I received a letter in the mail from *** *** **** and they said I had an outstanding balance with Cards Recycling. I made a complaint against them on May 14, 2024. I had never had a contract through Cards Recycling and they said I owe $66.00. I never spoke with them or signed a contract or anything. I feel like that was improper billing. I did have ********** and they were bought out by Cards Recycling. Cards Recycling is improperly billing people that don't have a contract with them. Within the last hour, I have been on the phone with both companies and they said I have until June 9th to get a resolution but no one can give me answers on either end.
I would like to see this bill go away.Business Response

Cards Recycling took over our previous trash collector(* *** *) January 2024. Auto bank payment for $90.00 was set up on January 4,2024 for 3 months trash service. Again on March 12,2024 Cards took out another $90.00 for April - May, June 2024.I called and asked why they withdrew so early again no explanation .Each time about once a month our trash would not get picked up.
I called and asked and their excuse would be our trash will be picked up within 24-48 hours. No it never happened and our trash was not picked up till the following scheduled pick up day. Again our trash was not picked up on Wednesday, called and she told me my pick up date was moved from Wednesday to Thursday. Same story trash was not picked up on Thursday. called and same old." your trash will be ;icked up 24-48 hours."
Our garbage is still out by the road May 23, 2024!
I told the woman just refund June's $30.00 and cancel my services now on May 21, 2024. She told me that they don't refund and we would have service May thru June.
Cards is scamming the customers, charging for services that we are not getting. They are crooked.
Concerned with Cards still withdrawing money from bank account after I cancelled my services
I went to the bank and had to pay $30.00 for stop payment.
There are numerous complaints from Cards customers, same problems over and over and we need this company held accountable.

Been trying to get our trash picked up all week. Call every day since Monday and got a don’t give a **** employee and heard a different lie every time. I set up service with Cards Recycling in February 2024 and since then they have missed my trash several times going weeks without picking it up. I made my 2nd quarterly payment with them on May 3rd 2024 for $94.00 they have not picked my trash up once since then and it is bow May 23rd 2024. I have called several times and been told over the phone that someone would be there to get the trash the next day and no one has come. I called yesterday and was told by a customer service rep that they would cancel my service but not refund any of my money. They said it is against their policy. I was transferred to a manager and they said the same thing. I have been unable to find this policy anywhere and it was not provided when I started service with them. They said they would continue service with me until the end of my quarterly billing statement if I would like or I could cancel without getting the money I paid them back. My trash is now overflowing. I have now seen all over social media and on website reviews that since they bought out the company that had it before they are doing this to all their customers.Business Response

I've been using this company to pick up my trash since last year. I paid in January for three months, as well as April and May for $21 for each month. I paid about $69 for April, May and June. Apparently they upped the price at some point so it only covered April and May. They upped it to $23 something in January, and later on upped to $29.15 and I was told nothing about this. I have since hired a different company. I called them on 5/22/2024 and talked to a girl there and told her I hired someone else and do not want to continue with their services. They agreed to that, but told me I had to either pay the bill that was sent for June (18 dollars) or the charge to pick up the can (25 dollars). I asked them why is that, and they told me they couldn't waive both. Why should I have to pay for services I'm not using in June with them, and why am I being charged for them to pick up their property, I shouldn't be charged for it. On June 5th, the trash guy who would have picked up my trash was in my neighborhood picking up neighbors trash, and he came by our house. I let him know we are no longer a CARDS customer. He inquired if the dumpster was ours, and I told him no. The dumpster belongs to the company. He picked it up with the truck and threw it into the back and crushed it. The neighbor also witnessed this. We just received a bill from CARDS on Saturday for our July - September service. They are also charging me a late fee. They have a prior balance of $18.05 for us. The bill came to $110.50. I cancelled my service with them on May 22nd right after they picked up my trash. When I called to cancel, I was told there would be a $25 fee to pick up the dumpster, or I could pay the $18.05 for the trash service for June. I am already paying another trash company for June. They told me a supervisor would call, but no one called me.Business Response

I have been missed 3 times in April for trash pickup. I have called numerous times and asked for the manager to call me and he won't return my call. There are no other trash companies around and I am not happy with them.

I paid for services for April, May, and June so far I have not had pick up for 3 weeks. It's not May. The company has given no explanation of why our entire neighborhood, town, and neighboring towns have not had service provided in weeks. This morning I was told by a customer service rep that a refund could not be provided. Even canceling services would not get us a refund. They stated we would be given service until July. By doing so, you can avoid any charges for the upcoming billing period. You can cancel your service at any time. I received a bill of $138 and called to cancel services and have them pick up their bins. I then received another bill for $138 and a letter from a law firm requesting payment. I received bills for trash service from an address I have not lived at since 2020. The address was within city limits.
I have called city hall, cards company and now a law firm and told all I do not live there and haven't since 2020.
The bill goes back to 2023 and I have paid city hall for trash pickup at new address since 2022 when I moved to New place in *********. I have proof of my bill pay.
Both places are within city limits anyways so cards should not be charging extra .
When I call cards they put me off for a call back but never call me back saying they resolved it. Only thing they say is they don't ask for ID they just charge whoever name was on the bill.
I refuse to pay bill for a place I've not lived at since 2020 .Business Response

I paid for a service that they do not provide. My trash has not been picked up for almost a week now. In fact, my whole village of ***** ***** ******* ***** in Joplin MO has not been picked up. I have contacted them multiple times. I was told they would have a truck in the neighborhood today. There was no truck. They are very unreliable. We are supposed to have our trash picked up on Fridays, and you cannot count on it happening. We pay for three months at a time. They are supposed to pick up every Friday.
