We are a small roofing contractor that has had an account with ********************** for over 15 years. Now Regions are putting holds on deposits for over 2 weeks and releasing our funds in increments. I have done my research and checks deposits take 48 to 72 hours to moved between financial institutions. I called to complain and the *** said it was top complaint she is getting and doesnt understand the policy. As a small business holding up our funds like that causes us all kind of problems for payments to payroll. Right now we have almost 40k being held the last two weeks. I can understand a 5 day hold on large checks but 14 to 21 day holds are insane and a slow release in funds is stupidity. I will be changing banks but other business should know you are holding up companies money to fund your bank. I will also be submitting to the **** on unethical financial practices. Fix your policy and do better regions. I do not need a letter from you to make it look like you addressed the issue. How you have 1.9 complaint record and an A with the BBB is asinine you need to do better BBB as you are trusted by millions when researching a company.Business Response

i got a txt from regions asking if i made a purchase w my debit card i txt back no. They sent another text saying your card has been cancelled bc of suspicion of fraud and that they will send another in the mail. I am a Trucker im only home once a month i use that card to survive out here on the road, i decided to transfer $$ from my regions acct to my other bank plus acct so i can use the bank plus card to eat w until i get home to get the new regions card. after i hit send on the app i got a msg saying pymnt is on hold bc they cant verify my identity. i called regions i have talked to 8 **** dealing w this wasting hours of my time on the ph w them still no results. i explained to the 1st ***** whats going on and she said i need to talk to zelle i called zelle they said no regions is who handles it when a payment is on hold ive done this countless times today. and on top of all that they suspended my access to my online account had to call and waste 30 more mins on the ph w them to regain access. still no one has been able to assist me in transferring my own $ from my account at ********************** to my own personal account at bankplus which are both in my name.. if they would have been as hard on the person who fraudently used my card as they are on me trying to transfer my $ to my other account i would not be having this problem.. they are making it ten times as difficult for me to legitimaly transfer my own funds to my other account than they did for the person who actually fraudently used my debit card number,, when i do get home i am closing that account and never dealing with regions again. at regions they make it harder for you to access your funds than they do the criminals.. and one of their cust **** the man i spoke w in fraud was very rude and unprofessional...Business Response

Account Opening Date: 8/19/2021 Account Number: ************************ Higher Credit: $500.00 An account under the name Region/AMS was opened in August 2021, showing a $500 credit line. I did not authorize this account, nor have I ever had any dealings with Region/***. This unauthorized account is yet another indicator of identity theft, as I have no association with this creditor. Attempts to resolve this directly with Region/AMS have been fruitless, as the account still appears on my credit report, negatively impacting my financial standing. I am seeking the BBBs assistance in removing this account and ensuring that my credit report accurately reflects only legitimate accounts.Business Response

Financed home improvement. Enerbank changed to Regions. I did not get notice. I did not get a bill, now I am "overdue" and must pay and a fee for late. Are they really they company that bought my loan?? How do I know? They don't even have my correct e-mail, and can't mail a copy of the bill. Prove they are the ones that took over, and I will gladly pay!! Send me some type of real notification rather than a text/collection call pay or else. Don't fine me for being late when I do not even know who you are!Business Response

On August 7, 2024 a check was sent to the wrong address from bill pay with this company. It was cashed or deposited to another bank ******* without having proper endorsement and now we are unable to get the funds back. We filed with the local branch (****** Ave, Bradenton FL) where they dropped the ball and did not file the proper paperwork. Three weeks after the initial contact, we re-contacted the bank to follow-up and they said that the paperwork was just filed because of their mistake. They said that they would contact me back multiple times by the end of the day and never contacted back any time until today when I called them out on it. There has still not been any resolution to the matter, We are out aprox $2600. Still waiting on this fraud case to be resolved.Business Response

The Regions bank I went to was not listed so I had to click on *********************. The correct address I went to is ******************************************************************** Regions claim that I owe them 130$ When I already paid the FULL amount. The charge off amount was 457$ Written off on my credit report as 384$ I paid them 474$ which covered the late fee. Regions had zero notes on the account until I called about this concern mid October. The last report was Feb 2023 my payment was the next month in march on the 3rd. When you contact regions they will confirm on the same day I made a payment. EXCEPT they will have a different amount. And they are okay with violating my right by reporting incorrect information to my credit score 15 U.S.C 1681s-2 (A)(1) A person shall not furnace, any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cost to believe that the information is in accurate My reasonable cost will be the screen shot of the transaction from my bank account. All ********************** has a report simply saying I owe this 130$ amount and a phone call on in October for notes. A simple report has no greater value than a screenshot of my bank statement to prove my claim I will provide the transaction amount and the date and the exact bank in the pictures attached. I am rejecting this response because region has no right to close this account because they responded with an explanation I literally showed my bank statement showing the exact amount i paid them. If they cant delete this account than I wish to remind them to provide me the information that verified where my money went too.

I tried to access my Regions Bank checking account to make on line bill payments. I received a message to contact an 800 telephone number concerning this issue.Upon calling the listed number, I was told that the issue involved a third party vendor and the bank could not address the issues that prevented my accessing my bill payments. I was also informed that it would possibly be 72 hours before this issue was addressed and corrected.Over the past 12 months I have had several issues with Regions' bill payment system. The previous issue involved that changing of date payment information on the banks system. I was informed by Regions that it was a third party issue and not the banks issue to resolve. This situation is dire for myself as I am recovering from throat cancer and am not to be in direct sunlite due to the radiation *****. Without the bill pay function I will be forced to travel to the bank, post office et al to make bill payments. This position is not tenable with my current medical issues. Any help with this issue will be greatly appreciated.Business Response
