      Aggressive driver yelled at my elderly father-in-law standing nearby after my child unknowingly placed a container outside the can. The ironic thing is that he left a little tag on the can that said, "friendly reminder" and circled it. This isn't the first encounter with an unfriendly staff from this company. I also had problems with them driving by at excessive speeds past my house, not even a customer at the time at another address. A phone call only yielded a temporary improvement then it was back to warp speed, never mind the pets and children in the nearby yard at play. Next time I noticed this I stood in the road so I could talk to the driver. I asked him to slow down indicating my family and their safety.

      We have been using Republic Services for many years. When I saw the price increases over the last few years, I chalked it up to effects from the pandemic and figured it was industry wide. My last two bills have been for over $600.00 for three months. I recently found out that 3 other companies cover my area. At least two of them charge $30.00 per month. This is nothing but price gouging by Republic! Then I found out my next door neighbor was paying $47.00 per month. I was left on terminal hold when I called to cancel service. I suspect this is part of their customer retention methods. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY that has unethical and probably illegal business practices!

      June 2025 Republic Services has failed to replace our broken trash bin four times in a row now. Our bin is cracked down the back and through the handle from the slamming and squeezing of the mechanical arm on the garbage trucks. I requested a replacement on June 5th, and customer service said it was set for our next service date, the 12th. They did not come on the 12th. I called on Friday 6/13 and they said it had been pushed forward a week, but neglected to communicate that to me. It did not happen on the 19th either. I called again the next morning and the customer service representative said their failure to come two weeks in a row would escalate my request and that we would get the new one that day. They failed to follow through on that promise as well. When I called again they said our area is "at capacity" so my reqeust keeps getting bumpled to the next service day. It is now June 26th and they have not replaced our bin. My request has been ignored four times. I have contacted the City of ******, the entity that has contracted Republic Services for trash/recycling service in our area. I have not heard from a manager or other person from Republic about their repeated failures to both communicate and provide this simple service to residents.

      Republic services is the WORST sanitation company I have ever dealt with. They barely come on the days theyre supposed to come and when they do, they wont even pick up any trash if its outside of the trashcan. I had one bag laying on the side of the trashcan and they just left it. I feel like they are a terrible company because they know that you arent gonna have another trash company come pick up your trash. Im about to cancel and just figure out a different way of what to do with my trash because I cannot stand having to deal with this terrible company, republic services.

      Literally the WORST customer service ever. I canceled my service before June and I have had to call 12 times for them to come get their trash cans. They still have not. It is almost a month later. Not to mention they change their dates of pickups several times and my house was missed all the time. If you are considering them RUN. GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE.

      I have been a customer for many years and they must have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I live in a rural area north of ********** with a 3 yd container. They miss pickups on a regular basis and many times don't make up the pickup. They credit a small pittance for their miss. At the time it's like $18. If I request additional pickup, it's over $200. At this point in time they are claiming that I have missed payment on several months of service. I can show from my online account that this is not true. I had to turn off the automatic payments because they overcharge me for things that I still don't know what it is. I have asked for account documents and they don't respond. I have tried calling and waiting on hold with no response. They never answer. I also tried the chat function and had some response - none - ever. After lots of complaints on my side, they conveniently missed my pickup again. They get all the neighbors containers. I have it on my security videos. There's something wrong with these people. I have screenshots of my accounts and video backkups for all of my claims. Something weird is going on.

      I have been a Republic Services customer since 2017. I cancelled my service the end of May. When I did I asked how the payment that was made online would be refunded. I was told that it would be refunded to the form of payment used. I received notice of a credit of $30.44. I had paid $79.28 for the quarter, June-Aug. I called and was told that there is a trash can removal fee, $48.40 applied towards my account. I stated that when I called to cancel I was not told about this fee. If I had, there would be quite a lot of discussions about this exorbitant fee. In the end, they reduced the fee in half.I want all customers to be aware of this ********************** can removal fee for $48.40.

      I set up an account with ******************** on May 24th to get a new service started on our new home for June 3rd (the soonest availability they had) on that same day I paid the required $50 deposit. By the time June 3rd came around we still had not received our can & by that point the $50 deposit had fully come out of my account. As the week went on, my boyfriend and I made multiple attempts to get ahold of them in which we were never able to get past being on hold. A whole week later we were both able to contact them, I explained the situation to the first representative who was not helpful at all & I ended up being put on hold for about 10 minutes without warning, after being taken off of hold the representative informed me that management was reviewing my case and that they would be contacting me - which they never ended up doing. When my boyfriend spoke to them they informed him that I should have received a confirmation email that would prevent us from having to pay again, I went through my entire email & refreshed it multiple times & still had not located any sort of confirmation email. My boyfriend stated that the representative he spoke to was rude & not helpful. Republic Services has made absolutely no effort in returning my deposit that I paid just to never receive our scheduled service. Overall we were not pleased with the communication, not receiving our service, and the customer service wasnt so great either. Definitely would not recommend anyone to use this company.

      If I could leave zero stars, I would. Republic Services has failed to pick up my trash and recycling for 5 weeks now. They still charged my card after cancelling service and removing my saved card info. I have to have a dispute of payment with the card company. They tried to tell me that they can't cancel until the end of the month - I insisted on having it cancelled that day. Their bins are still in my driveway as they have yet to pick them up. Thankfully my new trash company removed the month old rotting garbage already. This company is not transparent about their services and charges people for services that are never provided. They should face fines for fraud and for creating unsanitary conditions in my town and the surrounding towns. All around, a horrible experience.

      If I could give no stars, I would. I loath this company with a passion! The miss our entire neighborhood's trash twice a month and still expect us to pay full price. I want to tell them where to shove it, but they are a monopoly ( which are illegal by the way). I will start my own trash removal company for my neighbors. S**** this company. There has to be something we can do. I can't believe they have contracts not being bbb accredited. This has to be illegal.
