I was told that sparklight was the best for my area. Since getting this service approx 5 months ago, I constantly have to unplug and replug the router and call customer service because my connection is interrupted or lost and down. It may be fine for retired people only needing service for games/shopping. I work full time remote and rely 100% on my internet. I must meet daily productivity, so this down time is causing work issues. I think the monthly price I pay for higher speed is expensive. I am to the poi t of trying a different company.Sparklight

I have been a "Sparklight" CableOne customer for about 17+ years. I have been waiting impatiently for another company to offer their speeds around my area, because when that day happens, the moment it happens, I am jumping ship! When Sparklight internet is working, it is wonderful. Super fast DL/UL speeds, minimum lag and ping. But, there are times, and unfortunately quite common, that the internet is extremely spotty to the point where even simple web pages will not load, and this happens periodically for several hours at a time! Then, when I call them, all of the sudden it is fixed for a week or two, then it happens again, then they send tech out here to tell me "everything seems okay," or " it was a bad ground." Gee, well, how many times in a year can this happen before I can start to become suspicious? I have at one point asked for a prorated bill because in the past it had effected my work. That was a terrible idea, and I learned the hard way they don't care about the consumer. Not only is that frustrating, but I'm loosing money, time, paying money for a service I'm not getting, getting treated poorly, and being gaslit. It's not just me. I have been on ********* and spoken with neighbors, friends, the community; it is always the same complaints. I really do, not even being sarcastic, pray for a day that some other company will offer reliable speeds of at least 200mb in my area. I'll even pay a premium on that speed for reliable internet and decent customer support. Heed my warning friends, beware of this company. Or don't and find out. Either way, I know what I will do ASAP, jump.Sparklight

Internet has been down for three days with no end in site, no help, absolutely nothing from customer service. When they tell you they will have a local office call you, they never do. They tell you they are working on it when I am standing in the affected area and there isnt a single person here.Sparklight

On 5/23/23 my hotspots service hit its *** and I was forced to make that dreaded call to sparklight. I pay for monthly so called service that is always interrupted and commonly out for days at a time. Ive been trying to get it fixed for years. The last 2 times that techs came to my home made no difference at all. Its the worst, most unreliable internet Ive ever had. Today I spoke to tech rep ********* She was condescending and superior and when I said we were constantly trying to restart it she decided to tell me she didnt see any attempts to restart it, basically called me a liar. She also refused to let me speak to a supervisor and said I was not entitled to have a technician sent to my house. She was rude, and stupid, and she provided exactly the kind of terrible service I have come to expect from this horrible, inept company. I cant wait until I have the time to sit at home for a day so I can switch to frontier. Im leaving sparklight the first opportunity I get all thanks to ***************** )Sparklight

Sparklight is c*** I'm so tired of buffering, turning off my modem - waiting- turning it back on. Calling to have my speed checked. Which by the way, went up in price by $40. Come to find out after a year....I found out my package was UNAUTHORIZED by me to be increased. I watch one TV, NO gaming whatsoever and I'm paying over $93 a month. Talk about bad business ethics. Then they can't deliver a product they advertise. It's all c*** Looking forward to some real internet.Sparklight

Business owners beware. If you buy a business plan, they will lock you into a contract. If you want to end your service early, you will pay the full cost of the monthly service for EVERY MONTH REMAINING ON YOUR CONTRACT. It's not just a fee. It could be literally thousands of dollars. And they really don't care what the reason is you're cancelling. Just make sure you know the terms of your contract. The internet service itself has been good for me, but finding out that it's going to cost $1600 to cancel the service . . . yeah, not so good.Sparklight

Internet access is a joke with this company and their 24/7 customer service line is laughable. There's nobody available to answer their phones. They just leave you on hold until you get tired of waiting and hang up.Sparklight

DO NOT USE! Sparklight claimed to give me a certain speed which I never once got close to in my home, they said theyd fix it and it never changed, now after Ive moved I asked if they could change my billing date so I can send them back the router without getting billed for another month of wifi (that I hadnt even been able to use for months) the customer service rep said she wont do that and that Id have to eat the cost even if the router gets shipped in 1 day after they bill me, horrible experience, I never write negative reviews but this really got on my nerves so Ill be leaving bad reviews on every website I can at this point so people know not to use them!Sparklight

I was paying for the fastest service for over a year and my service was constantly dropping out. After calling several times, I would be told to unplug the modem and **********. It turns out the modem I had was not the right one and was not equipped to handle the faster speed so after a year of paying for the higher speed I was not receiving, Sparklight only offered ********** the correct modem and never even offered to make it right to keep me as a client.
