      ***** ** *** ***** ****** ** * **** ****** *** **** ***** 3 years ago we moved over to TD bank from *** as we were told so many good things about TD from a family member. What a mistake. We left behind 25 years of loyalty as well as mortgage credit cards line of credit as well as NO HOLDS on checks of any sort.
      Well today I took a cheque from *** of 1000.00 to TD in Gananoque Ontario.
      I was asked if I needed the money right away as they could call the bank from which the cheque was from to verify the funds. I told them I did not need the funds right away. Then they tell me I have 100.00 released and 900.00 on hold till June 9th EXCUSE ME?
      Not only was I promised the same respect I had from *** now I am hearing I have a cheque hold and that it's a hold policy **** **** ****.
      Well a minute before u could have called for a release. EXCUSE ME? ** ** * *** ** ******* *** *** ****** *** ***** * ***** **** **** ******** *** ******* * ** * ***** *** ***** **** *** ***** * **** * ***** *** *** *** ****** *** *********** *** ******* **** **** **** *** **** ** **** **** * ******* *** *** ****** ** ********* *  *** * ****** *** ** ********** *** *** *** *** ** ******** *** *** ** ****** ****** ** ***** *** *** ** ******* *** **** * ***** **** ***** *** **** ** *** ***** *** I expect to be apoligized to from the bank manager and teller. I overheard them disrespectfully talking about me to another worker and customer as I was walking out. *** * ****** ****** *** **** **** *** ******* ****** ****** ***** *** ***** *** *** ****** I expect something to be done out of this and something of value and respect brought forward to myself.

      TD bank always has online issues. Shut down frequently for maintenance. Etransfer system crashes atleast once a month. **** ** **** * **** ******** ****

      I have been having a terrible experience with this institution. customer for 7 years , small bussines accounts , mortgage, line of credit, credit card and every time I need something there's a problem.

      TD is the worst bank in Canada . They will cause you nothing but stress and embarrassment. I hope this bank can be closed down! They have the worst customer service . The app is a mess too . I am closing my account with TD *** * **** ***** ****** ** ******* ** **** ** ******* **** **

      I had some GIC investments with TD Canada Trust. In August 2022, I converted these to a RIFF. I had to do this in person at the bank--180 Dundas St. in Toronto. The employee I dealt with said I would have 15% of my monthly payment of $600 withheld in taxes. That seemed fine to me. However, for the first five months I received the payment, only 10% was withheld. Then, in the sixth month (January 2023), no tax was withheld. I did some research on the Internet and found that because the payments totaled more than $7,000 a year, by law, the tax withheld had to be 20% per month. Therefore, I should have been getting a payment of $480 a month. I complained to the bank, and the next month, I received around $475 (the wrong amount). I complained again. In March, I received $450. At that point, they escalated my case to the upper echelons of customer service at the bank. I was assured that the problem had been solved, and the bank gave me my missing $30 plus another $70 as an apology for my inconvenience. In April, I finally received a payment in the right amount--$480. I sighed, deeply relieved. However, in May, I received two payments--one for $480 and another for $393.76. How can a bank not get a simple RIFF payment right? What else are they not getting right? What kinds of mistakes are they making on million-dollar investments? ** ** ***** ** ****** ***** ** ** ************ **** ****** ** *** ** ********. Their business is managing people's money, and they can't do it.

When I finally understood what TD did it appears they put on paper 1.2 percent instead of the posted 4.5 percent.
      my investment is only making money for them not for me. I asked that 10, 000 be locked for one year the representative locked it in for 3 years even though I told him one year ** * ****** ** *** ** *** ** *** **** ** **** * ****** *****

      Spending hours on hold to reach a representative who is not able to help you or offer suggestions ** *** *** * ******** ****** ** **** Why would I deal with a bank that can’t even make a phone call to me to keep me up to date on claims etc. ** **** **** ** ** **** ***** ********** *** ***

      They used to be ok, now they must be hiring but not trained people, they aren't knowledgeable, **** and when asked for a supervisor they leave you on hold for over 30 minutes hoping you get tired and hang up, the "supervisor" has the same limitations.. I'm switching banks!!
