1 starI received a withdrawal from my account from Wallmart for the amount of $110.Since i had not bought anything from there i called bank and canceled my card.A couple of days later a fee of $110 was removed from Sams Club , at no time did i give them permission to take money from my account . This is WRONG!!! I called both Wallmart and Sams and got NO satisfaction ! Businesses should not be able to do this!Review fromPatty B

1 starI would give a negative star if I could!! I purchased an e-giftcard for Southwest Airlines online at Sam'sClub.com for a friend's upcoming birthday. My payment went through just fine and I received an email of confirmation. The website said allow 24-48 hours to process. Late the next night, I still haven't seen my e-giftcard, so I checked my Sam's Club account to find out my order was canceled. I never got an email explaining what had happened or that my order was canceled. So, I started a live chat. After chatting with 2 different people and a few days later, this is what I received:
"I apologize about the delay in my response. We’ve conducted an additional review of your account. As outlined in the Terms and Conditions of Membership, we’ve exercised our right to restrict access to the website. Your membership is not impacted and you’re more than welcome to shop at any Sam’s Club facility. We apologize for the inconvenience and understand that you may not wish to keep your membership open. Please let me know if you would like for me to process a refund at this time. It's been my pleasure assisting you. Thank you for contacting Sam's club. Stay safe and have a great day!"
No explanation as to why my order was canceled, except they have exercised their right to restrict my access. I read the terms and conditions. There is nothing that states they can restrict access or cancel my order. Worst online shopping experience ever! Oh, I still have the $449 charge pending on credit card. No refund, no gift card and no agreement in the Terms and Conditions to restrict access or cancel my order! Looks like a law suit to me!Review fromPhyllis S

1 starI cancelled my membership with Sam's Club in 2021. In 2022 I did not notice the charge for auto renewel of membership. I just checked for January 2023 and they automatically renewed my membership for Sam's club $110.00 and would not refund the membership for 2022. They said they had no record of my cancellation and at the time I cancelled Sam's Club did not inform me that I needed to cancel the automatic renewal for membership. I got transferred 3 times to finally get the correct person to cancel my membership. They then transferred me to synchrony Bank where I request to stop the automatic renewal. Stealing. Everything is automatic via email and credit cards. I do not think elderly people would be able to figure all of this out. Shame on Sam's. I leave a 1 star rating simply because this is stealing.Review fromWilliam O.

1 starWe ordered the manhattan media fireplace online. It arrived two days ahead of schedule, when we got home from work we opened the box and it was damaged. We immediately contacted Sam’s club customer service and they replied “no problem, we will replace it and that someone will contact us within 72 hours”. We gave them our contact information and waited. The next day they left a voicemail that we could barely understand, the only thing we understood was that we did not have to do anything and that they will schedule a pick up.
Today we called and spoke to a customer service supervisor. He stated that a refund would be processed due to the item was out of stock. I told him that I was currently on the Sam’s club site and that the product was available but at a higher price than what we paid. He replied that there was nothing he could do and that a refund would be processed once they picked up the item. I stated that we did not want a refund, we wanted a replacement as it was not our fault that it was delivered damaged. He replied again that there was nothing he could do. I stated that if he could provide me with the corporate number of sam’s club. He replied that i was speaking with corporate and that he was a supervisor. He also stated that a refund was going to be processed once the item was pick up and that I could order the Manhattan fireplace at the current price. We are very disappointed at Sam’s club and their false product guarantee as it is not our fault that it was delivered damage and they could not provide a replacement at the price we paid. Me and my family will no longer do any type of business with Sam’s club or Walmart. We will find another store brand that has integrity. This damage product has been sitting in our house for the past 4 days and no one has contacted us for pick up. All we are asking is that, We want a replacement at the price we paid for or our money back and the damaged product out of our house. Hopefully someone will resolve this.Review fromCassandra B

1 starSam’s club charged me $664 for a fireplace that I never accepted because it was severely damaged. The driver would not give me any paperwork stating that since I denied the delivery he wasn’t required to give me any, and trusting silly old me believed him:: In hindsight, I think he didn’t give me any proof because he was trying to save his job because he shouldn’t have been carrying a 200lb item without assistance. I’ve been in dispute with Synchrony bank who sponsors the Mastercard for Sam’s.
Since October 2022 I’ve gone back and forth with Synchrony and there has been no refund, no apology, and no fireplace. I’ve been a loyal customer since 2013, unfortunately, I’m going to have to retain a lawyer which will probably cost me more than the fireplace that I never received, but it’s the principle of good business, isn’t it? I will never give them my hard earn money or use their MasterCard and believe me I should own stock in Sam’s because I shop there so often. I’ve never in my 60 years would’ve expected this from Sam’s Club. If you have time read the other reviews from 4 other customers having delivery problems with this same Fireplace. Shame on you Sam’s Club for not standing behind your return policy and making me pay for something I do not own or in return you’ll report me to the Credit bureau.Review fromThomas L.

1 starI have been a loyal Sam's Club member for over 20 years and was happy shopping there until they implemented deceitful practices and lied to me. The Customer Service Staff (Vrindra and Joseph) perpetuated those same lies and practices. Hence, I returned an item today and was informed that I paid for it with CREDIT! NOT SO!! I make ALL purchases with DEBIT, so that if I am disappointed with the purchase, I may return it for my CASH back. The days of Debit Card returns being honored for cash at SAM'S CLUB in Sterling VA are OVER. Sam's Club now changes Debit Card transactions to Credit Card transactions on their receipts and the refund must go back to the original card, received 1-2 weeks later, instead of CASH that I need for Gas, Food and other necessities. I am being generous with a One-Star review. Needless to say, I am NEVER going back to SAM'S CLUB and would never recommend it to anyone. I will spend my money at a honest wholesale club, not the deceitful SAM'S CLUB! I also shop at COSTCO and this is NEVER an issue and I am now a COSTCO member for LIFE!!! SAM'S CLUB can con and scam somebody else and I am sure they will!!Review fromLeslie W

1 starDon't ever let them renew your membership at a check stand. Last year I did that and without my permission, they checked the box for automatic renewals. My bank flagged it as fraud but it went through anyway. I learned that they do this at the check stands and you have to tell them no. I never use my debit card for automatic renewals of anything so this is how I know they did it without my permission. They don't really care what their customers think about them.Review fromBeverly S.

1 starNo customer service
No one helps, just brushed off to another person
You can never speak to a manager
Better off going to Aldis
There you are greeted and stopped just to see if you can be helped.
If you order home delivery make sure you have a week of food to last you , you might get your delivery in a week. They take no responsibility when you do not get your order the delivery is from a third party, advised to call corporate office, when you call corporate you get someone from out of state, then your put on hold for 34 minutes by a supervisor and he never comes back. As of today still no delivery but charges are pending on my card . despicable and unprofessional way to operate a business and treat customers. Would have liked the opportunity to address this with a person but can’t get anyone to help.Review fromVelecha R

2 starsSam's Club renewed my membership without my consent. They took $50.00 off my card without letting me know and when I called them to refund the money they told me it could take 5 to 7 days. They were able to take the money right away but not give it back.Review fromEric T

1 starI joined Sam's Club as a new member through one of their promotions: Membership for $50 plus $50 off your first purchase in store. I received an email including the 27Y9X Join Offer code. On my first in-club purchase, the discount did not show up at register. Customer service basically kept saying "I've never seen a deal like this before" or "did you put the code in when you signed up". My response of showing them the deal details and the email showing the offer code in the email were met with blank stares. I showed them a Sam's club order email with the offer code in it and I was continually asked if I put the code in. I had to have put it in to get a return email with the code correct? I cancelled my membership on the spot, but will never get that 1.5 hours of my life back (driving to the store, shopping, dealing with customer service). The only redeeming quality is that I could cancel my membership on the spot and receive a full refund. Don't join!
