I had order four new tires for my car and my husband put on one tire and I went to a company call Discount Tires on ******. And I told the man that stated he runs this place that I will like to have my four tires out on. And I said I will like to have them with the weight on them and the he told the guy I need the pressure check. He put tires on and as I was driving my car was shaking and my husband said did they balance your tires, I said I seen them put it on the machine. So I took care back and asked him did he balance my tires and he said no. I said why not, he said out machine do not work and than he said well some people don't like their tires balance. I said I find that hard to believe because your car is gonna shake badly. And I said why didn't you tell me that before you got my money and he said ma'am I didn't know.I said well I would have went some place else. I said well I need some of my money bad and he said ma'am our machine do not work after he have gotta my money. So I went some place else and payed more money to get tires balance and they told me they over charged me and that they should have balance my tires. And they had put my tires on my car backwards, so the other place told me to go back and let them correct their mistake. Went back for the second time I said you put my tires on the wrong side and you didn't tell me until after I came back that your machine did not work to balance my tires. I think that was very wrong how they did me. And I will like some or all my money back.Business Response

I had to go to another business to get my tires balance after the young man who said he runs the business told me that they balance machine do not work, after I had drove off and my car was shaking like something was about to come apart, and than when I went to another shop to get my tires balances, the guys at the other shop showed me where they put my tire on the wrong side. Meaning they had the inside of the tire on the outside and I took my car back to them and should it to them and he changed it. But, he never told me about the balance untill I came back and that was after he got my money and than he said it would have cost more money well I said that does not matter I needed my tires balance and he said again well our machine do not work. And than I said to him well you should have told me that before you got my money. I had went to another shop and I have the receipt from what they charge me to get the job done correctly. I mean he should have told me the truth from the start and than the other guy said well everyone makes mistakes. I said well this was my car that I have to drive and it's shaking like something is about to come off. And these were New tires that I order. He was so wrong for taken advantage of me because I was a woman. He new the machine did not work or they didn't behave one. But he asked me do I have cash and I said yes. And I should have known something was wrong than. He should have never taken the job if he did not have the equipment to do the job. For one the business is located at ***** ******* but your website cant seem to find it. They dont speak the truth about their company policy concerning tire repair or checking. Over the phone they say they can fix the problem but in person they state they wont touch it unless you agree to sign a form stating you will purchase a new tire if they cant repair the old one. Most of the time the find a reason not to repair and get you to buy a new one. There are a lot of people that go there unknowingly thinking to get a flat fixed only to find themselves locked in an agreement to purchase a new one or be left stranded. Im sure if the facts about company policy as they state were revealed during the phone consultation many would opt to go elsewhere. Company policies should be stated prior to arrival and not after the fact just to make sales. I would like for them to address this issue and correct it as this has been going on for at 4-5 years at all there locations.Business Response

this is just an attempt to appear to be handling the issue while failing to correct the problem. They are aware of what they claim to be company policy by their own statements so this should be corrected immediately there is no need to look into anything. Customers should be told upfront about company policy and offerings before making arrangements rather than luring them in with false statements. A businesses cant exist unless they represent themselves, company policies and all, as truthfully and upfront with their customers as possible. Obviously employees are trained to learn these policies as every employee I spoke to was aware of them, but yet during phone conversations nothing was mentioned.Business Response

no attempt made to correct the situation and as I sit here in the establishment I witnessed another customer experience exactly what I was referring to as they were stuck having to purchase a new tire because the hole in their tire was too close to the edge. They too were mystified as to why they couldnt get the tire fixed or at least leave with the original tire put back to go elsewhere for a repair. This complaint needs to be brought to the attention of a regional office that dictates policy.Business Response

Date of transaction- May 27th, 2023 bought 4 new wheels from had to be ordered paid in full on that date $1082.26. Rims came in on Friday, June 2, 2023 had the put on my vehicle same date. Noticed on wheel on left driver side was scratch so took the vehicle back on Monday, June 5th. The sales rep that sold the wheels to me looked at it said bring in my old wheel so they could take off the new have it sent back to refinish it. Tuesday returned to the store with old wheel in tow so wheels could be switched. June 8th received a call wheel is back from refinishing bring my vehicle back to change out wheels. Go June 8th the wheel is switched out. Before I leave l look at the wheel advised no we have an issue the wheel is now chipped. First I was told they did not finish it properly however the chip area was not even where the wheel was scratched that is a whole new issue. The wheel looked poorly refinished and scratched. I would like a some or all of my money back.1.) Count the times I have gone back June 2 original time to get tires, June 5th to show them the issue, June 6th to get the new wheel off to be sent out for repair, June 8th to get supposed refinished wheel back on and at some point I will need to go back again in hopes that the newly order wheel is good.2.) Apparently none of the managers/workers Quality check things before putting them on cars or have the purchasing party to do it and i was waiting the entire time these wheels were new out of the box.3.) June 8th they werent going to say anything about the chip and the two people working on the vehicle seen it I am certain they kept wiping it with a rag before backing it out and telling me it was ready.4.) Only after speaking to someone in a red shirt and advising look if I come to get the wheel put on again and its not right I will be bringing my old wheels back in to get the new ones taken off and my old ones back then I was offered to have a new one order. 5.) The manager has called me however the full resolution has not happened as of this email. The main office is giving a blanket response. I would never want to say they responded and I am happy with the business when what was discussed with their manager has fully been resolved. Because people read reviews to choose what business to deal with I will not say the business has resolved anything with that isnt true and it just keeps their rating high yet doesnt fully address the reason the customer had a complaint in the first place. I purchased new tires in 2020 and am being told after three years that there is no warranty on the tires that Ive traveled ****** miles on need to be 100% replaced with no warranty or coverage for new tires. I know this is not the amount of miles that tires should hold up on a car or the dealership should honor some type of warranty to replace tires that are at 3/32 left. *****, terrible customer service said he has no better option for me. On wednesday **** I went to the *********, ***** location to get my tires rotated. ***** refused to rotate my tires because of a little bit of cracking on one tire. Then he told me my rims were rusting. It was seriously just a tiny tiny bit of corrosion, not even rust. He refused to rotate my tires so I demanded my keys back and told him that I would go to a mexican tire shop where all mexicans are working since I can just pay them to rotate my tires without them complaining about a little cracking. Then ***** had the nerve to call me "racist." I am not racist, I LOVE mexicans, they don't give me problems when I want to rotate my tires. So yes, I'll go to a smaller tire shop where mexicans are working and get my tires rotated there. I will NEVER go to any Discount Tire Co ever again. Oh and just because I drive a ****** doesn't mean I'm stupid.I want ****** to have disciplinary action, even termination. I jacked up my car and removed tire at great stress and trouble in the heat today. Took tire to discount tires, who I had called first to ask if they could repair my tire without the car. They said yes. ******* greeted me at desk and said I looked very nice today. Discount tires located at *****************************************************************************. He looked me and tire up in computer system. *********, asked what tire it was: front drivers. He took my phone number to call when ready. He took tire and called two minutes later to say tire was irreparable due to 3 inch crack/hole in side wall. I begged him to try to fix it, he refused, said I had warranty prorated credit towards a new tire and could get it for $74.95. I again begged him to try to fix it, but he refused saying I could get a new tire for$74.95 under warranty. I took tire to big O tires after I inspected the tire carefully and found no holes or crack in sidewall. They found no cracks nor holes in sidewall and said tac hole in tred could be repaired. I had taken car in in December 2022 and asked to trade in front tires on warranty, they said all four tires needed to be replaced at that time and said I had NO warranty for prorated credit on any tires, though they are just over a year old. I felt they were being dishonest with me, but didn't know where to turn at that time. Now they say I do have an warranty credit. I hindered my travel/driving in winter, due to feeling unsafe on tires.Business Response

I went to Discount Tire in early April to address a tire that was slowly going flat. They had to order in a tire, but offered a free balancing/rotation service to me which I accepted.The tire would not arrive until the following week, and when I got home after the balancing/rotation I noticed that one center cap for the wheel was missing and another was cracked in multiple places. When I came back to have the tire replaced I alerted the guy who helped me who initially denied his tech did anything, then acknowledged it.When I left I was told that Discount Tire (this is the ********* location on Coast in **************) was ordering in two replacement center caps and they'd be in within a week and they would call me.They did not call. A few days after the week had passed I called in and was told the caps had not arrived and would be another week. I waited another week and a few days (no call back) before I reached out again. I was told that the caps had not been ordered, and I'd have to call back the next day to talk to the manager, Mo.I called back the next day and Mo was not there, so I spoke with ****. I was told *I* could order the caps with my own money and then Discount Tire would compensate me after the fact instead of them handling this issue. Again, zero action on their part after their tech destroyed my property, covered it up, denied it, then failed to get a replacement.I have yet to hear back from the store manager.I did call ****** for pricing on the center caps - they are $97 each before tax, so Discount Tire destroyed over $200 worth of my property and has REFUSED to do anything about it.Business Response

On 4-22-23, I purchased tires from Discount Tire in **********, ********. I was originally going to go through ******** but Discount Tire has always been great to me. I have included the *** of the purchase below in an attachment. I also bought new lug nuts from Discount tire for all 4 wheels as they reported they needed replaced and for whatever reason a stud was stripped on my ******** Discount gave me a voucher through Brakes Plus to do the repair. I still have no repair and my car sits with a stripped stud. I went to Brakes Plus on ************* right after the tires were on. They were full and unable to do the service. I requested to go to Brakes Plus on *****. and dropped the car off same day. They did not have the stud. They said it will need to come from the dealer. I am pretty sure that the car has been here twice now and the dealer part stud was the wrong one. Reports indicated that it needs to come from ***** Still no stud still, unable to drive my car with a stud stripped for safety reasons and I am pretty frustrated. I called Discount Tire where I got the tires from and they report nothing they can do. The customer issue is still under that umbrella, and I have not been made whole. I want a ****** gift card or check as the tires were paid and paid in full of Discount Credit and I want my car fixedIIIIIIIIII I feel that I have been not urgent enough of a customer to get this completed. Purchase was on 4/22/23 and yet here we are!! Its going on a month. I should be so special to have special studs on a 2015 ******* MKC!!!!Business Response

I do not accept the response as more has come out. First, Blakes Plus on ***** ************- **** especially needs a call from Discount Tire directly. They did find and replace the stud. However since I bought new Lug nuts for the care 25 of them for each rim they did not have a replacement only to find out more that if I would have driven this car as intended to another state, I would not have the key to the lug nuts that I purchased as NO ONE TOLD ME THAT THESE LUG NUTS NEEDED A SPECIAL KEY TO UNLOCK THEM. I would have been stranded. The cod is 19 for the store off *************. So I had to drive to a nearby Discount Tire to get that fixed in ******, ********. This issue and ordeal has been troubling as i have never had this issue with Discount Tire and have been using them since around **** for my cars. I am still requesting that $100,00 be return to me by check or **** card and DT needs to call this owner at Brakes Plus and pay him as he was given a voucher.
