Telus over biled me 350 on Dec 17th. Took the money out of my bank account. It was an error on their part. It's Dec 24th. * **** ** ***** *** ********** They gave me a bill credit on my account. I can't give 350 dollar telus bill credit to my kids for Christmas. They ruined my kids and I Christmas and don't seem to care.

Telus sent me an exclusive offer that stated that if I upgraded to a new device my existing device balance would be waived. When I went to my local store they then refused to honour the offer. ******** ******** ** *** ***** ******** **** ****

Their bring it back program ** * *****   Be very careful about returning your phone. Don't stick it in the mail and send it back to them. Instead take it in in person so that you know immediately if you're going to get full value for it. I sent them back a perfectly good phone yet they claim that it had broken buttons. I received a $96 credit instead of the $290 value For the phone. If I had known that they were going to do this to me, I would've kept the phone and not signed a new contract with them. Now I'm stuck with a new contract, and a bill for the old phone that I no longer have, at a time that I'm really struggling financially. I attempted to make partial payment on the outstanding credit, but that was insufficient, and they reported it to the credit bureau as a 30 day late.

I have moved 2 of our mobile plans to Telus recently, based on information I got from a salesman in Telus authorized store. I was told that my 2 cell phones will cost $50/mth each after discounts, minus additional $7.50/mh multi-user discount for each - so $42.50/mth each, $85/mth total
Imagine my surprise when I got the first bill for $163.91 !
When I went to Telus store to complain, I learned that the salesman (from the same store) did not let me know that my billing cycle will not start on the day my plan started (this in itself is weird as apparently different customers have different billing cycles and there is no Telus wide billing cycle, so why cycle for new customer doesn't start on purchase date?). As it turned out this is important for billing, because when they prorate my payment for the "remainder" of the old billing cycle, they charge full plan price, without discounts ($80/month) - so for 9 days of $45/mth plan, I was charged $26.67 (for each phone).
2nd thing I have learned is that when they advertise the plan cost, it is the price before taxes (understandable) - so for $80 plan, you will pay $89.60 after tax.
However - when they tell you about the discounts, they use the value of the discount after taxes. So - they tell you that you get $20 discount, but on the bill it is $17.86. (which after adding tax to it, would come to $20).
      How is that ok?????
Other than the overcharging related to the "creative" (**** ******** *** ***) billing cycle, the plan is still a good value for me and I am ok with discount $17.86 instead of $20 and another $4.47 instead of $5 - but this info should be given in the honest manner, using the same logic as for the plan price (either use pre-tax for both or post-tax for both).
RESPECT your customers and give them complete, honest information, so they appreciate your business and not get blindsided and frustrated with your sales tactics.

I got a call from Telus Mobility and agreed to a deal of $75/month for two new phones, 50 gb of internet, unlimited free calling in Canada, unlimited texting worldwide, and a thousand minutes of U.S. calling. It sounded like a good deal - a better phone and $5 cheaper than the offer from ******. It was a two year contract. I am still waiting for the phones to arrive - was told they would be coming by ****** **** and then they actually came by *** today. Fortunately no one was home. When I opened my computer up, there was my first bill from Telus for the phone I still hadn't received. The bill was dated from five days earlier, so I was being charged for a phone I still haven't' received or activated the sim card. The bill was for $341.00. In that, I had two $70 activation fees which I had never been told about. Each phone was billed for $139/month plus taxes, etc. (I also have a home package - internet, tv, and phone for $134.20/month). I waited on call for over three hours tonight and got nowhere. One worker suggested he would refer me to the Loyalty Dept. to sort this out. This is not a Loyalty issue. It is simply not the deal they offered me. My best option at this moment is just not to accept the phones and walk away. I don't want months of litigation and changes to my bill and hours waiting on call for someone who can't help. ****** ** ***** ***** *** **********  There is something "fishy" in their phone lines!!!! And to add to the horror, they told me that I had "saved" $15 on my mobility bill! I had also been told that I would get $10 off my internet. That never happened. My call was recorded. Can I get a copy of that call??? **** **** *** *** ******* * *** **** ****** **** ****** ** **** *****

Signed a contract and at that time I had service in and around my home town, now there’s hardly any service there and it’s hard even to send a text. I’m held to my contract but they have broken it because they are not providing the service any more.

Two years ago someone called and sold 4 business mobility lines with free phones if I go with 2 years contact and texted me all the information. I took the contact and after 2 years Telus told that account manager does not work with them anymore and I have to pay for those phones as well.
How can a simple person judge whom to believe and whom not?
