I bought 4 Nitto tires from discount tire in ********** for ****** on 3/12/24. The back passenger tire exploded (delamination) on 9/12/24. Car towed to discount tire to remove exploded tire and to buy a new one. I have approx 10k of damage to my car from the tire. I purchased tires on Sept 17th. Secheduled to install on monday the 23rd. However I didn't have anyone to help me get it to them until the 25th on Wednesday. That morning i called to see if someone could drop me off at my home after delivering the car. When I got there is was obvious that wouldn't be able to happen for some time so I got an **** home. That should have been my first choice anyway. Later that day I got a call that only 2 of the 4 tires were ordered so it would be the next day before they would be in and could be installed. I worked late that night and knew I would be working late so I told them to just put it in the garage and id pick it up after it was ready the next day. Called the next day at 5:30 to be told it wasn't ready but that it would be done before they leave. I showed up after 6 and waited. When they pulled my car out the first thing that I saw was the ***** in the front cowling. The attendant acted like I was a con man when I pointed it out and said that it was there when i brought it. But I brought it from the paintless dent repair comp.. He got the Mgr and he said he saw it immediately the first day but never said a word. Because there was no way. He told me that he would file a claim the next morning. I still havent heard a word from him. I would like the ***** fixed. ***, the air pressure on the tires were 37, 45, 42 and 39. On May 10, 2024 I purchased one (1) ******** Eagle Touring tire from Discount Tire in ******, **. Well, I thought that I purchased one (1) brand new tire. I waited while the tire was installed on the front passenger side. On Monday, October 7, 2024 the warning light for low tire pressure came on, so I went I put air in the tire; 2 days later the warning light came back on for the same tire and again I put air in the tire. On Saturday, October 12, 2024, I went to ********* in *******, ** to have them check the tire. Upon inspection, ********* found that the tire had previously been plugged. So the tire that I thought that I purchased brand new was in fact not new, yet Discount Tire charged me for a brand new tire and passed off a used tire to me. I guess they felt that since I was a woman, they could take advantage of me because of the misconception that women do not know their way around a car.Business Response

In the end of 2023 we took our vehicle to this shop. Through neglect they installed improper parts on our vehicle. After three attempts at resolution we took it to another shop, who confirmed the incorrect labor and parts used, which had caused damage. The shop refunded our money, with no apology. It is now almost a year later, and because of the incorrect labor and parts our car is potentially irreparably damaged.Business Response

I bought my tires around Nov 2023. This is the only location that I have taken my tires for service such as the tire rotation. A few months ago I brought my car for tire rotation and the lug nut broke. The manager refused to have it fixed and then he agreed to take it to a mechanic and I took it the same day. Today Oct 5th, 2024 I took my car again and the lug nut broke again on another side of the car. I asked to speak with the manager ***** and he said that happens all the time. It does not happen all the time if the issue is re occurring. The damage keeps happening due that its poor work being performed after confirming with the mechanic that they referred me to. Discount tire rushes the work and is causing damage on my vehicle over and over again. The manager did not care and acted all casual. The fact is that they are causing damage to my vehicle over and over and going out of my way to get it fixed. Taking me hours out of my day. On September 10, I brought my 2022 ***** in for tire replacement. Upon retrieving my vehicle later that day, I discovered a white, milky substance covering the new tires and rims. I observed that this substance could be removed, so I returned home. A few weeks later, as the substance began to wear off, my husband pointed out that it was concealing damage to the rims, which explained why I had not noticed it earlier. I contacted Discount Tires, and they forwarded my case to claims. The claims department requested various details, including a repair estimate. Unfortunately, the repair shops I contacted, which I informed claims about, do not service my type of rims, each costing over $600 with taxes. Discount Tires attributed the damage to curbs and similar factors. I requested a video of the service performed on my vehicle and mentioned that I possess footage of my car departing and returning from Discount Tires, which they can verify by timestamp. Although the video is not very clear, it does capture the damage on the rim closest to the camera. While the milky substance is less visible in the video, it effectively obscured the damage. I also took two still images with visible timestampsone before I left for Discount Tires and another upon my return. By zooming in on the front rim in these images, one can observe the damage that was previously hidden by the substance, with some other images also showing the milky residue.I would like to have my rim replaced, as they were intact before the tire replacement at Discount Tires. In addition, the only place that has ever serviced my car has been the ***** dealership where I purchased my car. They may have video of my last service which was on 8/17/2022. I was contacted by claims department. The lady received offered $150. My rims cant be fixed. I spent $1,449.57 on the tires and the two rims that were damaged and could not be repaired.are $636.50 each with taxes$1,273almost the same amount I spent on tires. She asked that I ask a repair shopI called and was referred to a specialty shop and they cant fix them either. The claims agent has all that information. Weve taken all our cars to Discount Tires in the past and had no complaints. ***** does everything on my car and recommended I changed my tires at Discount Tires because they only had the standard ***** tires. I had purchased a brand new set of 4 tires, 2 days before, and had walked into the store for my scheduled appointment time. Upon walking inI was the first ****** in line. There were 3 red-shirted men standing behind the counters doing nothing besides looking at their terminals. Not a single one of them greeted me. Not a single one of them acknowledged me. It went on for MINUTES! Then a red-shirted man came into the store from the TIRE GARAGE and kindly asked if he could help me. I thanked him and told him I was there for an appointment to have tires put onto my vehicle. He immediately led me to a terminal to assist me.Suddenly, Eriq (not only one of the 3 red-shirted men but also the one who sold me the tires 2 days before) mumbles over nervously about how he was about to help me and sorry that he didnt get to me. I didnt bother looking over at him anymore than he bothered looking at me when I mumbled to him, Sure! Then he mumbles more about how he was sorry and proceeded to say he will toss in some windshield wipers in my front seat when the tires are doneI ignored him because that comment was extremely condescending, unnecessary, unwelcome, and unprofessional.Finally, when I retrieved my vehicle: 1) Whomever installed my new tires put 2 different types of black tire caps on the new tiresrather than chrome caps (I always ask for chrome and chrome was on the old tireswhy not put those back on?), 2) There was no cap of any kind put onto the spare tire (my old spare had a chrome capwhy not put that back on the new one?), 3) The white sticker tire sku was left on and noticeable on all the new tiresso anyone who looks near my rims can easily see them there on any tire.Unacceptable and unprofessional all around!Business Response

I have attempted to contact the business many times, after receiving voicemails. But each time I called back, I was told by random employees that the Managers I should be speaking with were not at the shop at the timeand whenever I asked about their return, there was no certainty of their return. I have left messages that I called but never had secondary return calls. Went to have a tire checked out. When Tire was taking off a rim, the tire was stated not safe for road and they would not put the original tire back on when I asked about me signing a liability waiver for them putting the tire back on they stated that it is corporate policy, so they offered to put a tire on it that wasnt matching to the tire that I had i.e. a 275 3520 versus a 245 tire on my car when stated I wanted the original tire put back on it felt like I was forced to buy a new tire so I bought two new tires because I didnt want my back two tires to mismatch . It was also never stated when I walked in that if Tire is a safety concern, we cant put back on the room.Business Response

So here's my experience get a quote over the phone telling me that he can do $60 for each tire. I have a small civic I have hubcaps. I don't have rims all stock all standard edition. I bought all four brand new tires. I even threw an alignment in there And pay cost was about $500 the very next day I noticed aloud thumping when windmill sound I call in course I go back so they tell me basically I don't hear any sound and I tell the manager again I say are you sure because it's definitely a sound never made before then he says you know it's probably your hubcaps and I'm thinking OK so he says I'll grease them up for you whatever so I take it home and I even got worse more of them now the two front ones are making the loud thumping noise so I go back again and I said hey, it's even worse so they literally put bright red tape around the rim of the hubcap and placed them back on my vehicle instead of saying hey since we broke the hubcaps we will replace so there goes me having to come out of pocket took off all the ones with the ugly tape around the red mind you because my car is red. I don't know if they thought it would be cute to put red tape. The rims are not red and either all the hubcaps to top it off I was looking at the receipt and it said free mounting and balancing economy tire installation package, which is what I got but I got charged 102 overall labor cost was $187 and some change don't get me wrong. The people were nice but that's about it and to top it off that wasn't even the best price for the tire. They charged me $64 per tire.
