund for the two items. The customer support told me that their escalate department team would take care of this issue within 1-3 business days. Until now nothing has been resolved yet. I followed up 4 times since they provided me with the reference number. They are just telling me that they will take care of the issue in a few days every time I made a call. But they didn't do anything for their customer. I waisted my time for calling them so many times so far. I am so disappoined by how they delt with the issue. I ordered from Walmart Canada a **** Gazebo 11.5x11.5 escape easy set up shelter, June 26th2022, received 3 panels. People at Walmart said it didn't all come in. Manager said to return the panels and I would receive my money back. $128.00($35.00 for shipping. The ad said Gazebo was $179.99 but on sale for $84.99. I had it delivered to Walmart on ******* ** ************. Returned the panels July 5th. Decided to reorder the product and have it shipped to my home. Only 3 panels arrived again. Walmart said to call the 3rd party I did. They are to send me a refund. I told them and Walmart false advertising, I want my gazebo I ordered. How can Walmart get away with advertising something and not send it. I also told ********* ** (3rd party) false advertising. Walmart sent me a $10.00 voucher on my next purchase, not good enough. As far as I'm concerned Walmart is blaming the third party but I feel they (Walmart) should be responsible for their advertising not the third party. The product is on the Walmart website with false advertising. They Walmart should take responsibility and send me my product. I always deal with Walmart and shop there regularly
