3 weeks ago regions shut my account down for supposedly fraudulent activity but it was not. I called and they told me to go in. Went in 2 times and nothing has come from it. The last time I went in I was told it would drop off in 24 hours, still has not dropped off. I applied for a new account for my vehicle extended warranty and that caused it to shut down my account.I had went to 2 locations. First is ********************************** Second is ******************************************************Business Response

I've had a money market account/checking account with ********************** since 2011. I received a letter stating my money was going to be turned over to the state if I didn't respond by Aug 23rd. I noticed the checking account had drastically been reduced. I inquired about the accounts and was told one was money market and the other was a checking account that was given for free as long as my money market account was over ********. I had withdrawn 2500 out in 2020 and had no idea I still had the checking account because all money was suppose to be in savings. Regions bank had been taking $10 a month out for at least 4 years without me knowing because I NEVER received a statement other than from the savings account. I wouldn't have left money in a checking account with no activity for the bank to deplete my funds. I asked why I received savings account statement but not the checking account. I was told because the savings account was by paper statement and the checking was online. I never received any notification that the checking account existed. The bank manager informed me they would refund $70 but not the whole amount. I feel if the bank is taking my money without my knowledge that is stealing.Business Response

On 07/17/2024 I deposited a check for ******** $ into my regions account. And my check cleared the next day on 07/18/2024.it was placed on additional hold. after being held an extra two weeks. It was shown as a cleared transaction. When I tried to transfer money out of account for bills and other expenses I was given a notice that my account was in restriction and that I would need to come to the bank to confirm my identification. After doing so it has been another two weeks and I havent heard anything back. I finally got an email saying that my account was in fraud restriction review. This is a new account and this is my first complete deposit. Please help me regain my account. I am falling far behind on my rent and other bills and my children are about to start school.Business Response

I have recieved nearly 700 worth of fees in the last month. I complained about the overdraft fees . Some fee 108 dollars each. I told them I locked my account online. No one told me that there was an online number you had to call to opt out of overdraft. I kept telling them is was essentially a rip off and taking money I didnt have. They did not inform me on how to opt out or stop it. And this has been for years. They only said payments from account number couldnt be stopped. A lady yesterday gave me a number to call to opt out. The amount on money they have taken is ridiculous. I had a 1000 check post and of that I now have 500. 500 are feesBusiness Response

I was informed that a banker at the New Warrington branch changed my account preferences by mistake which cost me several hundred dollars in fees. After calling both the branch and the 800 number multiple times to fix this issue it was asserted to me that they do not have the ability or tools to fix this mistake and refund the money wrongfully withdrawn from my account due to their "system".Business Response

On 5/31/2024, I deposited a check that I was paid for the amount of $5,944. I was initially delayed access to my funds for what I presumed to be a legitimate reason; Then time progressed beyond what seemed to be necessary for the check to clear, causing me to inquire about the reason for the extended delay. I was told that the check was suspected for potential fraud and to, basically, get in contact with the business who wrote the check. In doing so, I was informed that there was nothing fraudulent about the check. However, I am still prevented access to my account and debit card. Nevertheless, Regions Bank continues to deduct their $5 monthly fee from my funds. How is it that they are permitted to take from my funds, but I'm not? I would think that if they concluded that these funds were questionable that they wouldn't deduct from these funds, nor would they be allowed to do so.Business Response

Sat 8/3/24 around 10am both of my Regions accounts were restricted and card from each blocked. Customer support told me cards were not blocked and could not see why my accounts were restricted. Mon 8/5/24 in local branch first said there was problem with some check. So I inquired why is Both my accounts blocked, they each have different primary owner, so they are not the same or related. Then they said I have to prove my current address, which I have change there already about 2 months ago. They did not asked me then. My address is a *** mail box because I have sold my house and did not find new one yet, so I stay at RV place. They demanded utility bill, which I do not/can not have since I have no home. Then they required me get letter from the rv place, which has nothing to do with any of this. I am renting rv slot, as on vacation. There is one flat rate. I had to bother rv manager to get me some proof I stay here, which is not his job. In mean while I can not touch my money for 3 days now, as I also deal with spouse in final days of his life. I missed therapy appointment which I needed, and now I am late on my credit card ****. I have no other cards or banks, no family, not friends, money from house in bank which did not mind to deposit after the address change without address proof.Business Response
