I purchased wheels from discount tire on forest lane in ************. They had to have them shipped to their store through ****** I picked up and paid for the wheels on May 6, 2024. All the boxes were closed. They told me if anything is wrong I can return the wheels as long as a tire does not get mounted on them. I take the wheels with me and test fit one on my truck with no tire mounted and it doesnt fit. I go to bring them back and they are saying there are marks indicative of a tire being mounted and tell me they cant do anything for me at all except and exchange for more expensive wheels so Ill have to pay more money is basically their only solution. I just want my money back and I followed the criteria they gave me to be eligible for a return/refund.Business Response

We came to the discount at 3701 e speedway around 6:30 pm on may 6th 2024. After being rude with us the Manager at discount tire kept saying if we wrote a complaint it would just come back to him and then told us if we had an attitude (because they continously lied to us and messed up) that he wouldn't help us. He was acting slimey the entire interaction and actually had a huge attitude with us when we were in the shop in person. It was only after I kept trying to get the corporate number in person that they finaly inspected the wheel that they were supposed to. The second manager also lied and flipped out on me when we were there in person and said that i didnt even ask for that wheel to be checked which was false. My brother called that manager out that he was with me when I called and heard me telling that manager and confirming. My brother told him that was lying and he heard me tell him three or four times on the phone to confirm when i called the 1st time and I also called a 2nd time to make sure. When i called the first time they lied and said they couldnt check the second tire because there was two damaged tires which made no sense, after calling them out on the phone we finaly got them to agree to do their job. They lied and insulted our inteligence when we were there in person and said it was in their notes not to inspect that tire when that was clearly illogical and a total lie. When they finaly inspected the second tire they didn't even fill it up all the way and left it on 26 psi and let us drive off. We drove back and the manager lied again and said it was losing air fast and that he filled it up before we left. which was another lie as we have been driving for an hour now and it hasn't lost a single psi. These people should not be working at discount let alone as management. They continously refused to give us the corporate number or their names when asked multiple times. This is unacceptable behavior.Business Response

I had purchased 4 new tires for my car and paid over 800 for them and I was told while I was there these tires come with a manufacturer warranty of 50k miles or certain number of years whichever comes first a few days ago I needed another tire replaced and he wouldnt let me talk to the manager because I knew for a fact I had a warranty on that tire. He was settled on my paying over 200 for another new tire including the labor. I could not reason with him and he was not going to try to resolve it any other way.Business Response

My husband had a tire go flat on his way home last night. These tires were purchased from Discount Tire. The flat split on the side because he had to nurse the car home on it (no spare). This tire only has ***** miles on it on a ****** mile warranty. When he took it into Discount Tire this morning to get it replaced they REFUSED to warranty it, instead claiming his car was at fault. They did not attempt to work with him to resolve the issue instead insisting on selling him a new tire. Obviously, since we've only put ***** miles on the one that went bad, we had already recently spent a good amount of money with this company. Now we have to spend additional money because they refuse to honor the warranty they provided. This is possibly the worst customer service experience ever. I will never recommend Discount Tire to anyone again. They used to care about their customers. Now they only care about making more money. With only 10% of the mileage covered by the warranty, they should have honored the warranty instead of forcing customers to spend more money than they have.Business Response

4/5/2024 went to get tire rotation and balance at Discount Tire in ******. The car was left in my garage over night. Opened my car door to find that they had lifted my car in the wrong location and have created damage to my car that will cost me $2,000 to fix because my car door is now catching and damaging my door at the hinge. They blew me off to some claims person to prove they did the damage. I am unable to provide proof per their standards...but they have no cameras and do not have a way to prove they did NOT do the damage. SHADY to not have a way to provide proof they didn't do the damage and demand that I provide proof that it did not come in that way. THE FRESH PAINT DAMAGE and THE DAMAGE TO MY UNDER CARRAIGE IS PROOF ENOUGH. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY THEY ARE CROOKED AND CORRUPT. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN WITH THIS COMPANY. This is not the first incident either. The last time I did a rotate and balance my car was pulling to the and was not balance at all. NO ONE TAKES PICTURES/VIDEOS OF VEHICLE BEING SERVICED. March 15, 2024 I went to Discount Tire *************** due to my truck making an abnormal sound like the wheels were going to fall off. The manager, after looking at my truck expressed to me that due to the employees at Discount Tire in *************** has neglected to tighten my lug nuts, which in turn has destroyed the wheels. In turn I check my other truck, which also only goes to Discount and it is exactly the same, you can turn the lug nuts by hand, without tools. A claim was filed by their manager with their claims department who told me to take my truck to ***** for inspection and repair. ***** confirmed damage was due to neglect of them tightening the lug nuts. After keeping my truck for over a month, the only repair they would pay for was the wheel lug studs. They would not pay for the damage caused by their neglect to tighten the lugs. When I picked up my truck I was told directly by the service department my truck is unsafe to drive due to the fact they will not fix the problem they have caused. I have documented in writing that the damage was caused by the wheel lug nuts not being tightened. So I now have 2 trucks, which is documented have been to discount tire, that are unsafe to drive because of taking them to Discount TireBusiness Response

Went into Discount Tire to replace front left and right tires. They were specifically asked not to touch the rear tires. They did anyway and intentionally overfilled the rear right tire with too much air (70 PSI). It has created a few bubbles on the rear tire, which will make it blow up while I am driving. They also went into my truck for no apparent reason. Not only are they endangering my life and my familys, they are making me unnecessarily buying another tire. Please help.Business Response

On 03/16/2024, Discount Tire was paid to change the rear windshield wiper on our 2006 ****** Outback. During this visit, an employee broke the wiper arm while trying to remove the old wiper. Discount Tire offered to replace and install a new wiper arm at no cost to us. On 04/06/2024, we returned to Discount Tire to have the wiper arm changed out. During this visit an employee damaged the wiper assembly motor while trying to switch out the wiper arm. Discount Tire told us to take our vehicle to the ****** dealer to have it fixed. Upon asking who would be paying dealer for the new wiper motor and the labor costs, the Discount employee stated, "They would take care of it." An appointment was made at the dealership, who also confirmed with Discount Tire, that they would be covering the bill, via phone.On 04/12/2024, we went to the ****** dealer and had our vehicle fixed. Before dropping off our ******, again we confirmed with them that Discount Tire would be covering the bill.Later that day we received a call from the dealer saying that Discount Tire wanted us to cover the bill. During our next call with Discount Tire, they stated that we needed to cover the bill and then file a claim with them to get reimbursed. We told them that was not what was agreed upon, to which they said, "Okay, we will file a claim with our claims department, so we can pay the dealer." Due to a lack of payment, the dealer said they would have to hold on to our car until payment was received. On 04/15/2024, we reached out to Discount Tire asking what was going on. They stated that they had filed the claim and that it would be completed soon.On 04/18/2024, we called Discount Tire again asking what was going on. They said the claim would take 2-3 weeks to process but that they would look into it and call back.On 04/19/2024, we called Discount Tire and asked about the claim's status. I'm writing regarding a recent experience on 4/9/2024 at Discount Tire on ******* in ************ ********. I brought it in and was letting the gentlemen know what was going on and halfway through my story he made a motion with his hands like to hurry up. He asked for my number for the vehicle and then my husbands. I told him he could call with the findings as I had to take my daughter to an appointment. At her appointment he left a voicemail stating "The tire had a side wall puncture and the other tires were bad'". I called him back and he repeated the results. I asked if it could be repaired and he said no and that "the other tires were bad and should be replaced". He asked what I wanted to do and I asked for a quote on the tires. He gave me a quote for 4 tires; the premium which were on there over $1000 and then the midgrade for $800 something. I said I would rather wait for my husband. He said okay but if you want it done we would need to know. I said okay I will have my husband call. I called him back and agreed to put on the mid grade tires.On 4/13/2024 my husband discussed what happened with a manager. and the manager determined that we were sold a tire that was under warranty, the tires were at 50% wear and since I had agreed to the new tires that all he could refund was $255 for the tire that was covered under warranty. I had ****** miles and under 3 years on ****** mile tires and now have ****** mile tires that are mid grade.Business Response
