      ***** They charge you for appointment to promise you to deduct and repair when they get the parts. They never come back and end up paying for a visit only. $225 lost.

      September 2022, I contacted a company called Appliance Repair Experts for service on our refrigerator, and scheduled an appointment for the following morning. In the interim, the problem was resolved. I attempted to contact the company by phone, text and email to inform them we no longer required their services and therefore would need to cancel our appointment. I was unable to get through to anyone. The phone number provided went directly to voicemail and immediately disconnected prior to leaving a message. Additionally, the company did not respond to my text or email. On the afternoon of the day the technician was to arrive, the angle he called me to say that I did not let them know their services were no longer required and I would be charged the $108 service fee, despite the fact, as I had explained, I had made several attempts to cancel. I informed them that I would not pay for service that was not needed or provided. Following this conversation, I received several calls from the company informing me they wanted payment. This week, I received an email from a company, ******** **** *** ****** ****, stating that Appliance Repair Experts had solicited their services regarding my unpaid debt, and that I must pay the balance immediately or my credit might be affected. Needless to say, I do not plan to pay any money to ARE and have reported both companies to BBB.

      I had contacted this company to repair my dryer in August. After the initial visit, the technician re-scheduled the appointment twice before coming to do the repair. Initially the only problem was that the drum fell down and after the repair we discovered the hear stopped working. Further, the technician damaged my carpet. I have been contacting this company twice a week since, to come back and repair the dryer but I keep getting the run-around. I have been transferred to multiple supervisors who keep giving me different stories. Initially I was told that the technician will come back to do the repair but I didn't hear back. I called a week later and spoke with another supervisor who went on to tell me that the first supervisor gave me the wrong information and that this is not covered under warranty. When I challenged this, I was referred to an email for the manager. After sending an email with what transpired, the response indicated an apology and that the technician will be coming back to my home to make the repair at no charge. It has been a month since this email and the manager is no longer responding, the technician has not contacted me and I am left with a broken dryer and damaged carpet. ** *** *** **** **********

      Charged me $475.00 to install a ten-dollar part and one hour of labour. Absolutely unconscionable and *********. I should have checked the BBB site, as this behaviour for this firm is very typical. As a trusting senior, I expected better.

      I had a dealing with this company that was not very good at all. I booked an appointment for a repair on my 3 moth old dishwasher. I found out later that it was under warranty. I called them back and asked if they do warranty work and that was declined they said they can not. so I asked to cancel the appointment I had mad and he said they could but they will still bill me the 89$ service call even thou it was done first thin in morning at 8AM and I called to cancel at 9 am he said it was part of the agreement over the phone and if I do not pay it will go to collections. was not willing to work with me being the first time I called them for anything it did not matter. so I canceled the appointment and I am expecting a bill I now have to pay even thou they did not have to send a person out at all the appointment time was set for the same day between 11 and 3 so there was no working with me at all.
      all I can say i this is a very bad customer policy and it seems that they are extorting money from you no matter what. Jim B

      I booked online to service my broken washing machine thinking that I booked it under ******** Appliance Service of Calgary only to realize after receiving my booking confirmation that it is just a front for Appliance Repair Experts. Note there was no indication that the former (********) was using a DBA company name. Something which was almost a give away that I didn't actually immediately noticed that as soon as I posted the booking, I received a call with the area code 647 which is assigned in Ontario.
      I was specifically avoiding Appliance Repair Experts ** **** **** ** **** *** ******* ****** *** still landed using their fronting company. When I called back the same number and they recognized my phone number, they immediately asked if I was cancelling the booking which I readily confirmed.

      Absolutely worst customer service. We asked to cancel an appoint that a tech would call us between 10-2 and no one had called. So because it was past 10 the appoint had already started. So they wanted to charge a service fee of $129 for not providing a service and said if we didn’t pay with in 24 hrs we would be sent to collections. How is that even ethical business practice. The service manager was absolutely so rude and kept cutting me off as I was try to talk to them. They also said they emailed me the cancellation term in a email. Once I checked the email there was no mention of it and then the manager back peddled and said it was in a text message.

      I received a bill, but there was no technician that showed up, and we have never requested any types of technicians. They sent the bill to my wife. With the incorrect name, incorrect email address. And they said that they fixed a fridge, but there is no note of what did they fix because there was nothing to fix. When I called them spoke to a manager. The manager *** ********* **** *** ** said it doesn't matter if there was
      no technician showed up or not. According to him, someone requested a claim online. And now we have to pay for it. They said that they will send my wife His wife's name to the collection agency. **** ***** **** *** ****** *** ******* ****** **** ** ******* *****
