I purchased a set of new tires for my truck from Discount Tire. Shockingly, after the installation, my vehicle began to periodically and violently vibrate whenever I drove at speeds of 65 mph or higher. These violent vibrations are not just an inconveniencethey are a serious safety hazard that make driving on the highway a harrowing ordeal.Out of concern for my safety, I returned to the store promptly to have the tires looked at and rebalanced, expecting that this would resolve the issue. However, after another highway drive, it became glaringly evident that the problem was not fixed. The dangerous vibrations persist, making it clear that either the tires are defective or the service was grossly incompetent.Imagine buying a set of tires for your own vehicle just to not have the same driving experience (or vehicle) as you came in with but worse. That is what Discount Tire Co. has done to my vehicle. I now have to waste even more of my time returning to the store, all while dealing with the anxiety and danger of driving an unstable vehicle. This situation has been an absolute nightmare, and I am appalled by the company's utter failure to provide a satisfactory resolution. I have contacted the company on multiple occasions after my in-person attempts at a resolution. I was provided an automated response that I would be contacted within ************************************** any capacity. Showed up for a tire patch due to a nail in my tire. Picked up my car after work was done. Same night went to the car to leave my house and surprise surprise! My tires low again. Went to look at the tire and the nail is still there!!!!!!!! Nobody patched it!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You gave back the car without even bothering!? Took the day off work to get it fixed and had to take the following day off too! Went to another place and got charged for it. Is this how you guys do business? On May 3, 2024 I went to the Discount Tire, at *************************, to have 4 new tires installed that I ordered online with Discount Tire. At the completion of my install, I was advised by an employee that they damaged my wheel ********* and that I would need to go to Brakes Plus(see attachment), to have it repaired, taking 2hrs out of my day. On May 20, 2024, I visited my ************* dealership to have my vehicled serviced. Upon inspection, the ******** tech brought to my attention that Discount Tire had not only damaged the lug and mounting hole threading on the wheel hub that Brakes Plus fixed, they damaged the entire wheel hub. All lugs show significant wear & damage, even though the wheels and lugs are less than a year old. Because of the extent of the damage, a new wheel *********s is required, which will cost $1700 parts & labor. I took my concern back to Discount Tire where the wheel was damaged and spoke with a manager about what had transpired. I explained to the manager and one of his installers, that my wheels and tires were installed by them at that location; both the current set of tires and the previously set a year earlier. The installer stated that my bolts had been over tightened, and I informed him that they installed my wheels on my car the in November of 2023, just 6 months prior. I informed the manager that I want to be compensated for what it will cost me to have my wheel hub replaced. He would go on to inform me that they do not have the ability to provide a check for the cost, but would pay to have the work done at their partners at Brake Plus. I informed the manager we will need to come to better solution, being that I no longer trust Discount Tire's or Brakes Plus to work on my vehicle any more. I am seeking either having the cost of my tires be refunded or Discount Tire pay the ************* dealership directly for my repairs.Business Response

I took my Cadillac Srx Suv to have my tires rebalanced and rotated on May 30th, my vehicle had no lights on the panel. When it was returned my abs light was on, my sensor light was on, I asked the manager why and what did y'all do to it. Manager replied they didn't do anything, I told him that I had no lights on when I got there. I took my vehicle to mechanic to have it checked and was told that abs cable was disconnected and sensors were not reset. So mechanic reconnected abs and reset all 4 tires. The sensor on same side where abs was disabled had to be replaced and cost me *****. I went back to Discount Tires and spoke with manager, he said they didn't do anything to my vehicle he was there the whole time, if that was the case why weren't my tires reset and why was my abs disconnected. I never had that problem before. I feel that the employee was a new hire for manager to be with him the whole time, so he says. I contacted branch office in ***** and want to file a complaint and was told that the district manager would contact me. He called but left a message that he would call me back within 2 hrs but never did. I called headquarters in AZ. On Monday Jun 3rd and explained to them what had happened and they told me to hold on to my receipt and the district manager would be contacting me but never did. I did a review on yelp and had a reply to from Discount Tires to follow the link to get contact information so I edited and said that Discount Tires has all my contact information. Something was had me puzzled about the reply from Discount Tires. Over all Management was very unprofessional because he would not take the time to see what was wrong with my Cadillac as far as my lights on my panel.Business Response

Today I discovered a slow leak in one of my nearly new tires. I removed the tire and found a small puncture in the middle of the tread. It appeared to me to be easily repairable. I took it to the Discount Tire store, where I normally trade on ********** in *************************, ********. I dropped the tire off. A short time later I received a call from **** who said that the tire had two punctures and was non repairable, but he would gladly replace the tire for ******. I told him to go ahead but after thinking about it, I retrieved the tire. I was surprised to find out that it had not even been broken down. I took it to the ********** across the street. They broke the tire down. There was only one puncture. They repaired it for free, and sent me on my way.Business Response

Scheduled tire install. Partial order delayed from Tire Rack. Discount Tire would not use their inventory to complete installation. Tire Rack and Discount Tire are same company. First tried to get an answer to my question from ***************************** with customer. He did not answer my question and has stopped responding.
The issue is with Discount Tire. They had the tires in stock but would not install them. I missed a day of vacation and lost a couple of hundred dollars due to their refusal to used their stock to complete the order. Surely there is a way, within the same company, to handle this very simple inventory issue. Incredibly poor customer service. Reviews will reflect this issue.
I have talked to **** and **** at the local store. Neither answered my question as to why Discount Tire refused to used their inventory to complete the scheduled installation.
My question is why Discount Tire and Tire Rack being the same company would share inventory.

I have purchase tires for 3 vehicles here recently, I have already had to rotate my tires in two cars, but on my fathers car, he showed up to rotate tires, and they sent him away, he has driven ****** miles according to ***** one of the managers here, but he took close to 5 minutes to show me the screen, and trying to charge me about $400 to replace the tires, we buy the extended service, he mentioned the tire not being rotated did not cause the damage, but then in the screen he showed me my dad came in April and had them rotated, which they did not, they told him they were fine, but the tires are falling apart, in the end I told them they refused service to an 80 year old man, and try to charge him, more to replace tires that have never been rotated. He brought it down to $100 for two replacements, but I have never had to replace so many tires at ********* and pay for them when we feel they are at fault, my father is an older retired man, and lacks the means to spend, I have to take the time off work to do this, but I pay extra for the services that are not being provided. They did not want to provide me with a GM name or number, ***** (manager) mentioned to call customer service. I paid $800 for the original four tires, and paying $100 more for bad tires does not seem right, at first they wanted to charge $354 more to replace all tires, and they have gone ****** miles without rotating, but they kept telling my dad it was to soon. I feel they refuse service, to take advantage of the customer and sell them new tires.I do not seek the original $800 back, but they should not charge for faulty tires. I paid $100, for my dads safety, for two more new tires, but when he is on his own this guys can take advantage of a senior citizen.Business Response

I bought tires online December 2023. I had them installed the same week. I purchased Bridgestone Blizzak tires and the warranty. The tires are winter tires. I have driven winter tires all year. I asked the worker if I can drive these all year. He stated that if I bring the car in and have the tires rotated at ***** miles, the tires will last. I went to Discount on Saturday to have my tires checked and they stated the front tires are worn out. I have only put over ***** miles on the tires. I only started primarily driving this car in March for work and the tires are worn. I called corporate about why the tires are already worn on the front only and the only response is the tires can't be driven in weather over ***************************************** the past with no issue. So they offered for me to buy new tires but I declined since tires should last longer than 5 1/2 months. The store I bought them from was supposed to call me between Saturday and Monday. I have not received a call. They will not rotate the tires since they are not safe. So now I have to buy new tires on Saturday from another company. I truly feel they sold me tires that were not to standard to begin with. They shouldn't be on the street at this rate.Business Response

In August of 2023: Discount Tire visit in ********, ** to replace a tire. They lost a sensor, dashboard continuing reporting issues with my vehicle, and the drive was rough as though it was not aligned. I contacted the business several times throughout the Fall in their regional and corporate contact information. No one replied or followed up. In November/December I made a fourth attempt and had one personnel reach out to me. They directed me back to the ******** location. I followed up with Corporate and finally received a response from a regional manager. They directed me to return to a location of my choosing to fix the issues. The chosen location was both dismissive and gaslighting me regarding the damage. I went to a second location and they fixed some issues, including admitting finding the missing ****** certified sensor and replacing it. Since this visit in February 2024, my car's sensors are not responding to the appropriate time. The tires continue to wear quickly even when replaced by the location. Overall, I am seeking payment for the damages of the sensors, loss of a sensor, and a refund for the low quality tires.Business Response
