      I bought my family tickets for six flags. Im active military. As we got closer to the event mission required that I be present as our other lead officer had to take an assignment elsewhere, thus canceling my leave (time off). FanShield told me I had to submit the formal military form that revoked my leave. This form DOES NOT EXIST! In 15 years of service Ive never seen or heard of this form. Absolute scam. Never use them.

      Review format wouldnt allow zero stars. This company is quite possibly the biggest scam I have ever been involved with. I was to be in town on business and wanted some family time with my daughter and her 4 children. She booked a adjoining rooms (which I paid for at the *********** in ******************, unaware of this being a third party booking. The cancellation insurance was purchased through this third party with the verbal promise that it covered any cancellation reason. Sure enough, the morning of our reservation, 2 of the 4 grandkids woke up with flu-like symptoms, fever, vomiting, diarrhea etc. My daughter cancelled our reservation due to the sick kids, not knowing whether the other 2 were going to get sick as well. Protecht is denying our reimbursement claim because the kids did not see a physician. Ever try to get a same day appointment for 2 sick kids? Not only am I out the cost of the double rooms, Im also out the money it cost for the Protecht insurance policy that wasnt worth the cost of the bandwidth it took to receive. After reading the Protecht bot generated replies on this forum, Im quite confident that the denial of claims is modes operandi. Absolutely steer clear of this company.

      ************ is essentially stealing people's money! I paid for a trip for my daughter and I to attend *************************, on May 25, 2024. After purchasing my tickets, my family and I learned that my father has cancer, stage 4, at that!! We didn't know what was going on, initially, only tests were being run. At that point, I noticed FanShield/Protecht, sent his discharge paperwork, along with my proof of purchase, which was required of me, and they still denied my refund request! I can reschedule, and pay for a trip to an amusement park, at any time, but what I can't do is get another father! I am his only child, and I am the one who will now have to take on the responsibility of transporting him to his chemotherapy appointments, picking up medications, etc. ************ doesn't ensure that your purchase is protected, they only ensure their bottom line, to make excuses to keep your money! What's the point of paying for protection, if you find in the end, there is none, at least not for you!!

      I booked a hotel room as the cab was driving me there. I did not intend to, and did not, purchase any protection. Why would I? As soon as I got the notice of the charges, I immediately tried to cancel but was told that it was too late. No joke! I was already checked in. This is a scam, and I intend to report it to the California Secretary of State.

      Do not try to save money by using discount 3rd party bookings. Do not use Protecht Inc. Make sure you are talking to a representative of the hotel you are trying to book. Their Confirmation numbers are not recognized by named hotel/motels, they do not guarantee everything that comes up and you jump thru hoops trying to get your money back if stuff happens. That was the worst booking I have ever had and made it by mistake because they use other hotel/motels advertisement on web sites to look like name brands. Protecht Inc. knows nothing about customer service and how to get repeat business. Good service ,word of mouth customer service and listen to customers . You do not get awarded points if you are a member of a chain and use a 3rd party booking. They use deceitful advertising on Web pages to make u think you are talking to a hotel/motel.

      THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM! Purchased tickets to baseball spring training with this so called insurance protection. My husband has CANCER and I purchased this protection as we never know how he will feel on any given *************** stated cancel for any reason! We could not attend, I filed and of course like everyone else claim was denied. They want medical records, signed physician statement etc. Critical illness makes it impossible to know when and if you can attend an event, travel etc. They refuse to honor claim without personal medical records or a physician statement or a mountain of evidence on why you could not attend the event. Great business model, collect premiums and never pay out!

      Recently, I booked a room at the Courtyard Marriott in ************ ** but, due to unforeseen circumstances, was not able to complete this stay and had to cancel. In the past, for this hotel stay and others, there have been NO issues with cancelations and FULL refunds.Unbeknownst to me, there was a 3rd Party room insurance offered through the above-referenced company, Protecht. Allegedly, my cause for cancelation was not accepted which was, amongst other things, a family scheduling conflict and an unforeseen visit from another family member. This weekend, May 10th-13th, also includes Sunday, May 12th which is Mother's Day. This is related and relevant! Protecht has charged an additional fee of $76.76 and, quite possibly, the cost of one night's stay which amounts to about $300. My wife and I find this to be un warranted and a classic case of caveat emptor. We are NOT naive but, quite honesty, unaware of this, we feel, entrapment and simply want a FULL refund. We have, by the way, already received the $903.06 for the 3-night hotel stay BUT we are fearful that the remaining charges will be applied.

      I had purchased tickets to ************* in ***********, ** for my friends birthday to celebrate. However, she got sick and so we had to postpone the event. Fanshield asked for a doctors note proving that my friend was indeed sick as I had stated. I provided the doctors note via email, and within less than 90 minutes I had my money back via Venmo. It was quick and easy. Thanks so much!!!

      ****** Q Booked a room at Isle Casino for May 12th to the 14th and purchased the warranty if I needed to cancel. Had to fill out a questioner, did that and my clam was denied saying I had to show prof of my wife's medical condition I don't think that is legal there is a hipaa law for that. Don't purchase from this company its a joke.

      On March 17, I made a reservation by phone to stay at the Residence Inn in ************* (*****) March 30 to April 2, and was offered what I thought was CANCELLATION PROTECTION. I signed up for the protection. The person I talked with was in a Marriott reservation office -- not the ****** That same day (March 17) I received a confirmation text from Residence Inn AND an confirmation email from Protecht regarding the "REFUND PROTECTION." The latter included other details: purchase date, order number, check-in date, hotel price, and the protection fee of $74.67.At least two days before the check-in date, I called the ***** directly (at a different number) to cancel. This time I talked with a man who works in the ****** He processed the cancellation immediately and said it was no problem as they honor cancellations more than 24-hours before check-in WITHOUT PENALTY. SO WHY ARE THEY SELLING PROTECTION WITH PROTEGHT? As of this date (yesterday would have been my check-in date), I see no charges on my credit card for either the hotel or Protecht. I won't rest easy until I am past April 2, my check-out date, because this entire thing has been very confusing and feels like a scam.
