      A payment was made on my account on September 1st 2023. A charge for the same amount was put on my debit card for the same amount on Sept 7 2023. I scheduled a call on September 7th and koodo said they would issue me a check for the amount on Sept 21. Today I was billed for my next payment and the amount that was supposed to be on a check was deducted from my next bill. I did not recieve my refund and was told to go to the bank to reverse the payment. The bank said I had to negotiate with koodo to get the funds. I am on government assistance and cannot afford these types of errors or treatment. This is unacceptable.

      I've had a mostly good history with Koodo until I got my son on their cheapest $15 a month plan. He went a little crazy on long-distance calling, and we got a $600 phone bill. Any other plan comes with unlimited nation-wide calling, but the cheapest plan only has 100 minutes. It's $.070 per minute over that, which is absolute price-gouging. Koodo likes to advertise their Shock Free Data, which is great, but they don't have an equivalent that puts a cap on overage charges on Long-Distance calling outside the 100 minutes offered on their $15 a month plan. I think this is by design. Why would I stay on an affordable, $15 a month plan if it has a liability of costing me hundreds, or even thousands of dollars? Strictly speaking, I don't think they've violated any rules, as far as contracts go. But as a customer, I sure feel violated. A $15 a month plan should cost $15 a month. If I use 10x the amount of long distance calling, it would be reasonable to expect to pay as much as 10x the amount. Why is my bill 40x? This is price gouging.
      I called in to dispute the charges, they agreed to half the amount, but that's still way too much, I'm not at all happy with how this went down, I don't feel like they're doing me any favours by reducing a $600 shock bill down to $300.

      I have paid to transfer from *****, 95 dollars a month, for a less expensive option. After an account
      typo, I finally was able to connect with 'Self Serve'. I'm sure a translation of 'Self Serve' means ' you do the waiting, we do the ignoring'. I have NEVER spoken to a live person, with the exception of the ***** 'agent' (trainee) who put this debacle into effect. I paid again $ 149.16, again $ 72.27 and finally, $ 223 and change. Guess what ? I logged on to 'Self Serve' and was greeted with the message that my account is " -302.79 !!! Usually a negative balance in an account indicates that the 'company' owes YOU the amount in question. Nope, not here.
      FYI, all my payments were though online banking services of ** ****, **************
      I refuse to pay any more without a written explanation (a sincere apology would be nice).

      I needed to update my new ********** number, but I could not access my account as I had forgotten my password. I tried many times to reset my password, either by text or link via email. When I tried to update my information using a link to be sent to my email address, which Koodo has, I never did receive the email with a link to reset my password. Via the text link to do so, I tried many times. I did receive the text, by which I entered my new password, all done carefully and correctly each time that I tried. Each time, I got a message saying that this method was “not available at this time”. Frustrated, I hunted for a phone number in order to sort this out with a human customer service representative. Anything I tried just led me back to the start of my search.

      I was a customer of Koodo for 10 years when I decided I wanted to upgrade my phone. I had a discussion with a Koodo rep who showed me options for phones. It required a 2 year contract, but I thought that's what it would take for me to upgrade my phone without committing a bunch of money up front.
      Smash cut to my phone not arriving after a month, even though I was paying more money immediately for the new contract. When I complained to the rep who sold me the phone, he couldn't do anything and provided me with their 1-800 help number.
      The tracking updates from *** said only the shipper could file the complaint, so after calling into Koodo's help number to try to start a complaint, they basically just blamed *** and didn't know how to start a claim (even though *** said it had to be the shipper who started the claim). Eventually after I called back and said *** wasn't doing anything, Koodo apparently started a claim, however *** completed it with no resolution because they said I "wasn't answering my phone" (even though they must have used an unlisted number and never once left me a message about this very expensive missing parcel). After another month, I got fed up, called the help number again and a Koodo rep asked questions to understand why the claim didn't proceed, and restarted it, noting that I have to make sure to answer every unnamed phone call until *** called me.
      Finally *** contacted me about my claim, I told them I hadn't received the phone (which was literally the only thing they asked besides confirming my address). Then, inexplicably, with no follow up or notification, the phone arrived. I was in the dark the whole time. Unbelievably bad customer service from both *** and Koodo, but Koodo's systems for assisting customers are pathetic and I will cancel my contract the first day that I can. I don't expect much from telecom companies, but this saga was a ridiculous waste of time that makes it nearly impossible to not be cynical about these companies.

      Problems with payment.
      Aug 10 went to kiosk 2300 yonge st, serviced by Scott m.
      Wanted to pay my prepaid plan.
      After 3 failed attempts, after I told him it was Koodo prepaid plan.
      He assured me it went through.
      I did not realize at first but he gave me the wrong reciept.
      then my account gets suspended for the 2 and time due to koodo screw up. My payment came out of my bank but he put it into tells.
      Went over Aug 12, my plan was to restart then, to kiosk at 2300 yonge st. Showed my proof that it came out of my bank. Requested a refund because I am sick of the screw ups by this company. I was told no wrote don't do that. You cannot speak to a live voice at koodo. I have proof of payment proof of authentication code. But cannot get a refund even though it was the fault of koodo. How is that fair or right???? I had to go the expense of going to a new carrier, paying sim card activation fee and first month service. Plus I am out my paid koodo fee.
      That is unacceptable!!!!!

      Koodo - ***** is very bad. They can ding your credit rating without warning. I learnt it the hard way, do not buy from them.

      BEWARE OF KOODO ROAMING! Data and roaming off, airplane mode on. Used wifi only. Yet charged for roaming. Koodo rep said we should have pulled SIM card or deselected the network. Koodo ******* ** ******** ***** ******* ******* ** NOT advising clients properly.

      ********** ******* ** *** *** ******** ** **** **** after being with the company for 12 years. I'm being charged full price for a phone they took away from me. And right now I'm arguing with them to take a subscription off the bill the said they can do if I can not get the company to close it myself. I'm completely irritated and upset with my service as I've gone the better part of 3 weeks with very bad cell service and them placing me on hold for longer then 30 minutes at a time. This is not acceptable in any company to be treated like such I've brought in a lot of people to the company and couldn't even get the referral discounts on any of it. They need to do better.
