This is the worst, most incompetent financial institution I have ever encountered. My wallet was stolen and I went to them to change everything and they screwed everything up so bad my social security check was lost, a check bounced and they told me to call SS and ask for a paper check. Needless to say, I had a melt down. They are a joke for sure. They would receive a 0 if it was an option.

What a great experience! My husband has been with them since he was 16, now I'm with them, and our business is with them. Theyre kind and friendly, honest, and do what they say they will do.

Desert financial bill pay takes over three weeks for the payment to be made and I ended up with late payments They use a third party that mails the checks They lie about electronic bill pay when the back office third party does all the work manually

Ive Been DFC Since February Of 2023 And Time And Time Again Its Something Up. They Charge You More Than What Has Been Decided Upon When First Coming With Them. When Paying My Nite This Time It Was Done On Time I Wake Up The Next Day My Car Is Shut Off. I Call To Talk To Them An They Say Its Because I Owe A $75 Remaning Balance Which Is Why My Car Was Shut Off. Yet When I Went To Pay It Online I Doesnt Give You The Choice If Paying Anything Lower Then What You Owe. So Now My Car Is Off. I Would Never Go Through Them Again Or Refer Anyone To Go Through Them

Deceptive advertising and data collection scam.*************************************************************************************************************************************************************** The promotion does not inform the member that they must be an *** student until after they have entered their personal information. Upon creating an account, the website declines the user submission. Wasted energy driving to the bank twice because the first time they did not have their system set up to fulfill the promotion even though its terms say to create an account online, by phone, or in person. They could have mentioned *** affiliation was required, but staff was not trained properly. If they are hiding the *** student requirement because of a vulnerability, then I suggest accidentally saying you are a student when creating the account.

I have been with DFC for 17 years and have had nothing but little problems here and there. I figured its just how it is. I looked into either a credit card or a small personal loan and was denied. I know it has to do with credit score and all but for me it is not bad and yet they still are not willing to help me out. The customer service is horrendous. When you find a location its never convenient. I will be choosing another bank very soon.

Ive been banking with DFC for a little over a yr. And this credit union is not for people who live pay check to pay check they charge fees for everything and if there is no money in your acct and a payment is charged they immediately apply fees with no time frame. If you call and tell them you have been financially impacted they will dismiss it reps have no empathy. So dont waste your time opening Checking accounts IF you dont have the money to give away.

I borrowed on my **** card for household expenses and prior months I paid it back but this month in April my rent went up so I talked with manager about making extra loan payments to pay off the ****. I was told we don't do that and sent my bill to a credit company immediately. I had eight years with Desert Schools Credit Union in ******* **. They made loan payments to help their clients. But not up here in *************** **. Even with two years with this one, what a same. beware other people about joining this credit union.

When we first arrived in *******, we came across this institution because it was close to our new home. In addition to establishing checking/savings account; we also moved our *** account over. A year later, we came to the conclusion that this credit union doesn't look out for their members. Everything is fees based and with every service, you will be charged a fee. When you are on a fixed income, fees based banking is not going to work in your favor. We were charged $140.00 in NSF fee even tho our savings account carries a balance. When asked, we were told, they do not automatically transfer funds over like other banks we were used to but they did offer an overdraft protection that would absolutely do that for us BUT it would be a $5.00 fee per day associated with that. So basically, you are paying them a fee for transfer funds from your savings to checking account so essentially, they are NOT the "friendliest" bank in the Desert. If there was a NEGATIVE star, I'd have given them that. Needless to say, we will be moving all of funds out of this bank. Don't come here if you don't mind the fees and the wait time.

I will never recommend this institution for anyone's personal or business finances. Their interdepartmental communication is extremely lacking. My husband lost both of his parents within 9 months of each other. We provided death certificates, *****, and our contact names and numbers. We'r told them or intent was to sell ther home and paid the debt. The continuous badgering via phone and mail has been beyond comprehension. They never passed the information on to the mortgage or heloc departments, but they had no problem using our information to harass us. It is hard enough to lose parents, let alone both of them within 9 months of each other. The actions of this financial institution have not only been inconsiderate and lacked compassion, they were insulting, especially when all info was provided without being asked and intention has been to pay them in full the entire time.
