      A Disappointing Experience

      I am writing this review to caution potential customers about a recent experience that calls into question the fairness of Dillard's return policy. On December 17, 2023, I purchased a coat for $1005 as a special 60th birthday gift for my wife. At the time, I specifically inquired about their return policy and was assured that returns were accepted within 30 days of purchase.
      However, our trust in this policy was shattered when a significant defect was discovered. After the first use, my wife noticed that the side of the coat was curling inward, a clear indicator of a tailoring flaw. Confident in the integrity of Dillard's return policy, and armed with photographic evidence of the defect, we attempted to return the coat on January 8, 2024.
      To our disbelief and dismay, the assistant store manager, Mr. Phillip **********, flatly refused our return. His justification? The coat had been worn. This condition was neither mentioned at the time of purchase nor is it a practical expectation. How can one assess the quality and fit of a garment without wearing it?
      This denial of service and lack of transparency regarding return conditions are not only disappointing but also reflect poorly on Dillard's commitment to customer satisfaction. The refusal to honor their own policy has left us feeling misled and unfairly treated.
      I urge potential customers to be wary of this store's return policy. The experience we had raises serious concerns about Dillard's adherence to fair business practices and their respect for customer rights. A store that does not stand by its products or policies is not one that deserves your trust or business.

      You know what’s stupid? Buying something online and having it go on sale before your wife opens the box. So you call customer service and you’re told “we can’t do price adjustments”. You need to return and re-order or burn fuel at $4.00 a gallon, waste 3 hours of your life to go to a brick and mortar store, and return and repurchase.
      What a pain you guys make this!
      As I stated above I thought it was ridiculous that your customer service agent couldn’t adjust prices on items I just purchased. So I followed her directions and drove 30 mins to your store. Went to customer service. Met a ***** tonight at the Haywood mall store, who said she would process my return but I was not able to repurchase my items, at the discounted price. She said I’ll return them but you can’t repurchase these and take them with you. Imagine that. They didn’t have my wife’s sizes on the floor, and she said I would have to buy from what’s on the floor instead of just letting me repurchase what I brought in.
      Your service is horrible. It took me 47 years to spend money in your store. I’ll never spend a dollar in it again. That’s a promise.

      I ordered a $400 bottle of cologne that arrived open no plastic box wrapping clearly it had been opened. I called Dillards 1 hour after the item was delivered to complain. I was told the item left the warehouse wrapped. Lies. I always order from dillards spend a lot of money there. I also bought a bottle of Chanel chance for me. It was wrapped correctly, but because they denied my claim for another bottle of my husband’s open item. I will be returning mines. Dillards I’m disappointed in you. Your workers are thieves and I’m sure I’m not the first or last that you will let down.

      I went to the Dillard's in Clarksville Indiana. I had some shots and parts and went to checkout. After waiting for a cashier after several minutes I tried another, that another, than another. Absolutely no help at all. I ended up just leaving the clothes at the cashier stand and walked out. This has happened 3 times at Dillard's, even different locations. I ended up getting no gifts and got home late as I had to find similar gifts at other stores. If Dillard's doesn't care about me or sales why would I shop there? Answer, I WON'T. This isn't my furst terrible customer experience with Dillard's, but it will be the last. Plus my friends have also complained of this so I'll share this story with them and we'll all just boycott this over-priced, understaffed, and poor selection store that only is concerned about sales quotas, for good. Why shop at a place that your treated so low nobody will even attempt to help check you at.

      Bought a formal dress for a Holiday Gala. The night of the event I discovered the dye from the dress rubs off on everything. My hands, the tops of my feet, even a chair I sat in got dye stains. I had to leave the special event early because it was getting worse and I started to get a mark on my forehead where I had pushed my hair out of my face a few times with my dye-stained hand. The dye stained my hands so bad I had to use antibacterial wipes the next day to get it off because handwashing wasn’t working. I asked for a refund since the dress is defective and unwearable, plus it ruined a very expensive night out. Dillards and they said it was past their return policy time frame and they basically don’t care that the dress is leaving dye on everything. Their company doesn’t care they sell defective merchandise and they won’t do anything to help.

      I paid top dollar for shoes and I was unable to get assistance from Dillard's. Don't spend your money there, they will only recite there return policy repeatedly!!

      Dillards is a scam never order from them my order was a 600 dollar order for Christmas and I never got my order and they are saying that they are going to do nothing about it this is ridiculous they’re customer support is horrible they don’t know how to work with their customer and the customer service manger Cynthia is a trash manger who doesn’t know how to treat their customers I’ll never order from Dillards again I warn everyone not to order from this scam company

      Me and My Girlfriend attempted to Return Sunglasses that we purchased multiple times but they refused to accept the returns even though we had receipt. People at the store and also customer support online were adamant that they need yellow tags. We don't recall receiving any yellow tags along with the sunglasses so we were really surprised. This is totally unacceptable even though we have the receipt. I am will be filing a case with BBB about this.

      Made a return in the store September 7, 2023. It was their 3 day return policy. Walked in on day two. I paid cash …….. they REFUSED to give my cash back. Instead they put it on my debit card that I didn’t even use.
      Two days prior, I returned a single item and did pay with my debit. It’ showed on my debit card my purchase ….. then it showed up that it was returned but with a .72 difference in what I paid. The .72 was for them. This is sketchy to me. But I wasn’t going to fuss over that. But buyers beware on your returns.

      Unfair business practices. They're 3 day return policy is in reality only 48 hours. I bought a pair of shoes on clearance on a Saturday. My husband took them back on Tues which should have been day 3. They refused to refund my CASH money saying it was day 4 and issued a door credit only and even then it's less the taxes I paid. It takes 24 hours to make a day. From Sat Tues is day 3.
