This company calls me 2-3 times a day with the same recording leaving a message stating I have a rare blood type and they need my platelets. I want to be removed from their list. They call from california numbers , AZ numbers, all different cities. It doesnt matter how many numbers I block, it still continues. I am tired of being harrassed by this company.Business Response

I donated blood years ago and have since received calls almost daily. I have asked to be taken off their caller list and have blocked what seems like 100 different phone numbers. They still keep calling on new numbers. This type of harassments from the start has made me not want to continue donating, ESPECIALLY with this company. I donated blood to Vitalant once a couple of years ago. They have called me relentlessly ever since, using numerous different local numbers so no matter how many you block, they keep calling. They also leave long automated voicemails which clog up my voicemail box. It is very difficult to unsubscribe - this organization seems less like a charity and more like a scam. PLEASE take me off the list (also, the numerous other complaints on BBB should really be a cause for concern for this org). If I donate blood again, it would not be through Vitalant out of principle.Business Response

We have been non-consenting recipients of the ************** newspaper every Thursday morning for the past three years (at the least). I have called them several times over the past few years to unsubscribe and stop the delivery of this newspaper but they relentlessly throw the paper on my property anyway. At this point, i feel it is soliciting and littering. I am not even sure who they think is paying for it, but it isnt us!Business Response

This business is constantly calling me, sometimes twice a day from different numbers. I understand how important blood donation is, but I don't need to be reminded every day. I signed up to give blood through my previous job and disclosed my personal information to Vitalant. It has been over a year since I've left that job and since then I have received calls at LEAST 2-4 days a week, sometimes multiple times a day from Vitalant. Like many have stated, every time I receive a call, I block the number. I used to go without answering calls at all, but I'm in the middle of a job search and in the last week alone I have mistakenly answered the phone thinking it was about a job interview only to realize with dawning horror that it was once again Vitalant. I've tried to log in to an account to see if I could uncheck their contact, but NONE of my emails are in their system. I just had the misfortune to donate my blood ONCE and have been harassed ever since. Why is their practice like this? How is this even legal? If anything, this experience has scared me away from donating again in the foreseeable future, or if I do, I need to start handing out false numbers like I'm at the club. I donated to vitalant about 10 years ago, however to this day I am still be incessantly harassed by their phone center employees who call me at a minimum twice weekly. I block every number they call from to no avail as they use a different number and area code each time. As Ive informed many of the callers I am no longer eligible to donate due to anemia and have repeatedly asked to be placed on the do not call list. I am at my wits end with these people and it honestly makes me completely turned off to the entire process of donating blood when Im eligible. I cant support an organization that HARASSES people who donate blood its beyond crazy.Business Response

Over the past several days I have received at least 5 calls per day from vitalent asking for blood donations. I block one number and they use an auto dialer to use a different one. I even spoke with one representative earlier today and expressly said no to scheduling an appointment. I have received 3 more calls today since that one. This is absolutely harassment and makes me never want to donate blood to them again. They need better controls over how often they can ask for donations.Business Response
