We have been with Republic Services since they took over for allied waste about 20 years. The fees have gone up and up. I canceled with them in June because the fees for three months with their gas fees for two cans went up to $499.99. They charged $100.00 to pick up the cans and added $52.77 for gas recovery fees. The total was $152.77 to pick up the cans. They are over charging and price gouging. I wanted to bring this to your attention because this not right what they are doing to the community. They don't deserve one star!!!!!!Republic Services Inc

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!!! FEES, FEES, FEES!!!!! Billing Nightmares!!!!!! Autopay NEVER WORKS!!!! (They will try to blame you for it not working even if you have every one of your other reoccurring bills for other companies setup without issue). Continous Billing Issues and Late Fees Before Bills are even due. If you discontinue service you get more bills and late fees for 10yr old, beat up Santek Container removal. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR.....DON'T BELIEVE the BBB Rating of A+. READ THE LONG, LONG, LONG LIST OF COMPLAINTS.CHOOSE A DIFFERENT SERVICE!!!!!Site will not allow Zero Star Ratings.Republic Services Inc

They missed several pickups at my home with child day care (many diapers) so removal of our trash was very paramount. However, we got lies after waiting on hold and listening to a woman that sounded intoxicated promising us immediate resolution to do the bare minimum of picking the trash they were supposed to but failed to do so several times. When they did pick up our trash, our bin was left in the driveway as opposed to the curb where we had to exit our vehicle and move it before entering our driveway. It would be my educated guess they hire felons due to their ******************** but what do I know?!Let this company drown on its own and spare yourself the headaches and disappointment!!!!Republic Services Inc

Been a long time customer. Decent past ********************. Now, 7/25/22, **** goes from up another $12. No notice of increase at all and no justification. Then, on the same billing statement, these guys add a quarterly total fuel/environmental recovery fee of $33.59. No explanation and no justification offered - no notice either. So customers are immediately seeing a **** increase of nearing 100% by this Company who hives no advance notice at all. When you call for s request for written explanation, they have none as staff are unsure. It seems, at least, very improper for any Company to just decide to increase their fees almost 100 percent while giving No notice at all to the customers. This may be price gouging at its best.Republic Services Inc

I have been with Republic for many years and now that I switched to a different company they were trying to charge me for my trash can which they said would call me and let me know when they would pick it up. Which they never did. So I called them to see when they could pick it up, they said the next day. Which they did come pick it up. I received an email that I owed $179. I called them and they did take off the fee for the trash can but now I still owe $46 for the removal of the trash can. This I dont understand. I get sick of people always having their hand off for just a little more money to put in their pockets. I will never go with Republic Services ever again.Republic Services Inc

I tried to rent a dumpster from Republic, called their call center several times throughout the delivery day and was assured it would arrive. They told me, and I quote, "Our drivers work until 6, we don't guarantee delivery times", you could almost hear them shrug dismissively over the phone. Well, it never arrived, I'm being charged for a day I wasn't able to use, and more importantly I've lost a whole day of work because I had no dumpster. Avoid using Republic services at all costs, their customer service will just straight lie to you.Republic Services Inc

I always have paid my **** on time...I get picked up on fridays weekly...now 18 days no pick up...they do not call ...very unprofessional....also letting trash sit that long at bottom of driveway is a health issue very unsanitary and an eyesore to our neighbors...so fed upRepublic Services Inc

After missing a scheduled pick up, I contacted Republic Services to schedule a missed pick up. On three different days, I was told the scheduled pick up would happen, but it didnt. This includes three conversations with a senior adviser and supervisor of the district. I was lied to over and over again. When I called the corporate office the next week, I was told the rescheduled pick *** didnt happen because a sticker was placed on my container on my regular pick up day because it was blocked by a car. Because of this reason, I had to wait until my next scheduled pick up day. I should have been told this by the first representative I spoke to, and a notation should have been entered into the file. I was told by the corporate office that I have to specify the details each time I call, as though Im supposed to be aware of their company policies. The first representative was at fault for not specifying the details in the file, and not telling me about their policy. Very poor communications and lack of responsibility and accountability by this company. I do not recommend using this company for their services.Republic Services Inc

I've lived in my house since **** and my trash receptacle has sat in the same spot since that date. When Republic Services bought **** Waste, we were told our trash **** would not be increased for 12 months. However, after making 11 payments of $55.00, which is what **** Waste charged for many years), Republic raised the rate by *****% to $65.91. Then 8 months later, Republic raised the rate again; however, this time it was ****%, making the **** $81.07. This is a ****% increase in essentially 8 months or right at 20 months since they bought out **** Waste. When they bought **** Waste, Republic had all the **** Waste customers sign a contract for 3 years. Now the contract didn't say anything about a huge rate increase and every one of us had a stable trash **** of $55.00 for many years; so who expected our trash **** to jump ****% in 8 months; so we signed. Of course, the contract does include a termination statement that says they can charge you the lesser of 6 months of monthly charges or the remainder of the contract. Republic said they notified us of the rate increase on our previous ****. The statement on the **** said, "Your next invoice may reflect a rate adjustment. Please contact us with any questions." It didn't say "will reflect a 23% rate increase, just "may reflect a rate increase", so we were expecting a small increase because it just went up *****% months before. When you call Republic, they tell you your Account manager will call you within 2 business days; but they never called during the last 15 calendar days. A week ago, I requested another call back and the requested was escalated to the Sales Supervisor and they would contact me within 2-3 business days. That has yet to occur. I need to find out if they are going to waive the 6-month termination fee completely or charge a decreased termination or allow those of us that are fully retired a payment plan.Republic Services Inc

I wouldn't give them any stars. I have been with this company many years and my neighbor pays way less than I do so I'd have to call and tell them this and they'd lower my **** to what they charge them for the exact same service. My **** would always go up with their extra fees. I did pay 100 dollars every three months for trash and recycling pick up but I got my **** last month and it went up to 180 dollars with gas fees. So I'm done and cancelled. I was told that I would have to pay 30 dollars a can for it to be picked up but I never remember signing anything that said this. Well I got the **** for them picking up my trash cans of 100 dollars. They charged me 30 dollars a can and 20 dollars each can for gas/fees. I called to get this removed and they refused to do it I told them a guy in a pick up truck was in the neighborhood was already picking up can and why am I getting charged two separate gas fees when he only came to my house once. They were rude on the phone and would not remove all the extra fees for gas. This company is getting away with charging their customers with with whatever they want for profit. I will NEVER recommend this Republic Services to anyone. I found a new company where I only pay 22 dollars a month for the same service.Republic Services Inc
