      Awful experience during the three years weve been stuck with Republic Services. Im not exaggerating in saying we have missed pickups at least once a month, with no explanation. Recycling seems to be the worst, as they miss that almost every other time, meaning we have to go a month between pickups, with recycling piling up in **********. There was a stretch in early 2022 where we had no pickups of any kind for about 6 weeks. During that time, they had the nerve to continue monthly billing without any kind of credits issued. This is the worst service of any company Ive ever dealt with in any capacity. Its a shame were stuck with them because our town is contracted with them for services. Thats probably why theyre still in business because if they had to deal with consumer choice, no sane person would choose them.

      Unreliable services!!! I will start by saying we used Republic Services in the past with no issues. Now that we've moved to a new city, it's been issue after issue, maybe it's the local management. In the four months we used Republic Services we've had missed services constantly. Almost every single week we would be texted saying that pickup would be delayed, most of the time several days in a row. The worst experience was when our trash pick up missed almost 3 weeks in a row and our recycle not picked up on two occasions.We decided we'd had enough and cancelled our service in September 2022 The original pick up day for our trash and recycle cans was scheduled for Oct. 13th. They promised a refund via check in the mail for the missed services within 6-8 weeks due to the missed services. I wasn't too happy that it would take 2 weeks for them to pick them up but agreed. I was just ready to be done with this company. Oct 13th came and went the cans were still sitting at the end of our road. The cans have been at the end of the road for over a month waiting to be removed by the company. I have called on 5+ occasions, each call I was told they would put in a request for pickup, and on some of the calls they said they would escalate the issue to their supervisors to handle it right away. It's Nov. 17th and we're still waiting for this issue to be resolved! I am tired of my neighbors asking why the cans are still at the end of the road, I'm tired of calling over and over and over with no successful outcome. I AM SO READY TO BE DONE WITH REPUBLIC SERVICES. It has been stressful and a waste of my precious time!!!!

      Republic was our residential pickup service for years. About 7 years ago they started adding the fuel recovery fee to their invoices. Fuel is part of their overhead - why would we be charged for that? Then when we called to complain, initially Republic would remove or reduce the fuel fee. The last time I called they refused to do anything about the fuel charge.We closed our account and cancelled service. But...we cancelled our service on September 1, 2022, and not on August 31, 2022. Which to Republic meant we owed for Sept-Oct-Nov. Three months that we DIDN'T receive service. I paid that invoice. I received an invoice today for another $52.54 for the container removal in September!!! Unbelievable! Horrible, horrible business! NEVER AGAIN!

      They took over the contact for our condos from JRM three weeks ago. Trash pick up is on Mondays (regardless of holidays)Week 1 - only picked up maybe half of the communities trash (randomly picked up some and not others)Week 2 - picked up a day late due to unforeseen circumstancesWeek 3 - here we are on Tuesday - trash STILL NOT PICKED UP. Literally the worst. Cannot give them zero stars or o would.

      Absolute disaster! Ordered a dumpster for my business with a lock. Shows up with no lock. They then take forever to put one on and then charged me for the lock AND to come put it on when it was ordered that way and paid for UP FRONT. Then didn't empty the dumpster when scheduled. Its like they empty it whenever they felt the urge. Third my service was supposed to stop on July 1st 2022 as we moved to a bigger building and they left the dumpster on the property until October and as of Nov. 14th ************************** monthly.

      Republic was my trash pickup service. (residential). I received a call informing me they no longer would be providing service to our street because not enough business.) They are continuing business in other areas very near our street. We were never late with a payment to this company nor was our neighbor. It did however work out well for us because we will now use Cards trash service who is much cheaper.I called Republic to pickup their garbage container but was told it couldn't be scheduled until 12/02/22. I informed ******* this was not acceptable but she continued to repeat the container wouldn't be picked up until 12/02.

      They frequently fail to pick up trash, recycling, or yard waste on the scheduled day and it seems like they are getting worse. I notified them about the missed pickup of my yard waste and 6 days later, it's still sitting out at the street.

      As a ******* customer with about 14 months of service from Republic, I am disappointed. There have been repeated delays in pickups, meaning that I am informed there will be a day-delay due to an "unforeseen circumstance" but then the pickup is a week later leaving me with excess trash or recycling to deal with. A weather delay for one day turns into a week. I received a text a couple weeks ago that "We have heard your voices and listened, we will keep weekly recycling going" (instead of bi-weekly). The next day, I got a text that said "due to unforeseen circumstances, recycling will be delayed".My initial "deal" with them was $96/quarter however we are now near $150 just over a year later. When I asked about this, the response is an Environmental Recovery Fee and Fuel Recovery Surcharge are levied at the discretion of the company. I should not have to pay additional for their fleet fuel charges if the market settles or flattens but yet they continue to pass on their operational costs to the consumer. Their Purchasing Agent should have a good gauge on commodity futures or lock in contracts with suppliers in order to avoid fluctuations. I am at the point of switching to another trash service company that has better cost controls and solid service reviews.

      Had to terminate services, company moved. Called and gave them a date for termination of services and they stated no problem. One month later I receive a bill for the entire month of service, when I call customer service they state they will have a representative call back, this has not happened yet and I have called 5 times in two months. They will not provide numbers for managers or supervisors. They state all they can do is escalate the case and put notes in the system.My case has been escalated 4 times - still no call back and now have been billed for 2 months of service. What a racket and will be advising as many of my customers as possible to not do business with this company.

      I signed up with Republic on Aug. 8th 2022. It took them 2 1/2 weeks to drop off the trash containers. After (1) successful pick up, I received a text message stating that "due to unforeseen circumstances they were not going to be able to pick up my trash or recycling the following week." I promptly canceled my service and told them to pick up their trash containers. As of Nov. 8th they still have not removed their containers from my property and they are trying to bill me $225 for (1) trash pick up. This company is a scam! They do not have the resources to provide the service they are selling. They are making money off container drop off and pick up fees. This company needs to be shut down immediately before they scam more customers out of hard earned money.
