This has been an on going problem for over a week trying to get America's tire to repair the damage to my sons car from a blow out at 70mph. Which America's tire admits to the tire being faulty. The damage are right rear bumper ,Mud guard and fender well. The tire manufacture is not taking care of the problem so we feel that it's America's tire duty to pay for the damage to my sons car which is around 2000 dollars. We have been getting the run around for the last week and will be forced to file a claim with the court system if the issue is not resolved.Business Response

Discount tire did not torque the lug nuts correctly on my vehicle. The wheel came completely off on the interstate causing damage and nearly causing a multi vehicle accident. They refuse to take responsibility, even though they were the ones who put the wheel on. I would like them to pay for the damage that there negligence has caused. I went to discount tire in ******* ga to get my tire pressure check at that location ,ask them to check the air pressure in my tires , my tires have the fifthy anniversary addition for camero my valve stem caps that were Chevrolet special addition fifty anniversary,they did not replace my valve stem caps at all , those caps were bought with my car ,those caps were very expensive, I told his the manager and ****** assistant manager about the situation, explaining to them those caps came with the purchase of my vehicle and that those are the original valve stem caps , now Chevrolet does not carry these valve stem caps anymore nobody does even ****** the assistant manager your right ************* no one sells them and we cant find them , they made a point to say oh we can get them off Amazon, I said no they imitation , that means they would be fake that the actual valve stems caps because Chevrolet does not sell them anymore ,I want this resolved I called *** and explained the situation nothing resolved I made a suggestion,we could do a trade off with same tires not expensive ones but some tires to cover the loss of my fifith anniversary valve stem caps , he did not want to resolve , Im extremely mad and want this situation resolved immediately, I like discount tire I do , but not taking the responsibility for there actions, that was my property not theres , it seems it was a blow off , they didnt want to hear anything but get me cheap valve stem caps knowing that the ones I had were expensive they this when I showed on the stirring wheel it says fifth anniversary,this need to be resolved to the fullest , I trusted these people do their job and it was failure they didnt do it once they did it twice like it was no big deal it is to me , I dont appreciate that have to now file a complaint it could have been simple and just put tires on my vehicle and it be resolved , I made that suggestion to *** , please resolve this situationBusiness Response

I have not had any call from store management, they do not want to make this right , these valve stem caps cant be replaced because they were the original valve stem caps because it was the fifty anniversary of Camero ,they wanted to put fake valve stem caps on my car not replace the the valve stem caps that supposed to go on my camera the problem is they dont sell these anymore ,and you cant not find these anywhere because they came with the car and Chevrolet doesnt make those anymore , here is the issue even your store assistant manager says sorry ************* we cant find them , oh but we cant get some imitations to put in your car , I dont want imitations I want what was o my car they lost and didnt put back on , thats my property and they dont care I want someone from executive customer service to call me , since they cant replace these , just put some tires on my car ,it really makes me angry someone just doesnt care ,and if I have to Ill go to another discount tire ,dont get me wrong like you guys I do , but people need to take the responsibility, please contact me on my phone at ************ asap please. I went to discount tires in aug of 2023 for a balance on my car. ******* the employee lied to me and said i had a bend in 2 wheels and told me i needed new wheels and tires. Not only did they put the wrong tires on, i had my old wheels checked and they weren't bent. I have been fighting to get my tires for almost a year, that i paid for.i was told i could switch the niche wheels for some different ones since i was rushed and lied to.i was also told i would get gas money refunded for the 18 trips i made to discount tires and received no help. An employee offered me a full refund and a new set of wheels. I said ok I'll take that, just for **** the employee to say nope,we changed our mind about giving you a refund. I had no choice but to get another set of the same wheels. **** from discount tires, on may 4th put new tires and wheels on which made my car shake so bad that its not driveable right now. **** also lied to me when he was done placing the tires and wheels on the car, and said, your car was making an awful noise before we put the new stuff on. I told him that was impossible the car was just fine. I drove my car 5 feet and heard an awful grinding noise. I told **** he lied to me, cause it sounded like the sensor hitting my brake system. **** looked and said yup you're right it's the sensor hitting the brake. I looked at **** and said, you just lied to my face about a noise YOU CAUSED. He admitted his lie but then said but i fixed my lie. As of may 4th after the tires and wheels put on the car by discount tires, my car is not only shaking really bad it is no longer drivable. I was told i could just have a refund, and now **** won't help. The regional manager was told i had been sexually harassed etc he didn't care and never called or bothered to deal with it. His name is *****!! I have been lied to over and over my car is damaged by discount tires. This place even tried to charge me for use refurbished wheels until i caught them. Had two new tires put onto my vehicle, 10 days later the car nearly goes off the freeway because 2 of the lug nuts had sheared off and the other 3 were loose. My wheel was destroyed and my abs, traction and esc lights came on. They are refusing to admit fault and pay to fix it currently even questioning the amount of mileage on it after. They fixed the tires. 10 days afterward it almost came off and now they are saying it's not their fault.Business Response

Discount tire always gives me issues when going in to use the life of tire warranty replacement They have replaced two of my tires leaving me with two bald tires because they dont know how to do their job properly. One location does one thing whilst the other does another thing. I paid Discount Tire in ********, Tx to rotate my tires on my Chevrolet pickup with 6 lift and large tire/rims (bought a lifetime pkg). The second time i took the truck in, their tech over tightened the wheel caps and pulled the s**** through the hole which caused me to lose one and another cannot be tightened up. These are $1500-$2000 rims. I asked them to replace the wheel caps and they said they would if i found replacements. Problem is the manufacturer (Ballistic) has discontinued these wheels. I couldnt find anywhere online. I went back and spoke to **** (asst **** and he said they could find them. 3 months later now and multiple phone conversations and they tell me they will pay me for the caps or make me a deal on a new set of wheels ( I HAVE TO BUY NEW WHEELS FOR THEIR MISTAKE??). Seems like a racquet to me. They mess up my wheels and it costs me $500-$1000 more. They said thats all his mgr said they can do or turn it over to claims which will send me a check for the unavailable replacements. This is not right and when i go to sell my truck i will have to take much less due to the missing pieces.Business Response

5/10/24 - 5:08 pm - 4:45 p.m appointment TXD 35 - ************************************ Invoice # ******* Scammy Sales Person - **************************** at the location prior to my scheduled appointment, checked in with the lovely ******************, was told it would be approx 45 minutes to completion. I took a seat outside. I saw an employee carefully drive my vehicle into the bay closest to the interior window of the location. Soon after, I stood up from my seat to have a look at the work they were doing. A couple of minutes later, a technician came up to me to inquire on if this was my vehicle, I said yes, he let me know that one of the tech's working on my car mistakenly broke the *** cap and he showed me the broken piece. While talking, another one broke and he said that these should be replaced since they can break easily. He said he'd have his team order replacements, he went inside, then out came ******************** to speak with me. Meanwhile the tech I spoke with earlier came back and showed me another cracked *** cap. ******** let me know that he'd replace 2 of the 4 since those were the ones that broke but didn't crack and that he recommends replacing all right now. I asked how much, he said let's go inside and take a look. He quoted me $90 each, and quoted me the part number to look it up. I did and found the part at the manufacturer for $60 and even cheaper elsewhere. In the essence of time, I said ok let's do it, the total came out to be $194.85, $14.85 more than what his original quote was. He called his vendor and THEN told me, oh they'll be here in 3 to 5 business days. I questioned why he would mislead me into thinking DT would resolve the issue now but he didn't have an answer and said I'd call you in a couple of days to come in and get it installed. I've been coming to this DT for years and have never been mislead like this. DT should be responsible to cover the cost for ALL pieces they broke, not just half of them. A refund is the only way to resolve this issue.Business Response

Management conned me into buying new tires, refused to repair a simple nail in the thread of the tire. I was told all my tires were in poor condition. 2 Associates said my tire could be repaired but the manager said no. Then I was told I could buy 2 tires, replace the tire with the nail under warranty. And keep one of my old tires. This doesnt make any sense. If all my tires are in terrible condition. Why suggest I use one of them. I previously went to the dealership for an oil change and I was told my tires were in good condition. ***** called me from Corporate, call was disconnected and I never heard from him again. ***** the store manager is rude and condescending. He told me he was losing money on the tires he sold me. He could have made $27.00 more. ***** was more concerned about removing the homeless people, not even on their property with HPD.Business Response

store manager at ******** and ******* has called me after I told the manager at Cypress that this manager has been hiding from me for a week. He called and is still refusing to accept responsibility and says for the past week he has been unaware that I have been trying to communicate a complaint with him. He denies being notified by his employees or even the store owner.
he has gone as far as insulting my intelligence by telling me that in his professional opinion, there is no difference in the traction a racing tire provides compared to a four season one. He couldnt care less if my wife had died as the result of this careless act and now I know he intentionally forced his staff to sell any garbage they have to the customers and lie and cheat!
This proves to me that this manager has no problem continuing to cheat his customers and is going to continue to disregard customers safety.Such crooked leaders train crooked individuals under their command and supervision as well and are toxic for the growth of any company. I demand that this manager to be fired and his team to be retrained on top of my compensation. To assure this, I am going to contact an attorney.

I am still in the process of getting that one tire replaced and my home store in ******* is working on that. Although They gave me a refund for the tire I had purchased months before, I do not believe the actual issue has been resolved. The main issues are;
1. Why I was lied to?
2. Why this manager is continuously throwing his staff under the bus accusing them of not letting him know for a week instead of just accepting responsibility?
3. Why was safety of my family disregarded when Discount Tire constantly preaches having matching tires all around for safety reasons?
4. Why does a high ranking store manager believe there is no difference between a sticky racing tire and a four season tire as far as traction provided is concerned?I spoke with a gentleman a few days ago who identified himself as a higher up manager with the company (called with a blocked ID so I have no way of verifying who that person really was) who did listen to me and promised to internally investigate this issue but told me they have internal policy that prohibits business from disclosing the result of an investigation and their next action that will be taken ( yes I did ask for the termination of that manager).
I demand this policy to be changed specially if there is clear proof for intentional dishonesty. I demand Discount Tire to provide that result and their decision on how to deal with this issue to the public if they truly care about transparency and quality of service. Until that point I will not accept that this issue has been resolved.I am a busy person but I will fight this battle not only for the customers that have been mistreated in the past, but also for a better future for the employees of Discount Tire that have been dealing with bad bosses. An example must be made.
