1 starI bought a power reclining sofa and love seat. The delivery people set up the love seat and said do not plug it in because there’s a piece missing and if you recline it will get damaged. I also reclined in the sofa and lost power when it was fully extended. I called Leon’s *** *** *** **** **** *** ************* *******. A manager I was talking to said that a plug in the back of the sofa was probably tied to tight and became unplugged, a comment was made then that quote” I should already know this stuff”. 1 star* ** ******* ** **** * ****** ********* ******* Leon’s Furniture concerning an extensive delay and issues with the delivery of a bedroom set I purchased in January 2024. While I eventually received the final item (a dresser) in August, the process has been extremely frustrating and inconvenient for the following reasons:
Multiple Missed Deliveries: On multiple occasions, I had to stay home to wait for scheduled deliveries, only for them to never arrive as expected. This resulted in lost personal time and disrupted my daily responsibilities.
Damaged Items and Reassembly: One of the items received was damaged, which forced me to spend considerable time assembling and disassembling the bed due to these issues.
Customer Service Issues: I communicated with Leon’s customer service on several occasions throughout this period, but the support provided was often slow and ineffective. This prolonged the resolution of the issue.
Incomplete Bedroom Set for 8 Months: After enduring months of back-and-forth communications, I finally received the full set in August 2024, but the extended delay was unacceptable.
I am requesting that Leon’s Furniture provide compensation in the form of a discount or refund to reflect the significant inconvenience, delays, and the effort I’ve had to put into assembling, disassembling, and waiting for deliveries.

1 starWe purchased a standup freezer September 18, 2024. The freezer did not work. We contacted the store several times and were told a service person will come to our home to look at it. This is now 21 October. Nobody has been here yet. We have lost all of our winter meat that we had ordered and they don’t care. ** ******* took it back to the store and asked for another one, or a refund. He suggested they have their service person repair the broken one and give us a working freezer. The store manger refused and **** ** ******* that if he left the freezer at their location, ********* ****** St. John’s Newfoundland they will send it to the dump. 1 starOrdered a sofa. Took 2 months. Ordered a dinette set July 20/2024 and it is now Thanksgiving weekend and it is still not here. They won’t offer any other options. They said it will be delivered today but it was not even in stock as of 5 pm last night. This is rediculous . My family and guests are going to eat off tv tables this weekend. * **** **** ******* I went to the store to see what we could do and I was sent away **** **** ****. 1 starI ordered 3 kitchen appliances online July 30th, I was told they would be delivered in 2-4 weeks. After 5 weeks I was told the fridge was discontinued so I went to the store to pick out a new fridge and dishwasher that was in stock. At that time, I was told my double oven would arrive in 2 weeks. It is now over 3 weeks since then and I have no idea where it is or when it will arrive.
I've never seen such a lack of service ** ** ** ****** All I get are excuses, it's the manufacturer, the purchaser is on vacation. It's coming next week, out of 6 inquiries on the status of my order I've been called back once. The manager blamed the salesperson, it goes on and on.
Now it's 2 months later and I'm still waiting. I wouldn't recommend Leon's to anyone - ever!Review fromDenise S

1 starI purchased a washer on Aug, 26, 2024. On Sept. 3, 2024 the exact washer went on sale for $100.00 less. I went to the store to get a credit and was told they would call me. On Sept 10 I called the store to see why I never heard from them. Again was told they would call me. The customer service level behind the desk is horrible. 1 starRecently “purchased” a fridge and stove set with a full money exchange, inspection, and contract signed (with manager present) on floor model items in *******, B.C. When we arrived to pick up the items, we were told we owed more money as the fridge panels were no longer included in the agreed and already paid for purchase price. Very disappointed in the way this business works with customers. The only resolution to this problem offered was a refund for our items. 1 starI ordered a twin mattress, and Leon’s ********* gave me the wrong item (I noticed when I arrived home that it was the wrong one, and an employee at the store told me when I phoned that the manager ordered a different one for me because the original one would have taken too long and she does this all the time: I did not authorize this!!) 1 starI purchased three pieces of sofas on Boxing Day 2023, with the expectation that they would be delivered in January 2024, as promised by your staff at the time of purchase. In January, I called Leon's to inquire about the delivery status and was connected to your salesperson, He informed me that the delivery had been delayed and would occur in February. In February, after still not receiving the sofas, I went to the store and spoke to Jamal again. He assured me that the sofas would be delivered by the end of March or the beginning of April. However, by May 19th, we had still not received our furniture. My wife called Leon’s and, after being hung up on twice and placed on hold for 30 minutes, I personally visited the store and spoke with the store manager, promised to resolve the issue and call me within two weeks. Unfortunately, he failed to follow through on this promise. On Friday, May 3rd, I called Sean, who then informed me that the furniture would not arrive until the end of June. This additional delay is unacceptable. I requested to cancel the order and be provided with alternative sofas, but Sean stated that canceling the order would incur a 25% restocking fee. The service we have received is far below acceptable standards. The repeated delays, lack of communication, and refusal to provide a satisfactory solution are highly **************. We have been extremely patient and cooperative, but our patience has its limits. 1 starI purchased the *** ***** 3-piece Queen Storage Bedroom Package from Leon's Furniture in Kitchener, Ontario in January 2024, spending nearly $3000. My experience has been a nightmare due to defective pieces and poor customer service.
Defective Products: The dresser I currently have has an irreparable chip on the top. The bed had damages midway through assembly, requiring multiple disassemblies and reassemblies.
Delivery Issues: I had to wait at home seven times for delivery and a technician to fix a damaged drawer, with some deliveries not arriving as scheduled.
Inconsistent Policies: During the last dresser exchange, I found it damaged, and spoke with the warehouse manager, who promised another exchange if they took back the dresser the same day. That day, I emailed customer service, requesting a final exchange under the condition that if the next dresser was also damaged, I would get a full refund. They initially confirmed this via email but went back on their word when I responded to confirm.
Customer Service Disappointment: Throughout this seven-month ordeal, Leon's customer service has been highly disappointing. They have not delivered items in good condition nor honored their promises. Their lack of consistency and reliability has been incredibly frustrating.
***** ******** *If you want, we can definitely set an exchange date for the dresser, and you can inspect it while we deliver at your home. If the dresser comes with some damage, then we could not set up an exchange for the dresser. We can offer in-store credit for the entire bed set or a refund or reselection. No exchange for the dresser after this time.
I do not want in-store credit, as I do not need anything else. I just need a complete, undamaged bedroom set as originally purchased. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with Leon's Furniture, and I cannot recommend their products or customer service based on my experience.
