      I have requested a new trash container due to mine being busted up. It allows critters access to the trash contained inside allowing them to create a mess, it could also be a danger to the animals themselves.This request was made in February, they (Republic Services) instructed me to just leave the container out after trash has been picked up on Tuesday. Ive done that and still nothing.Ive contacted them on numerous occasions to check the status of my replacement. Ive heard replies like weve been out of containers but we just received a shipment in, youre on schedule for one youre on the schedule to get one tomorrow etc. The staff members Ive spoken to have been apologetic and curtious but still no replacement.All Im asking for is a new trash container due to mine being busted up. I am annoyed with phone calls stating were on it and yet nothing is happening.Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide in this matter.

      This is Republic Services, **** formal response to the complaint filed by Mr. ***** ****** regarding the delayed exchange of the damaged garbage cart.
      We acknowledge the frustration with the time that it took to fulfill their request for a new cart. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.
      The primary reason for the delay was an unforeseen and significant shortage of new garbage cart inventory. This coupled with the heavy increase in requests for exchanged carts due to cold weather causing carts to become brittle and damaged has caused us a backlog of requests. This shortage affected our ability to promptly respond to exchange requests, including that of Mr. ******* We understand that this is not an acceptable excuse for a prolonged wait, and we are actively taking steps to improve our inventory management and streamline our replacement processes to prevent similar issues in the future.
      We understand that Mr. ****** requested an exchange of his damaged cart which took longer than our standard time to exchange. Due to the inventory shortage mentioned above, there was a delay in fulfilling the request. However,we are pleased to confirm that an exchange of Mr. ******* cart has been completed as of March 25, 2025.
      We recognize the timeframe for replacement was longer than our standard service level and we regret the inconvenience this caused. We value our customers and strive to provide timely and efficient service.

      We believe that the issue has been resolved with the exchange of the new cart. We are committed to providing reliable waste management services to our community and are taking steps to prevent similar delays in the future.
      We appreciate the Better Business Bureaus assistance in resolving this matter and hope that this rebuttal adequately addresses the customers concerns. We are available to provide any further information or clarification that may be required.

      I have asked this company to send me a refund thats due on my account balance of $200. Instead they keep sending me invoices and telling me I must have missed it. I didnt- I keep getting an invoice instead of a check.

      Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention. I show the original refund request was processed in October 2024 and confirmed as mailed. When it was stated that this was not received and confirmed as not cashed, the team promptly voided the original check and reissued another refund on 03/14/2025, to be mailed out Friday, 03/21/2025. I confirmed the "remit-to" address matches the address provided with the complaint. We do advise customers that receiving a check refund can take up to 6-8 weeks to receive in the mail.

      Republic services, a company we have never done business with did an ach withdrawal from our account for $291.89 and are refusing to return it simply stating that we arent a customer, which is evident as we are calling because they took money from us.

      I have AR Resolution looking into this. I checked our payment reports and there is no matching payment result that aligns with both the dollar amount and name of the payment.

      We just called the customer and left a voicemail as we will need proof of payment with a bank statement or otherwise so we can narrow our search with a date the payment was taken.

      The simple solution here is that if the customer believes ********************, **** took funds from their bank fraudulently, then the customer should work with their bank or financial institution to return those funds under a fraud claim.

      We get this type of BBB complaint a few times a year, this is #4 Ive seen over the last 30 days and all 4 complaint wasnt Republic Services, **** that took the funds but instead a similar organization Republic Tax Services which is a tax preparer that services many states.

      Either way Ill circle back once weve reached resolution with the customer

      On 03.14.25 Republic Services was due to pick up my weekly trash, as well as a pre-scheduled "bulk" pick-up. 10am it was all still down by the road, so I call the office and I'm told "the driver states he's serviced your area already, I'll have him turn around." 11:30 still no pick up, I call again and I'm told "the driver states he's currently on your street for service." 3pm still nothing. 4:30pm I receive a call from Republic Services saying "I'm sorry, I didn't receive your messages until the drivers were all finished. Your route had a relief driver and he was just confused. We can pick it up next Friday." Considering the fact that I started paying $45 a month to Republic Services and NOW pay $72 including the "environmental recovery fee" I feel that a driver should be sent to pick it up before then. They instructed to have everything by the road by 7am and it was. 2 separate drivers were to come and pick up, nobody showed. They've been a great service, despite the ***** in pricing, up until now. The problem should have been resolved yesterday and they need to come pick it up before next Friday.

      Republic Services owes me $148.35 yet they say I owe them $132.08. I have been calling them and doing their online chat for over a month but the problem has not been taken care of. In fact, they have even threatened to turn me over to collections. I spoke to **** in their accounts department and she admitted I do not owe them any money, I have a credit of $148.35 but now she will not return my phone calls. This problem happened with my Arizona account. My address was ******************************I have since moved to ******************* Republic Services has a monopoly on trash pickup. I am at my wits end and don't know how to move forward with this problem.Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.**** ****

      The account for Yuma has a $0.00 balance.  An error occurred when setting account in ********* which caused a balance to appear for the Yuma account that was closed.  Per communication with **** and the customer, it was explained the overpayment by the customer for the Yuma account, as a result of our error, was moved to the account in **********   We confirmed the customers ********* account has a current credit balance of $145.35.

      Trash man has not came to pick my trash up. It's 70 degrees today and no reason that it was not picked up! This is a on going problem all the time! No reason they have no picked it up!

      Republic bills for annual service and raised the rates that were too high to pay ($553.00). Once I realized the bill was due I called to change the rate. 1/31/25. They lowered it to $454.00 however the rate never changed in my bills or the amount online. I spoke to my neighbor who got a rate of $315 for the summer. When I called they said they didn't have a rate like that to give me. However, my neighbor received that rate. When I told them to cancel the service they added 2 late fees ***** Disputes 1. It's illegal to not give the same rate (especially to neighbors)2. I have been a loyal customer and never late. I want the servce fees *********** perm address is *************************************** My cabin address (doesn't have a mail box) 7287 chicken in the ***************, three lakes wi ***** is where the service was at.

      Looked into account. We did do a price increase at the beginning of 2025. Customer did cancel at that point. I looked today and the acount is at a zero balance as we issued credits for the late fees today. In regards to the pricing question, we offer different size containers and different pickup frequencies. Looking at the neighbor, they are routed every other week and this account was weekly, so that would explain the price difference.

      I was told that because I was on yearly billing I would have to wait until the end of the billing cycle, 12/31/25 for a check to be cut and get refunded.

      The credit of the late fees was processed on 4/8/25. They said they would contact me on 4/9/25 to let me know if they could cut the check.

      I have not received the check in the mail to refund the late fees. I want this open unitl it is received.

      They told me I wouldn't get it unil the end of the billing contract. When asked when that was, they said the end of the year because it's an annual contract. However, because I terminated the contract that should no longer apply.  They make it difficult to deal with them.

      Republic is the only trash removal company in the area. It is disappointing their serivce is the only service and they charge over $1,000 to remove garbage. Additionally, they have nothing to accomodate a seasonal cabin.  

      This is a monopoly.

      A simple definition of a monopoly is exclusive control of a market, product, or service, where one entity dominates the market and faces no significant competition.

      I honestly dont get why ******************************* is reporting this debt under my name because I dont owe them anything. I never signed anything with them, and when I asked for a copy of the original application, they didnt even bother to provide it. Its frustrating because this is hurting my credit for no reason, and its just not fair. How can they just put something on my report without any proof?Account No: ********** Amount Disputed: $2522

      I have a bank card from Ashley ********** and they closed my account for no reason. Now, they are charging more money than I spend, and the payments are over the top in this economy. I am trying to pay my account, and they keep charging late fees on an account that is closed. I tried to send the payments, and they waited until they all hit my account simultaneously. These are illegal practices. I don't own all that money, and they keep charging me and stating my account is late when I'm trying to pay it on time, and then they stop the payments from the insurance. I need them to delete the overcharges and also to update my account. I need my payment to be ******, my account to be updated, and all the illegal fees removed.

      I have reviewed the complaint and this is not one of our customer and the complaint is directed toward ****** Furniture and a credit card that they had closed on this customer. I have made every attempt to contact Mrs. ***** ***** just in case but the phone number is disconnected and the address is a residential home not a business. We have one account with ****** Furniture and there are no issues, and they did not call the BBB, so we are closing the complaint out on our end.

      The trash truck picks up my trash can from the end of my driveway, and places it in the middle of my driveway blocking it, so that when either I or my wife gets home, we have to get out of our car which is now in the street, to move the trash can. I've had to do this several times, including at night, and in the pouring rain and lightning. This is not only an inconvenience, it is extremely unsafe, and absolutely unnecessary.I have contacted Republic services no less than 4 times about those issue, and each time I am assured it will be resolved. And every time I ask to speak to someone above the entry level person who answers the phone, they refuse to let me. They also refuse to give me a way to contact anyone who might actually be able to resolve my problem. The last time they told me "it's taken care of, and per your request, we will have someone contact you in the next couple of days" , and I never received a response.
