Unacceptable Treatment and Systemic Failures — Twice Burned by Walmart
Let me be very clear: this is the second time Walmart’s broken system has put my family in a terrible position—and I’m done staying quiet about it.
Most recently, I placed an order that included a jack I needed to repair my vehicle and get it back on the road. The order status said “delayed,” and then, just like last time, it never arrived. When I contacted customer service, I was told I couldn’t cancel the order until the “system resets at midnight.” Seriously? That’s the best they can do?
Now I have to wait up to 10 days to get MY money back for an item I never received—while my car sits undriveable in the driveway.
Last time this happened, the order contained baby formula, milk, and food for my infant. Essentials. I was told to go pick it up at the store, only to arrive and find that the store had no record of the order whatsoever. The store manager was dismissive, unhelpful, and flat-out rude. And let’s be honest—it likely had everything to do with my skin color. I filed a complaint and never heard back. No resolution. No accountability. No apology.
Walmart continues to fail at even the most basic level of customer service—especially for people who don’t have time, energy, or extra money to burn. Twice now, I’ve been left scrambling because of their incompetence, and I’ve had enough. I’m posting this everywhere until I see some accountability.
Fix your systems. Fix your staff. And stop treating people like their time and money don’t matter.

I went into Walmart today expecting a quick, easy trip. I only needed jasmine rice, mayonnaise, and a couple of hygiene products for my daughter. Unfortunately, what should have taken 15 minutes turned into a frustrating and humiliating experience.
First, I couldn’t even access razors without assistance. No one was around to help, and I nearly left without them, which would have cost the store an additional $50 in sales. A worker finally arrived just as I was about to leave.
At checkout, the register double-scanned my mayonnaise, which required an override. Even after the override, the system flagged me because I didn’t bag it immediately. The screen replayed a video of me like I was stealing, which was incredibly embarrassing.
To make things worse, when I tried to leave, I was stopped again because of my large bag of jasmine rice. I had accidentally left my receipt at the register, and was made to feel like a thief yet again.
I’m beyond frustrated with Walmart. Shopping shouldn’t make customers feel criminalized. I understand they deal with theft, but treating every paying customer like a suspect is unacceptable. This was humiliating, inconvenient, and completely unnecessary. I will continue to speak out publicly about how poorly customers are treated here.

Purchase some tires and I returned to the store to have the issue looked at this Walmart. Although I was second in line, I waited over two hours only to be told the sensors were “bad,” and that it wasn’t Walmart’s responsibility.
Unsatisfied with the vague explanation, I took my vehicle to a professional tire shop for a second opinion. The technician confirmed that the TPMS sensors were physically broken — a type of damage that typically results from improper handling during tire installation. The technician made it clear this kind of damage is not wear and tear, but rather the result of negligent service.
Due to this poor service, I am now facing $300 in repairs to replace the broken sensors. This was a completely avoidable expense had the tire installation been done properly. The Walmart team refused to accept responsibility and offered no support or resolution.
This level of service is unacceptable for a company of Walmart’s size. The people that work on that store has 0 customer service skills. Horrible the worst place ever….

For a global company, I’ve never seen such unethical business practices used. I purchased a computer and was told it would be delivered the next day. After it was delayed I reached out to customer support, and was told the product was actually out of stock. Upon getting escalated to a manager I was told that they actually had located the item, and that it would be delivered the next day and they guaranteed that to be the case. The following day the item wasn’t delivered so I called back in and was told it was out of stock. Essentially they are pulling a bait and switch online by showing things to be available, allowing you to purchase, and just hoping that they will be able to fill the order some day. I’m now being told it can take up to 48 hours to call other stores and see if they have one available.

I ordered 12 boxes of 2024 Panini Donruss Optic Football NFL retail products, and every single box arrived damaged. The corners were crushed, and the packaging was visibly dented, making them unusable for collecting or reselling.
I reached out to Walmart customer support and was shocked by how unhelpful they were. Despite providing photos and a detailed explanation, they refused to offer a refund or replacement. The entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing.
As a longtime customer, I expected better service and accountability. Be cautious when ordering collectible or condition-sensitive items from Walmart — support may not have your back if something goes wrong.

Waited 1.5 hours for a pick up order, spoke to the store multiple times and they said it would be another 30 minutes before they had time to bring it out to us. Spent another 30 minutes on the phone with Walmart corporate just to cancel our order and be told it would take 7-10 buisness days for a refund. Horrible customer service and experience.

I am a disabled, female, 64-year-old customer living in Folsom CA. I am legally blind, profoundly deaf, and have balance issues. I cannot drive. I belong to the Walmart grocery delivery program, and I appreciate it very much . On 5-1-25 however, my groceries were delivered, and it was the wrong order. None of the items were mine. I tried to call the driver back. No answer. I called Walmart’s main customer service. The person had very limited English and I think the situation was too complex. They wanted me to return all my items on the computer. Put in a new EXPRESS order and throw away everything I did receive. That cost Walmart A LOT of money and seems totally illogical. I called my local Walmart, who delivered the incorrect order. I had to call 6 times. 3 hang ups. 3 – there is nothing I can do speeches. Call corporate. The female employees were all nice, respectful, and at least TRIED to be helpful. All male employees, especially the online grocery manager, were so rude. He made me cry as I felt disrespected, insignificant, and scared. I depend on others to help me. Walmart made the error. Not me. I am a Walmart Plus member, a Sam’s Club member, etc. I spend a GREAT deal of money at Walmart. I feel I should be treated accordingly. At this point, I am looking forward to the Walmart Boycott and I’ll have Safeway deliver my groceries. Is this how Walmart want to be represented? I already posted on the Folsom Walmart Facebook – there are tons more social media sites.

On 4/27 I placed an online order for pickup. The temporary hold amount was $145.31. The actual total was $136.32. On 4/29, the hold fell off and my bank was charged only the $136.32. An hour later I received an alert from my bank that Walmart just debited $8.99 from my account, which is the exact amount of the hold that fell off this morning, and it had been backdated to 4/27. I contacted customer service, and no one sees this $8.99 charge from this morning. Filed a dispute with my bank for FRAUD and theft. They, at no time, had any authority to go back into my account and take more money.

My husband took his 2014 Chevy Equinox for a oil change at Walmart 1201 Knox Ave. My husband, me & our 3 kids walked around Walmart for 2 hours then my husband went & checked status of our SUV bc hadn't received call or txt about status of our SUV. The guy told my husband they canceled the order. Our engine was ticking bad & 0% oil. My husband checked oil % when we pulled up at Walmart & it said 35% oil left. They didn't apologize or anything & an employee girl from Walmart walked up & the Walmart employee guy talking to my husband just cutoff my husband off in the middle of him talking to him to talk to Walmart employee girl. We walked off in anger & disgust. We've been using Walmart for years for oil change & tires. We had to go to Jiffy Lube to get an oil change & engine filter change & had to pay way more money bc Walmart didn't want to service our SUV today. Thanks Jill J.
