    02/24/2023 - received mail (see attachment). I have never purchased home warranty insurance. In fact, if the previous owner (seller) purchased it. They owe me a refrigerator, air conditioner, kitchen sink plumbing ruptured and had to pay out of pocket for all the repairs.

    I somehow got signed up with there warranty but never spoke to the first person from there and had no clue I was paying for it called and they told me I would be receiving a refund in October now its February they still dont know when Ill be receiving my refund after I was originally told itd take about 3 weeks

    I received what look like a check in the mail for $199 from the County Deed Records. The attached paper said it needed my immediate response and that my home warranty may expire soon. It has a record ID number and also says that it is the last attempt to contact me. The form looks very official but when I called the number I realized it is a home warranty company trying to sell me home warranty. They are NOT from the county and their mailer is VERY misleading.

    Home Warranty Direct sent me a misleading solicitation labeled "County Deed Records" labeled "Final Notice." They are sending several documents that implies I'm financially liable. There's also a fake check enclosed with amnendorsement spot on the back.

    Shortly after buying my home I received a letter from this company with a pink paper in it stating it was my final notice to get my home insurance. When I spoke with the rep they told me the insurance covers all appliances in the entire home and even stressed that big items like the heating system were important to cover. They also said that when something was needed to be fixed I would only be responsible for the first $75. A few months later I got another pink letter saying the same thing and it was identical to the first except now apparently they changed their name to Home Warrenty Resolutions other than that identical including phone #. They had me buy another policy and now were charging me twice a month. I called and had them cancel one of them. When I called about my heating system they said I could have a tech come out to my home because they couldnt get anyone here for awhile. I paid that company 200 for their tech to give system a look to see whats wrong. The cheapest estimate was over 5k and he said that was just a bandaid fix but he recommended replacing the entire system. We sent the estimates in and a few weeks later a check for 600 came. After many phone calls they told me thats all I was entitled to because of the age of the unit. They said it was in the policy which they never had sent me and I had only gotten a copy of last week. By this time my policy was paid in full 3k. They knew at the time of sale how old my home was and never said anything about time limits on equipment if they had I wouldnt have purchased their insurance. There is a lot more to this but I am running out of characters to use. After doing a bit of research it looks like they have been scamming people for quite awhile as there are many negative posts on your site alone. How is it they are allowed to continue to operate a business like that and cheat people out of their money. I just want them to live up to what I was told when they got me to buy this insurance and to fix or replace my unit.

    I received a pink letter in the mail when my husband and I bought our first house. It said "final notice and your home warranty is expired or may be expiring soon!" So as a new home buyer I was scared and called them. When I called I disclosed those 2 things that were wrong and she told me no problem let's get you covered then call back and we'll get those things fixed for you. So I did. It's 187 and some change a month....that's a lot! I was told to expect a blue envelope in the mail and an email with my information. I never received these things. So then when my coverage was active I called back trying to make a claim. I was told it wasn't covered because it was broken before I was covered. I was so mad I asked to cancel my policy. I was told I was important and not to do that because then I'll be uninsured blah blah blah. So I didn't because I had a 10 month old who needed a nap. Finally I get around to calling again to cancel and I'm told I do deserve my full money back because I was lied to and that's not what the company is about. So I asked to cancel and the said but we're a really good company and look us up and I said that's fine but you haven't been good to me. And I asked to have my transcripts from my first called when I was lied to and they said I had to have a lawyer request that. Which was a huge red flag. I was so mad but again I had to go. I was told to call back and I'll get my money back! So, again today I call and get the nice treatment till they realize I'm canceling. I'm told I'm not entitled to my full money back because the packet I received in the mail showed that after 30 days I get a prorated amount. I told them I never received it and they said it was received at the distribution hub. I said I didn't get it and she disagreed. Then I'm told I'll get an estimated amount back and I said that's unacceptable. She stopped replying to me. I asked to speak to a manager and she said no. Then she told me my policy had been canceled and hung up.

    Date: 10/17/2022 Unsolicited mail and rude customer service -I received spam mail from this company, listing incorrect personal information on the exterior of the envelope. When I called customer service to ask where they pulled this information from, the representative was extremely rude. When I mentioned that I have opted out of pre-screened offers and intended to file a complaint their representative hung up on me.

    10.17.2022 received a tri-tear piece of mail stating I/we needed to sign the enclosed Home Warranty check for $199.00 . The DISTURBING ISSUE is A PICTURE OF MY HOME IS ON THE ***** OF THE MAILING!!!!!We did not sign ANY disclosure allowing this company to use this image for their "marketing" materials.This is not internet, this is PRINTED MATERIALS, delivered by the ************* *************** I've called twice, was disconnected the first time and was told I would get a call back, but they never took my contact information. They COULD NOT PROVIDE ANY DOCUMENT, OR ANSWER my request for a signed document.BIG ISSUE HERE.

    False and deceptive advertising which appears to threaten an expiration on a home warranty without further action. Despicable behavior amounting to fraud.
