1 starFirst off the charge was 140.00 to access which comes off your bill if you decide to get work done. No problem thinking I need work done and that they would be competitive in price. WRONG
Sent a young guy who when asked questions didn't seem to know much. Said your sub pump is broken need replaced for sure.
Will call you in about 10 minutes with quote . About 3-4 hours later called and quoted me 2400.00 for a mediocre plastic 1/3 HP sub pump with only one year warranty. I looked up the sub pump and it had many reviews breaking in one year. So if I supplied my own sub pump the quote was 1750.00 I researched how long it takes to replace a sub pump and found it only takes 1 one hour. Wow 1750.00 for one hour so emailed them and said going to get other quotes . Then I will have to pay their 149. Plus tax now sent to me bill. So I had **** **** plumbers come two men who checked out sub pump and right away I heard it working turn on.
Not broken will send the boss in about 2 days just to check situation.
He came in two days. Talked to me *** * *** ***** about my sub pump Not broken Working good ?? and about my water problem in my crawl space.
Only thing need done is one pipe glued will send back guy to glue
No Charge at all for anything.

1 starThis company sent a plumber to my residence yesterday to repair my sink in the kitchen and to take my sink drain and my pipe out he wanted to charge $1400 for that service today I have a different plumber in is going to cost me less than $500. He was ******* me off and when I complained about it to get my money back, he said I signed a contract that would give him 50% of the down payment of $700 so he would return only $350 to me, ** *** *** ***** ******Review fromAnne P

1 starThis company sent out a person to look at a shutt off valve $140.00 deductible if they were hired to do the work. He looked at the shut off valve, went out to the truck for 10 minutes came back in and said he had to wait for an estimate and when he would be able to get parts. The estimate came back at 1800.00 dollars verbal as I never received a written one. I called to ask where the written estimate was as I had paid for it. Have since had it fixed for $650.00 which also included the outside tape replacement. I would never recommend this company to anyone.Review fromJanet F

1 starWe were told we'd be charged $150 just to have a technician analyze the problem with kitchen sink not draining. Guy arrived in an unmarked old minivan, put on his business shirt in the driver's seat. Came in with a small work bag and we made the mistake of signing an agreement *** ** **** ***** ******** *** **** * **** ****** ********. He shone his light into the sink and said he thought it was grease buildup. If we wanted him to put a plumber's snake down the drain it would cost $250. If we wanted other technicians to arrive with more equipment it would cost $2,200. We stopped the visit right there. Having signed, we felt obligated to send an e-transfer. ** **** ******* *** ****** *** **** ******* ** *** ******** ** *** ***** ****** ** **** ******** The excellent reviews must have been fake.Review fromChris M

I booked this company to replace and outdoor faucet that was leaking badly. They wanted to charge $150+tax to show up, and would remove that charge when I agreed to the work. When they arrived, they said that I needed to replace the faucet (which I already knew) and it would cost $450. I asked why it was so much and they said it was because it requires soldering. That is the standard price. This simple job that would take 15-20 minutes to do, would cost me $450 + tax. That is crazy. I paid the $170 (after tax) visiting fee and told them to leave.
This seems to be their business practise. They charge a huge fee to visit your place and do an evaluation and then whatever job it is, they will charge $450 or more for the job itself. If you say no to paying the insane price, well, they got you for the visiting fee. I was reminded several times by the plumber that visited, that they record their phone conversations and have it recorded that I agreed to pay the visiting fee.
I wonder how much work they actually do or do they just drive around and collect their $170 on each rejected job. **** * *****Review fromRandy B

They did work on next door property and had to run a line on ours they promised we would be present when work was done so we could monitor what they did.
They didn't call us just did work.
Changed there plan and didn't run sewer as far as they said they would we think they ran to ours and joined in our line, very illegal! They said no and had contractor contact me and he said no he didn't and had pictures l said great send them.
Company blocked my email and phoning is useless they never call back.
Also our clean drain is gone and contractor says he didn't touch but is obvious he did, l sent pictures but heard nothing back.
This week our lawyer is going to court to ask for damages and proof of what they did.
Please stop this company from doing business obviously customer service is not in their hand book.Review fromYvette S

1 starWe recently needed a plumber for a clogged toilet. We are in Hamilton, ON. ** ****** contacted this business first thing in the morning around 9 or 9:30 am. He was told that someone would be out between 4-8 pm (so CLEARLY not considered emergent). When the tech arrived, he came in the front door, went to the basement, out our side entrance and back in, snaked the toilet and went to his truck. All of this took less than 15 minutes. He sat in his truck for LONGER than that to write up the bill. When ** ****** came back in and told me that he was charged $467 and change for the job,,,,I LOST it!! I called to speak with a supervisor on the next business day. That call wasn't returned for another day. Then I was basically told that I was the going rate. I advised the gentleman that called me that it WAS NOT the going rate, as I had contacted SEVERAL other places who ALL said it shouldn't have cost me more than $200 or maybe $250 (if it was emergent) based on exactly what I was telling them. I was then told that if my spouse had not purchased the "yearly package" the cost would have been over $600. This yearly package is only good IF you should need them and basically only bumps you ahead of others. In order to fix the situation, I was offered to receive my taxes back on the condition that I would refer them to my friends and family. I politely thanked the supervisor for his time and told him to keep the taxes, that I would not only never refer this company to anyone but, that I would also be leaving this review.Review fromBernard B

1 starNo transparency and outrageous prices. I have just paid $508.15 ($450 plus taxes) for about a 1/2 visit (of which less than 5 minutes were actually required to do the job). I consisted in fixing a partially plugged toilet (i.e. draining a bit slow but no accumulated water and very clean). I saw Superior Plumbing & Heating advertising in the web, told them what I needed and they sent somebody the following day (today at 9.30 am). They did inform me that they charged $140 for the visit, deductible from the labour task required and advertised a $30 discount for Ottawa residents. I asked for an estimate but was told that would e done after visit by technician.
When he arrived and saw the problem it was too late to change plumbers and I was told it would cost $450 plus tax, and it may be more if it proved tor require more than auger. (NONE OF THAT WAS NEEDED). The technician did not know anything about the advertised $30 discount. He just had to charge a flat fee set for the company for such a job without authority to change it. He also tried to sell me a whole new toiled because mine was "old" (the house was built in 2007) although it has never given me any problems. I believe he mentioned it would have cost me about $1400 for something totally unnecessary (the problem was minor and not related to the toilet itself).
IF THE HAD A MINIMUM FEE FOR A SIMPLE TOILET UNPLUGGING, THEY SHOULD SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED WHEN I PHONED THEM AND ASKED FOR AN ESTIMATE.
i find this refusal to mention their minimum fee for this basic service, on top of a high cost for just a visit to make an estimate unacceptable (If they have a minimum fee, they should have mentioned it)., And they did not honor the discount. ** ***** ***** ********* **** *** *** **** ********** WAY OVERPRICING AND TRYING TO SELL YOU A NEW PRODUCT REGARDLESS OF THE PROBLEMReview fromKevin G

1 star. I booked a tech from Ottawa to look at our electric boiler based on their 5Star ****** rating. Turns out they pay you to give them a 5Star rating. This is a copy of an email I received following Cedric's $171.00 service call ..." Please describe your positive experience with Cedric and give him 5 stars. As soon as you do this we will process a refund of $30 via e-transfer."... Cedric arrived and spent no more than 10 minutes looking at the boiler. He did not remove the panel or attempt any troubleshooting. He spent the rest of the hour attempting to convince us that a new boiler was absolutely necessary. I've spent 20 years working on industrial boilers and knew that he *** *****. He threatened to register a Red Tag to our boiler because it poses a potential threat of explosion and we wouldn't be able to sell the house until it's rectified. *** *** **** He continued to **** **** and high pressure sales tactics worrying my wife, so I asked him how much a new boiler replacement would cost. Just the boiler. Not the external piping or guages or valves. He wanted to oversell us a 27KW boiler to replace the 6KW boiler. He said they could change the boiler in two hours at a cost of.....hold onto your shorts....$16000.00. SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS! With taxes it comes out to over $19000.00. NINETEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!
A new original boiler costs under $1500.00. So they would be charging $14,500.00 for 2 hours of labour! I provided an honest 1 Star review ** ******, but they didn’t refund $30.00. In subsequent emails to me, they offered to refund the entire $171.31, which they did. But they hoped I would now provide a 5 Star review. I couldn’t in good conscience provide a positive review because I know that people ( like myself) use these reviews to help decide whether to contact companies. Now they are sending me emails threatening to contact BBB, my bank, and local government leaders in order to negatively affect my credit rating.

1 star**** *** ******* **** **** ********* ** ** **** ***** * *** **** ** lying and reeling there that the pipe I g was “too old”
And they needed to leave and get different parts even though it is standard copper piping that only needed a valve cut out and a new one soldered in place. They came back 3 hours later and did the job in 1 hour. They replaced one valve without any major modifications. * ***** **** ***** **** *** ***** **** ** * *** ***** They wanted to charge $1600 plus tax but I was able to get $250 taken off but this is still far too much money. Then I asked them to have there “higher up” call me and explain the charges. They didn’t call and then charged ** ****** credit card without permission.
