I started out with AllStar disposal services which was bought up by Republic Services. Since then, I have had my bill increase while my service has declined. When I initially called about my bill increase, I was told they increase or decrease the bill as costs fluctuate. When I asked if a bill had ever went down, the lady was honest and said "no". At lease once a month my trash or recycling will not be picked up. Most recently, the week of 10/19, the entire neighborhood's trash did not get picked up. When we called about it, they said it would be picked up the next day. Not until the following Wednesday (1 day before our schedule collection) did our trash get collected. Now this week, 10/27 we get a notice that our recycling will not be collected at all! It is becoming a routine occurrence that is unacceptable when I am paying, at an increased rate, for this services.Republic Services Inc

The company appears to operate under a bait and switch method. Bait you in and then raise your rates without notice. When we called to cancel service, they agreed to "discount" the rate, but in order to obtain that discount, we had to use the service another quarter. effectively taking us back to our original rates. Then at the end of the quarter they charged a fee to "pick up their container" plus administrative and fuel surcharges. When i asked what the service of pickup meant, there didn't seem to be an answer. As so many others have stated, buyer beware-Republic Services Inc

We have been struggling with Republic Services Inc of ******* for years. We added bi-weekly recycling pickups to our account at least three years ago, and since the very first "scheduled" pickup, Republic has repeated reneged on our contract. Despite selling their recycling service as being on a bi-weekly schedule (26 pickups per year), they have routinely let 4-6 weeks go by without touching our bin.In 2021, Republic Services picked up our recycling bin exactly TEN times.We called them regularly and repeatedly to say that they had neglected our route, and the routine excuse has been that they were just running behind (note that their online route calendar, on every occasion, stated that the trucks were running "on schedule").I have had to make multiple trips to a local municipal-run recycling drop off point with the contents of our overflowing bin.Yesterday my wife called Republic Services to request the cancellation of the recycling pickup portion of our contract. She was told that we would be charged for the pickup of our (empty, for once!) recycling bin -- I guess I should be impressed that they would actually be "picking it up"... for once... Anyway, we told them we would refuse to pay any fee for the retrieval of their own bin, especially in light of them not fulfilling their contract for years and years now.This morning, which was our regularly scheduled household garbage pickup, the truck "picked up" our bin, drove 25 feet to the bridge, and dropped our bin (still full of trash) into the creek below.This is an absolutely terrible company...Republic does not care about the environment, your community, or their customers.Republic Services Inc

Noting the reply (above) from Republic:They claim they would like the opportunity to discuss my feedback.It should be noted that it is now EIGHT days since my phone call to Republic, during which I was assured someone would be calling me back.To date, no one has called. It seems that customer feedback is pretty low on their priorities.I should note here that, unknown to me earlier, our neighbors bin was actually destroyed by the truck on the same day ours was dropped into the creek. This neighbor said that Republic told him he would have to pay for a new can, since it happened on his property. My wife called Republic today, and was informed that Republic Services Inc. of Indiana has no record of ever speaking to her, regarding recycling services. She has called at least once a month for three years. When my wife asked about MY phone call last week - the call about the incident that prompted my review - she was told they had no record of that call, either.This just reinforces my opinion - now firmly supported by empirical evidence - that no, Republic, you have literally zero interest in addressing my feedback.Review fromChris B

They pay is not good at all we have to deal with needles, beg ********* and they dont pay what the job requires its a multi billion dollar company and we get hardly anything also they dont treat their employees fair the job overall is horrible we risk our lives daily for little pay I can go on and on but I dont have enough space to type it allRepublic Services Inc

AFTER BEING A CUSTOMER FOR 20 PLUS YEARS AND I KNOW HOW COST HAVE GONE UP BUT A $44 FUEL CHARGE ADDED TO A $86 BILL??? I WATCH THIS COMPANIES TRUCK SIT ACROSS THE STREET FROM MY BUSINESS IDLING FOR TWO HOURS EVERY WENSDAY AND MULTIPLE TRUCK DRIVE BY MY BUSINESS EVERY DAY . Rating a 1 only because I cant give it a 0. Constantly raising prices and charging different prices to each family in the neighborhood. Changing pick up days. **************** is a joke (rude). I wish we could switch companies but I cant find another one to switch to. Just awful.Republic Services Inc

I have three accounts with Republic Services and I feel that I have to call them at least every other week for failure to pick up my trash! I am forced to use them by my county but their reliability and customer service is horrific!! It is not healthy nor is it appealing to have trash cans sitting out in front of your home for days waiting for pick up! Very disgusted with their service and lack of reliability!Republic Services Inc

I have sent this email as requested to Republic Service:In the subject line are my 3 account numbers. My husband called on 10/24/22 and the gentleman in **************** said, Thank you for calling *** and letting me know and offered nothing to him. Our pick up should have been 10/21/22 and our trash cans have been sitting out all weekend on the whole street! I called yesterday and talked to a lady and she offered to have my trash picked up on 10/27/22 and my next pick up date is 10/28/22 and I asked if that made any sense and when it was all said and done, if she offered a courtesy pick up then I would not be warranted a credit! How sad is that! I told her I wanted a credit and of course the credit will not show up until my next bill is due and I will bet you there will be no credit! I have made too many phone calls and everyone tells you something different not to mention all of the time I waste having to call them for their lack of reliability!Review fromClotilde G

Republic Services ************************************************************* I received a bill from Republic Services stating that I owed a total of ***** from a past due bill and a late fee of ***** dollars. First, we as customers were never alerted that these charges were going to be added in case of a miss payment. Second, it was stated in my invoice that if paid the total I will be covered until my next billing cycle that was until October 30th.I paid the full amount and was worried free that all was ok since I paid per the invoice all amounts due. To my surprise I get a separate bill for an additional ten dollars because they had not included from a previous bill a 10-dollar late fee. When I called to ask for prove of what bill they were referring to, the agent sent me a copy with a bill that had NO late fees in the break down. When I ask, she said that is it was their mistake that the fee was not added at the time that regardless I had to pay. This means they can add any amount after the fact to a previous paid bill, just because they forgot. Wow, unbelievable. These people are just taking advantage of us customers that are working so hard to make ends meet. I cannot imagine how many people have just paid without inquiring about these charges. They are making millions adding extra unjustifiable and ridiculous fees.Republic Services Inc

I paid for yard waste service before the season begins. It started out fine but by June they started missing my pick up. Now because of a driver shortage, they pick up every other week even though I paid for every week. I called about a rebate since I paid for a every week pick up but the customer service rep said no. They say you can buy brown bags and they will pick it up. That is not what I paid for, and I am not going to incur another expense. Do not go with republic. They are unreliable and their customer service is not great.Republic Services Inc

Im upset that when my trash gets picked up, the drivers dont have enough respect to place them back upright the way they found them! They leave them thrown on the floor!! If they end up broken one day I will not pay to have them replaced. And if I could attach a picture I would. Please give respect as you would like it give!!Republic Services Inc
