  This was my second U-Pack (formerly ABF) move. While all went very well both times, I was a bit distressed that the trailer this time (Old Dominion) had no tie-down loops, only the sidebar rails that could only be used with the very minimal commercial number of wide fiber straps the mover provided. The numerous adjustably lowerable bars across the roof did provide an effective place for a mattress and box spring above the load however. The pickup, transit, and delivery were quick and effective, with U-Pack being very responsive to my needs. An additional thing to be aware of if you are not familiar with commercial freight operations is that the the commercial bifold ramp is exceedingly heavy. It must be handled with strength and care in lowering and re-loading into the trailer.

  This was a perfect solution for my budget move. I knew that a "we pack and ship your stuff with excess waste cardboard" was NOT going to be the route I took. My belongings are nice, but not nice enough to treat with the full suite moving companies, not to mention the waste that comes with it.
  Enter U-Pack, with a modest insurance-by-weight policy that would cover myself for what came next, a tour de force of personal boxing and crating and wrapping my own belongings. The no fuss pickup and drop-off were a stress free relief compared to other movers. The gracious 3 days to load and unload allowed me to be master of my own process. Everyone on the phone, both U-Pack and the dispatch from Old Dominion, were courteous and professional.
  I will be using U-Pack for any future moving needs.

  Both drivers (pickup +drop off) were kind, courteous and personable. The truck arrived on time both times. All of our possessions arrived in the same conditions we paced them in. We were not up-charged and there were no surprise fees or charges. If we ever need to use a hauling service again, we will definitely use U-Pack.
  Some things we liked about the trailer itself: You can request a ramp and dolly. Those items travel with your belongings. You only pay for the length of the truck that you use. There are bars that come down from the top that keep your stuff in place so that boxes, etc. aren't just flying around back there.

  I moved from TX to NJ I was real scared bc I read manny bad reviews about upack pods but I still gave it a chance and I must say I was surprised ,when it came to loading I left all the heavy boxes on the bottom the light non fragile boxes on top and every piece of heavy furniture was tied directly to walls so if the box shifted the furniture wouldn’t move at all even if the pod fell off the forklift also I only used most of my own blankets to wrap my furniture so once it was wrapped with blankets I would still do another wrap with cardboard boxes went back and made small squares of cardboard boxes to protect corners of my furniture then went with plastic wrap I really tried my best to protect my furniture so It got to Jersey I unloaded in Pinebrook and aslo staff was very nice made me feel super comfortable so I was scared to open the pod doors thinking my furniture was very damaged and surprise !!! I open it and only two non fragile boxes fell and everything was ok the only damage I had was one broken mirror other than that everything was great I must say it looks like the pod had some heavy shifts so I must say don’t use upack if you don’t feel like wrapping and securing your furniture bc manny say upack completely trashes everything but people don’t realize that wrapping amd tying up is very important they just throw in everything as it goes so if that’s the case yes please expect your things yo be trashed in my case only one mirror was trash but none of my furniture was damaged not even one scratch so yes I recommend upack and yes I would use upack again they really help me save a lot of money

  U-Pack made a seemingly impossible situation possible and painless. Each customer service rep was knowledgeable, professional and sensitive to the complexities of moving across country. When it turned out they didn't deliver to our new home, they set us up with Old Dominion, who then took over and handled the logistics of moving our property. But U-Pack was still there, every step of the way. There was a lag time between Friday (when we were supposed to receive our load) and Tuesday (when we actually did), but that was neither U-Pack or Dominion's fault. Please make certain your bank will approve large amount debits before you set off on the road. Our belongings arrived intact with only a broken light bulb and one of our outdoor squirrel's head broken off. That was it. Otherwise, it was a completely safe and secure move. I would eagerly advise anyone facing a move to book with U-Pack.

  Moving my Mom from Florida to Texas with Upack. We rented the entire 28ft trailer and it was completely full. The whole process was without any flaws. Upack was very helpful with all my questions and concerns. The price was unbelievable cheap. I highly recommend Upack. After losing my father I didn't need anything else to upset my family.   I compared all the standard moving companies. I chose UPack because they were a good value and provided ample flexibility up to and including how much of the truck you use while packing. Every person I interacted with was helpful and professional. The trailer arrived for pickup and delivery exactly as promised and the drivers placed the trailer exactly where I asked. 100% recommend and 100% would use again.

  Simplest move I've ever had. Trucks were dropped off on scheduled day and picked up on the day we called them. No hassle, driver's we had contact with were very professional and courteous. Nothing damaged as we had movers pack the trucks. Both trucks arrived on schedule if not early and communication was outstanding on the whole process. Will use them again, hopefully though this is our last move for awhile. It was extremely nice that I did not have to drive two moving trucks across the country, the stress of that during the winter is not something I needed to add to the move.

  Great logistics, communication and coordination. Only issue is the trailers are very dirty and greasy inside. Even with proper packing and wrapping your items will get stained.
