1 starPlease be advised that Regions does not care about the customers or the hardships they are facing. I called customer service for help and was told they could not assist. If you are considering opening an account with them please dont. Explore your options.Review fromDavid W

1 starBEWARE! BEWARE! Horrible in every way! I just opened two accounts online, a checking and a savings. I had some questions and called, after a long wait I got tired and hung up. I logged in and decided to get my answers in FAQ (no help) and chat. BIG mistake going to chat to ask a question. You meet "******" their AI so called assistant which is nothing more than a frustrating quagmire of loops, circle backs, and repeated wrong respones.. Pathetic!!!! So now my blood pressure is peaking and I call back again, again waiting too long. I telll the girl that "axe" me questions; Close the accounts!, (I hate poor service and do not tolerate it!) as I was getting no answers. She marbles, she can't while there is funds, I have to spend the money or take it out myself..I am FREAKING LIVID now.. I log back in to xfer and find they're charging me $25 early acct closure fee and $3.00 for the xfer back to my bank that they debited to open the accounts! So, I have to let my money sit in that den of theives for 6 months to NOT have them STEAL $25 dollars!!! Their customer service is horrid, cant get answers. absolutely the worst bank experience in my life (and I'm 61)Review fromBERNADETTE S

1 starThis bank has closed my account with reason or notice and no explanation that makes any sense. I've only had an account with this bank less than a month made multiple deposits and transactions to be told today it was closed because "more information was needed" and I am being told a copy of my lease or utilities bill was needed, no letter or heads-up so i can at least open another account to route my money to,and that was never received and it was closed for that reason. Like I stated I've been to a branch and deposited money and not one time was I told I need a lease ir utilities bill for a basic checking account. I have received the check card to my address and the lease or utilities bill was not needed to receive it. My payroll check is scheduled to be deposited in a couple days and no one knows where my money will end up since the account is closed. The craziness of it all I can open up another account once I provide a lease or utilities bill. Beware of Regions Bank anywhere. They will rob you with no explanation.Review fromSi H

1 starMy husband and I moved from *************** to Regions last year and are Regions Preferred Banking customers. Yesterday, I brought a cashiers check in for a large amount and the teller deposited the checks and due to the amount, needed an override from her manager so the funds werent held. Because this was a cashiers check, it didnt qualify for a hold since a cashiers check is considered collected funds. The override wasnt done correctly and my funds were placed on hold with no notice to me. Today, I noticed that the funds were not available and assumed they were on hold. When I went into my online banking app, however, I found that the funds are not only not on hold but they arent anywhere visible on my account. I called to speak with a representative to see where the funds went as the branch was already closed and was told by the phone representative that the funds arent there because I likely didnt deposit that much money. I asked to speak with a manager who claims that the funds are on hold but cant provide me any documentation proving that the funds are pending because he doesnt have access to view that. If he doesnt have access to view that, how can he confirm that they are pending?! I asked but he told me he just knew and the call ended. Im filing a complaint here so others are aware of their abysmal customer service. Tomorrow Ill be going back to the branch to see if I can get this resolved there and if not, a police report for a class C felony will be filed.Review fromSherri B

1 starThis bank has a program Zelle that they can not make transitions in or make corrections on, they let this company control their customers accounts ( by locking up their funds not with Zelle but with Regions) I made one transitions through Zelle and tried to make another, ***** sent an email stating my account was on hold and locked me out of my Regions account. I have called Regions 6 times in the past two days and no resolution to day. This is very poor practice on Regions, this is not the first time that ***** has locked my account with **********************, the first time 2014, I didn't even have a Zelle profile at that time, it was the wrong email address. Sorry to say I'm looking for a new Bank after 40 years with Regions. **************Review fromRachel S

1 starMy experience dealing with Regions bank recently, ****************** misrepresented, a material fact insinuating that my grandson who was with me that day, made comments about investing in crypto currency. When in fact what she did with this lie was an attempt to cover her tracks in her interaction with me and my family. she was unprofessional, rude and victimizing while interacting with me. she used lines of suggestive questioning in an attempt to get me to falsely admit to actions that were not being conducted. When I made her aware, she only became more belligerent and aggressive. My grandson then requested the name of her supervisor, which made her very angry. This is the reason I believe she flagged the account and made those false allegations. To be a distraction against her conduct when dealing with me and my family when we attempted to conduct business at your East point ATL, ** branch location. *********************************** conducted himself similarly to ******************. He accused me of being taken advantage of and scammed (his words), I refuted his assumption. He was steadfast in his pursuit to get a false confession using ****** technique and other bullying tactics. When I explained that I was a part of the trust, he over-talked me and attempted to put words into my mouth. I was very confused as to why he was making certain insinuation. No prior flags were raised until I came to the ****************** which seems to have been placed near low-income neighborhoods. I believe this location stereotyped me for what they may be used to dealing with, which was a grave mistake. After I made *********************************** aware that I was not being taken advantage of nor scammed, he still took it upon himself to declare that he still believes I am being scammed. This is a complete overreach outside of his jurisdiction as a representative of a bank. This interrogation against a black woman over 70 years old was also a major violation of my privacy.Sincerely,****************Review fromCody B

1 starThis is for their home improvement finance company, Enerbank.....I wish I could give them 0 stars. My wife and I are purchasing a home and need a fence installed asap after closing. The fence company has been great but EnerBank has been a nightmare. We are financing the home in my name and, because we didn't want anything to effect my credit during the mortgage process, we chose to finance the fence in her name only. We provided numerous documents, including a fully signed contract, showing she will be on the deed with me yet they refused to complete the loan process until we could produce a deed showing her name. It's obviously not an ownership issue because they said they could move forward if we added me to the application. I explained that we have several projects planned for the new home which are all dependent on the fence being installed first. They didn't care. This isn't the only project we are financing in the same way as the fence yet it is the least expensive and has been the biggest headache. The other 2 finance companies were able to apply common sense and approve the loans without issue. If a company can't employ common sense is such a simple situation, how can I trust them to service my loan. We have canceled the application and will give our hard earned money to a company that cares more about its customers.Review fromAngelicia G

1 starI needed to update my address on my account after moving, so I provided my rental agreement and other bills to document my new address. Soon, I began receiving mail and checks with the updated address, which made it seem like everything was settled. However, out of nowhere, Regions closed my checking, savings, and Now Card accounts. They withdrew all my funds and mailed checks. Now, I don't have access to my money, and this happened over a holiday weekend. When I called to verify that the checks were being mailed to the correct address, I was told that they couldn't provide that information over the phone. I would need to go to a branch to verify when the bank opens on Monday. This has left me without money to pay my bills, and I don't even know if the checks are being sent to the correct address. All of this occurred without any notification of an issue that needed resolving. I will never bank here again.Review fromMargie D

2 starsI went into Regions Bank on ***************************, **. I was told they could not cash my check, which was a personal check to get MY MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. I was told that the bank didnt have enough money to cash it because a lot of people had been in that day and cashed large checks. I was so flabbergasted that the bank that handles our finances didnt have any money to cash a check. I have never heard of such a thing. I started banking with regions (it was Deposit Guaranty back then) when I was 14 years old. I am now a seasoned senior citizen. I was embarrassed, insulted, ****** off, and broke. My husband and I are considering moving our banking business from Regions to another financial institution. I was given no apology for the inconvenience and lack of efficiency and professionalism on the banks part. The only thing I received was my check back and a snide look from the three tellers and the manager in the bank. I need to know that my bank is financially stable and polite and professional to its customers. Today is July 3, 2024. By July 5, my husband and I will have discussed this matter and made a decision.Signed: Disgruntled, Disappointed, Disgraced and Broke.Review fromMichael S
