Greetings, I have been trying to cancel waste service and have them pick up their carts. Want to end service March 31st. We are all paid up. I can not cancel on the web and I have been on hold on the phone for approximately 1.5 hours. I have tried different phone numbers too. The account was closed on 3/26 with a close date of 3/31. The removal of the cans were on next service day of 4/3. The invoice for the customer went out on 3/20 for 4/1 to 6/30. The customer is up to date on payments and the remaining balance will correct itself out when the next invoice is distributed. Customer is all set and everything in the desired settlement aspect of this complaint has been addressed and taken care of.

On the morning of February 20th 2025 a Republic trash compactor truck #**** drove.3 of a mile up my private driveway unauthorized passing several signs posted no outlet , private driveway . .The truck had the metal lift arm on its right side down. When it came to a narrow point in the road the claw on the right side of the truck struck my stone block retaining wall. The truck continued forward ripping down approximately 35 feet of the wall and breaking off part of the steel lifting claw. The driver drove up the roadway, got turned around then stopped short of the damage for 11 minutes. Before driving off without any notification. There is ample video from multiple angles of this incident plus two eye witnesses. It took the ****************** to get a response from Republic Services in ********** ****. The estimate to repair the damage exceeds $28,000.00 Republic Services insurance company is refusing to fix the damage. So is it ok for a lost driver to come up your driveway and bulldoze/ destroy your property and now I have to eat $28,000.00 in repair costs?? The insurance adjuster was here and took photos and measurements. He has not spoken with the FedEx driver/ witness.
I have forwarded numerous emails with video evidence to **** ****** who is supposedly a supervisor at Republic who came here the day after the incident. He took his own photos. I forwarded *********************************************************************************** addition I have sent 20 emails with descriptions of the incident along with video footage from different angles to ******** ******* at ***** insurance. Then **** *******, ******** Aguilars supervisor from ***** , insurance contacted me and requested all the same information/ videos that I had already provided to the three previous people. I have spoken with CCMSI multiple times over the past 7 weeks and I get nowhere. They keep moving the goal post. Asking for more information ( most of which they already have) or they have to talk with someone else at Republic or CCMSI and get back with me. They tell you they will call you right back and dont. Then its days or weeks until you get someone to answer the phone.
It would lead a reasonable person to believe that they are being truly disingenuous about trying to resolve this issue. In short they are jerking me around.Business Response

On Feb 5, I mailed a check to Republic Services for my bill due on Feb 10 for trash pickup services for February, March, and April. My last trash pickup was Feb 11. On February 21 my check was posted on my bank account. My ********************** collection was skipped again on Feb 25, so I called & informed them I hadn't received pickup for 2 weeks. They apologized, said it must be a mistake, and scheduled a pickup for that Thursday, Feb 27. On Feb 27 they took my trash bin. When I got home & discovered it was gone, I called & they informed me that my account was closed. I told them I did not close the account. At this point they told me it must have been an accident, & reinstated my service with a trash bin scheduled to be delivered by Mar 3. On March 7 I called for the 3rd time after no contact & still no bin. I was informed that they no longer serviced my area. This is interesting because my next door neighbor has a Republic Services account also. The representative could not help me, so I asked for a call from a supervisor. March 14 I've still had no contact, no resolution so I call for the 4th time. I'm told by a supervisor that they do still offer service in my ********** will contact me back. On March 19 I've still had no contact so I email the supervisor talked to. It is now March 25 & I've yet to receive a call, email, or any type of contact at all from anyone with Republic Services. I am no longer interested in doing business with this company, but they do owe me for 3 months of service that I paid for.Business Response

We had made some calls to the customer to explain why we were canceling service in the area. We do run trash near the account, but it is a different style of truck. I need an email for Republic Services.The website is not working for me to message and phone contact is less than ************ city has discontinued the contract with Republic Services. Problem is my trash is not being picked up on my trash days! Was suppose to be picked up on Friday march 21, 25. Sent message it would be picked up 4 hours late. Later that day text stated it would be picked up Monday march 24. My trash is still out and has not been picked up. Still charging full price for half services. Problem is not picking up trash! Suppose to come Friday March *******. Received a text message stating they would be 4 hours late for pick up. Later that day said there was a sub driver and it would be picked up Monday March *****. It is the end of the day and my trash is still here. The animals and wind are destroying trash. We canceled our service in August of 2024. They owed us a refund of our balance. I have been calling monthly since September and every time they tell me it will be 3 weeks. During one call they changed our address and later said they sent the refund there. We never moved and I never gave them that address. This is what I have been told since September of 2024. I NEVER get a check, I was told it would be 2 - 3 weeks in Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan and Feb. Why should I believe it now? I will not be satisfied until the check has actually been received.

I had called and left you a voicemail. I don't see any misses called in. However i do see that you submitted misses for 2/27, 2/28 & 3/21 of this year. The one you called in for 3/21 put it on schedule for 3/24 to be picked up by 7pm. We either offer to send a driver back on a miss or do a credit, not both. Please make sure to call in any misses to our customer service line at ************. At that time you can request a truck come back or that they do a credit. Also, please make sure that your trash and recycle is out from 7am until 7pm to assure service. Please let us know if you have any questions.

In October 2024 , republic services empty our restaurant dumpsters and while emptying them the dumpster hit our walkin cooler causing damage to it , we followed up with a call in making them aware of the accident no one ever got back with us, after several weeks and phone calls they gave us a claim number one of 3 ! No one could figure out how to handle it, months later and more phone calls there insurance company reached out to us we had a estimate a sent it in a email I guess they are refusing to fix the problem they created, all trash trucks have cameras at the beginning I suggested check the cameras they apparently did not and dropped the ball, we had some pictures I forwarded to their email . We are asking for our cooler to be fixed at their company cost, we have to deal with this sence October ******* we have lost product at times, very difficult for deliveries but we have been doing the best we can with the problem, any questions i can be reached at ************Business Response

in response to the company going over video footage of the incident we had with our walkin cooler no one has provided any pictures or videos of that to us because they dont exist Ive asked for them to look at the cameras and I sure no one did because at the beginning day of we contacted them when I did our investigation they didnt even have the date right and 3 claim numbers will verify that I think they know they dropped the ball on this and a few are covering it up and I a sure you I will get to the bottom of this I would like to keep this complaint going until they can provide video and pictures of the trash left behind on top of our walkin and the dumpster hitting the corner of my cooler !

Sent from my iPhone after being confident that they could provide pictures and videos of the incident that happened at the beginning of October when the driver employed by republic services was unloading a dumpster and bumped a walkin cooler causing damage to the unit they were unable to do so, there is a paper trail starting at the the time the damage was done, management denies that the accident happened but it did and had this been handled properly in the beginning pictures and videos that are on the truck would have proved that, a call from one of the managers invited me to review the videos with him because they have nothing to hide well that didnt happen because they didnt have any ! The fact is the dumpster did bump our cooler causing damage the door that was in perfect working condition and cooler box was in perfect condition now it has leaks and the door is almost impossible to open and close. We have watched there drivers pull up and if they dont get the lift arms completely in the dumpster and get a grip the very heavy dumpster will slide and fall off or become uncontrollable which we have witnessed several times and thats what we think happened that day, we are not happy with the company and how this has been handled.
