We booked UPack to move us from Northern California to Minnesota and everything went very smoothly! We used a 28' trailer provided through Old Dominion, which was dropped off at our home first thing on the day we were scheduled to move. The driver was timely and easy to work with. Once our movers filled the trailer, it was picked up shortly after and all of the interactions were simple. The trailer arrived at the Minnesota Old Dominion location ahead of schedule and it was very easy to get it scheduled for drop off at our new home. Again, once the trailer was unloaded, Old Dominion promptly picked it back up. Literally EVERYONE I spoke with at both UPack and Old Dominion were unusually friendly and helpful. I rarely had to wait on hold (I called UPack a lot due to my anxiety over the move, lol). Honestly, UPack might have the best customer service I've experienced in ... a long time. The drivers at Old Dominion are also top notch. The only cons I can think of are that we were told the drivers would call us when they were about 1 hour from dropping the trailer off, but the first drop off called 5 minutes away and the second one didn't call at all. Considering the logistics involved.... that's nothing. I'm super impressed. Thanks UPack!

Moving from one house to another house is always pain. Moving out of state is a nightmare. But U-pack has made my life easier.
      1. Pricing - It was decent. They have tie-ups with AAA, which has helped me to get a good discount. The price per foot increase is also not that exorbitant.
      2. Communication is super fast. When the service terminals were unresponsive, they have emailed and called on my behalf.
      3. Super fast delivery - Old Dominion was our carrier. Despite significant winter storms, they have delivered our truck on time (in fact, a day prior).

I went through UPack to help ship a 3BR house from Maine to Florida. They were great. They dropped off the trailer on time, had great communication with me through the entire thing. We got our items within 3 days of trailer pick up and everyone we talked to was amazing. When it got here, there was a discrepancy in how much the person marked the trailer as being taken up versus how much space we actually used but I took pictures before the walls were taken down, called the number and had it sorted out. It was just a beginners mistake and they were great about getting it corrected.
For anyone who’s physically able to move their own items into a trailer I would definitely recommend. I’ve already recommended them to my in-laws because they’re planning on moving cross country as well.
The security walls they put up around our items for transit was also something I wasn’t expecting but loved. They had a security tag on it to show there was nothing tampered with which was also nice. Everything arrived in great shape.

I moved from California to Minnesota. I want to express my gratitude for the service U-PACK did for me. From the ‘Get-Go’, John O***** emailed me and kept me informed. I was updated on the arrival, contacted for pick up date/time. When I got to Minnesota, things didn’t go as planned with my house and location so I had to change my destination (twice) to different storage locations. U-Pack still delivered on-time, to the correct location, and professionally.
Thank you U-PACK. A move across the country during the heart of winter that was very challenging as is; you guys made it easier and less stressful. (P.s, even the cost was reasonable, 100% worth!)

      1. UPACK was a great way for so many reasons. The cost was extremely fair and reasonable. Plus I loved the fact that I rented for 20' but we ended up needing the whole truck which we knew was going to be extra per foot because that was clearly laid out in the FAQ's so there was nothing hidden. It was more work for us labor wise but worth it considering we saved at least 3-4,000 minimum! we moved from PA to GA.
      2. The men who picked up and dropped off the trailer were very friendly and helpful with the ramp and explaining everything to us. It was picked up and dropped off as scheduled and whenever I called the people at dispatch and upack were helpful and easily got the information quickly for me.
      3. If you see bad reviews about the movers or your stuff being broken keep in mind they are not a packing/moving company. They will outsource this so those bad reviews should be written for the moving company directly. All of our stuff was packed by me and loaded by me and my husband and everything was in tack and nothing broken! They are just storage and driving the truck.
I was recommended upack by a friend and I will highly recommend to others moving forward! Thank you !

Great company to work with for our move from Utah to Indiana. Upfront pricing, good support, and good instructions/directions throughout the process. Using Upack for our move saved us thousands of dollars as opposed to using Uhaul or a moving company. I highly recommend their services.

I recently relocated from Wyoming to Long Island, NY. (Don't ask.) All the U-Pack reps I spoke with were helpful and never annoyed with my amateur questions about straps, etc. I contracted with Old Dominion via U-Pack and it could not have been easier. Old Dominion dropped off the trailer in my condo parking area packed with snow and ice in Wyoming successfully. Not an easy task. Bryan, the driver, was so kind and helpful as was Casie in the office. My things arrived right on schedule. Brian D. from the Bethpage, NY, Old Dominion depot was masterful dropping my truck off. You try maneuvering a 26 foot trailer into an old historic district in Mount Sinai, NY, with a line of motorists annoyed and waiting! He made sure he did not knock out any trees or bushes. Who cares that much? Brian does. AND, he helped my nephews and I unload boxes during the live drop-off. He would NOT accept a tip. My mother said he has restored her faith in America. Thank you to him, what a great man with a great attitude. I highly recommend U-Pack and Old Dominion. I was quoted $17,500 to move by another local company. While I had to box and move my own belongings with U-Pack (and the local company would have spared me that horrible chore) and it was a lot of work, I saved myself $10,000 using U-Pack and Old Dominion. So far nothing fragile I have taken out of the boxes has been broken. My only suggestion to others is if you live in a state like Wyoming with overnight lows in the -10s, I would not place boxes of dishes or leave furniture exposed in the truck for too long. One of my metal end tables showed the effects of winter weather moisture, ice and wind. Learn from my mistakes. I am very very grateful to all the players involved in my move. Thank you!

U-pack made the move much less stressful than it could have been. I've heard a couple of horror stories about traditional moving companies charging extra charges once your furniture arrived at your new location and then holding your stuff hostage until you paid thousands extra. U-pack couldn't have been simpler. We packed all our stuff ourselves and then hired a team of movers to fill the first trailer when it was dropped off. We needed a 2nd trailer because we own way more stuff than we should. They dropped off the 2nd trailer when they picked up the first. We filled that one to about 15 ft of room. They drove our things from WA to UT and left the day before we did. Old Dominion dispatchers were awesome letting us know the progress and when the trailers arrived at our new location. We hired a team of movers to unload the full trailer. The next day that empty trailer was picked up and the partially filled trailer was dropped off. We unloaded that one and they picked it up the next morning. It went like clockwork and I couldn't have been happier. Thank you, U-pack!

I had a wonderful experience with U Pack. There was a ton of communication from the beginning of my move to the very end. My pick up location had a long driveway and the driver took his time and put the trailer right where we wanted it . He explain all the features that the inside of the truck had. The Old Dominion truck had adjustable overhead racks and plenty of tie down straps It also had a pull down ramp with a hand truck. The lock on it was theirs but once it reaches your unload destination you will need to put your own lock on if needed. Your 3 pack days and unload days do not include weekends so if your schedule according there should be no rush. Just call the day before for trailer needs to be pick up. The trailer was 28 feet and I used 14 feet. If I went over it was 70 bucks a foot and under was the same cost but minus. My credit card was charged once truck was in route to its destination. The truck trailer method would be hard if you needed to store things but if you or a family member can unload the truck on the destination side the cost was approximately half of what all pod companies were. I would definitely use this company again.
      Great experience!
