      If I could give them a negative score, I would. Save yourself the trouble and do not use U-Haul! I used their pod to move from ********** to **. Online they charge less than (about $1k) what they actually charged. The customer service *****, it seems that they employ a lot of temporary or young workers who have no idea what's going on. The management was not helpful either, and they would often be heard in the background telling the customer service representative what to say but were not accessible to the customer when I asked to be transferred. Also, upon arrival your things are bound to be damaged...so much of my things were broken or distraught from the move. **************

      We rented a truck for a 44 mile round trip day move. We received A truck with 1/4 tank of gas. We returned the truck with the agreed 1/4 tank of gas . When we received our bill, it included a $30 returned empty and $40 refill charge . ********, robbed of $70 upcharge . When called to dispute , they said that nothing could be done unless we had pictures . TOTAL SCAM. Not a trust worthy company and if Corporate allows this to continue , there reputation for and honest organization will be void.

      I'm active duty military and we had to move from *********** to ********, *******. I booked the U-Haul truck and car transport in July for our October move. The *day before* I was supposed to pick up the truck, they called me and said they did not have the car transport I needed and would have to pick up the truck and then go to another location 2 hours after the time I requested pick up. Also, when I reserved the truck I requested moving blankets and a furniture dolly. The U-Haul rep told me they did not have a furniture dolly and that I "did not need that many moving blankets". Even though I placed the order in July and was paying for them. When I picked up the truck, 2 of the rear tires were completely bald and unsafe. I had to call roadside assistance to change the 2 tires before I even got on the road. Roadside assistance only showed up with one tire so I had to wait on them an additional 2 hours to get the second tire. I then had to go to another location to pick up the car transport. When the U-Haul rep attached the car transport to the trailer ball, he *did not attach the trailer correctly*. The next day we departed ***********. 2 hours outside of town one of the tires that was replaced the day before had the tread all fall off in pieces on the side of the road. My wife, child, and pet had to wait on the side of the road for an additional 3 hours for a new tire in 90-degree heat. This negligence put us in danger and delayed our schedule so we had to drive at night to meet our scheduled deadlines. The moving truck was in poor condition as well. The rear left brake caliper was leaking brake fluid. The U-Haul rep told me it would be fine. There was brown goo all over the inside wall in the back of the truck I had to clean. They also gave me the truck with just over 1/2 of a tank of gas. Overall, it was a terrible experience and it pains me to pay that much money for such poor equipment and service. I would give zero starts if I could.

      They said it would be the flat rate of $200 for two days and they ended up charging me $1,780.65! ABSOLUTE SCAM! They are terrible people! They're rude and liars. Please consider anyone else!

      Disappointed, made my pick up location 20 miles away my contract was 138 miles this extra 20 miles put me over my 138 miles called they reassured me they would add 50 miles to me contract they never did

      I placed a reservation for a trailer rental about a month ago for a pick-up and delivery to *******. I was later notified the new site would be ****** **. Today I learned that it is now *******, So U-Haul wants me to incur $140 in mileage on my vehicle and waste four hours of my time (60 miles each way at over an hour's drive time each way) to compensate for U-Haul's total lack of management ability. U-Haul needs a total purge of its management team so it can be replaced by intelligent people who understand how the vehicle rental business is supposed to work.U-Haul is the worst of the worst. Its BBB score is 1.07 out of 5 stars. It looks like it is shooting for the bottom... to be the most poorly run and least respected company on earth, and I think it may very well win that race.Shame on you nasty people working at U-Haul. Shame on you and your parents for not teaching you how to be good people.

      Not Just incompetent, downright fraudulent. Wanted to move items using their container program.U-Haul not only never reserved the container, but then Shared my credit card information with other movers, who subsequently charged my card over 14 times for services they said they could not render.Heed these reviews! When you see the complaints, pathetic ratings, and the spineless, meaningless replies, it is only through deception and clever marketing that these people stay in business. Sure wish I would have heeded my own advice and checked this site first.

      I had a terrible contact today from a Uhaul scheduling rep. *** let me know I could drive to another city to get the truck. I said no, I couldn't drive that far. *** said she would just cancel my reservation then. I said no, please don't cancel. This lady was so rude. *** cancelled my reservation anyway.

      It's no longer cancelled as your management moved it back to reserved. You should not allow your employees to get mad at the customer and take their anger out on the customer by cancelling without permission.
