We were issued a claim check from insurance to cover damaged caused by a tornado on May the 8th 2024. Regions refused to let us deposit the check at the local Columbia branch 2 seperate times, the first of which they told us to come back, and get the inside staff get it done. After 3 attempts to get the check deposited we were told to go online, and follow a different process. We did that, and were told we couldnt just get the money, but had to have the property rebuilt to its original state. We called and told them we couldnt because of the codes violations we would receive, etc. We then requested to use funds to payoff the loan instead to bypass their erroneous request. They still held our funds for a very, very long time preventing us from using our insurance money in any way. They deposited our insurance check in an account we couldnt control from June 7th, until they finally issued our payment August 2nd, if you dont count the runaround we got from the local branch for several weeks. The only reason they sent it that soon, was because of the numerous calls we made to complain, only to get told "its in processing", over, and over, and over, and over again. They also charged us 500 dollars to close our line of credit account THAT HAD A ZERO BALANCE!!!!! Absolutely despicable the way they scam tornado victims! After they finally did issue some of our owed insurance money, I reported a formal complaint with their team, and was finally told to pound sand weeks later on 9/16/24. They need to pay up like it was their own tornado money!! Treat others the way you want to be treated.I will only recommend people steer far away from Regions bank mortgages!

4 fraudulent checks ( 1 on 7/25/24, 2 on 7/26/24 and 1 (one) on 8/8/24) totaling $16,584.20. We notified the bank on 8/12 and was told by **** ******* that they will put a freeze on the account and will start an investigation and we will get the money back in the account within 30 days. I asked **** if we need to make a police report, and I was told that was not needed, the bank will do the investigation. I emailed **** on 8/30/2024 inquired on the status of the investigation. I received a voicemail on 9/03/2024 stating I would have to come in the bank to fill out an affidavit to continue the investigation. That was 18 days after I first called the bank to file an inquiry. When I called the main regions bank number for fraud, I talked to Pheoshia ***** and **** ******, who told me no investigation was ever reported by the branch. They created an investigation on 9/3/24 the investigation claim number is ***************** concern is that the checks were cashed had no endorsement and were written as a bill pay from my bank, making me concerned that someone from the local bank committed check fraud.

My checking and savings account received a branch hold on June 5th, I was sent a fake check (I was not aware it was fake), tried to deposit it, it was removed from my account, the money was never used, account was frozen. I received an email from regions saying it would take 30 days for them to close my account and then I would receive what was left in my accounts through mail on checks. It has now been over 3 months and no one has an answer for ***** account is still under a branch hold as if no one has worked on the case! Ive called multiple times, Ive gone up to branches and no one can seem to help me. I just keep getting Im sorry left and right. Im a 20 year old broke college student this situation is hurting my pocket and important things I need to cover.

I am rejecting this response because:
I was not called or contacted via email to address the issue. How can a company assume that there is not an issue in having a credit card that cannot be used on ***** Pay when ALL other banks and Credit Card Companies have no problem providing this service. I was told that this is an issue with ***** called **** and in turn was immediately transferred back to Regions to be told that it was ****s issue and that Regions could not do anything about it. Now I have contacted BBB only to be dismissed by Regions yet again.

On September 7, 2024, I received an email alerting me that my balance was a -141. 17 and needed to be rectified by 8pm, September 9, 2024. On September 9, 2024, my balance was brought to a positive and I assumed I was cleared. From speaking with customer service, I was informed that on September 9th during processing, an transaction in the amount of $15.00 from ATT occurred which caused my balance to again be negative. I was not aware that any other transaction had taken place on my account because again, I had previously brought my balance to a positive. As a result, I was charged a $36 OD fee and Regions just sent me another email stating that I would be charged another $36 OD on top of that one. I don't believe it is fair that I was originally charged the $36 as I brought my account to a positive before 8pm and it was positive when I last checked my account which was exactly at 8pm on September. I was never informed by Regions that this new transaction occurred and that my account was in the negative.

Branch where account was opened: ************************************ *************************** Branch visited on 09.09.2024: Regions Bank located at *********************************** *************************** Summary of Concern: I have been in contact with Regions Bank through numerous phone calls and several in-branch visits. The issue is that Regions Bank, without my authorization, initiated the closure of my checking account and credit line. I received a written notice stating that I would need to withdraw all funds by September 10, 2024.I made multiple attempts to withdraw these funds via ATM, store purchases, and in-person at the branch. The in-branch experience was unsatisfactory. Not only did the team refuse to provide me with my funds, but they also failed to give any reason for not releasing them. To exacerbate the situation, they locked my accounts, leaving me with no access to my ******** provide context, I am a military veteran with stage 4 cancer, and I have limited time left to live. As a result of Regions Banks actions, I am currently unable to afford my cancer medications, pain medications, and food. The branch employees refused to escalate the matter to a Regional Manager upon request, and my calls to their ***** number resulted in a supervisor stating that they have no governance over the conduct of individual branches. I have taken several **** trips, costing $30 round trip each time, to resolve this matter. Regions Bank is holding my money hostage, providing no means of accessing or obtaining my funds, and giving me an endless runaround.I did receive an internal complaint number from the supervisor: #******.I seek assistance in resolving this matter as it is severely impacting my ability to live and continue treatment for my cancer.

I applied for a Regions Bank credit card because of an advertised offer of $200 if I spent $1,000 within a specific time frame. My online application was paused due to a "fraud issue," so I went to a local branch where the representative suggested I apply in person. Although I was approved, the credit limit was lower than expected despite having excellent credit. I spent $1,000 before my first statement but later discovered from support that the $200 offer wasnt applied to my card. The offer is still advertised everywhere, including their website. I feel deceived and tricked by Regions Bank and plan to file complaints with the Attorney General and the Consumer Financial ****************** I am seeking a resolution and expect them to honor their advertised offer.
