Tire Discount at ******************************************************************** installed two new Continental tires on my Lexus SC430 on May 11/22. During the process of installation, they broke the two Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors {****) and replaced one with a non-compatible ****. They did not inform me of the damage. As soon as I took the car, the **** light was flashing and peeping 4 to 5 times every 3 minutes. I took the car back to Discount Tire. Two of their technicians tried to reprogram the sensor several times for about 45 minutes, but it did not work, hence they instructed me to take the car to the dealer to fix the problem with the promise that they would reimburse whatsoever cost is incurred. I resisted driving 45 miles to get to a dealer from ************ to *********. But they convinced me that that was my only option. So, I took the care to the Dealer on May 12th. The dealer told me that it would cost $189.00 to diagnose the problem. Soon, the dealer service advisor brought a picture depicting the wrong sensor versus the right one. He gave an estimate of $1050.79 for the two **** to be installed. I called Discount Tire immediately and spoke to ***** who claimed to be one of the assistant managers. He told me to bring the car back to Discount Tire and promised to reimburse the $189.00 diagnostic fees. I was at Discount Tire at 8:10 am Saturday morning. ***** spoke with me and promised to get the care in soonest. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I went to check and spoke with ******. I had to narrate the story all over again. ****** made a copy of the receipt of $189 from the dealer and also the complete page of estimates. He did not refund a dime. I even asked him several times, but he just ignored me. He went to the car to get some information about the car and came back to make a phone call to some parts store, I assume. He then told me that, they could not figure out the parts number, hence they will need to pull in my car again and take a look at the ****. But I gave ****** a copy of the Dealers estimates with the part correct part numbers: LE42607-33021 and LE42607-3304. Even though ****** promised me that my car would be pulled in right away, he never did. After waiting for another 30 minutes, realizing that Discount Tire was playing a game of wasting my time and emotion and was not sincerely committed to fixing the problems, I requested for my car key and pulled out. Then I got a call from ***** who claimed to be the store manager. I returned to the parking lot hoping that, I would meet a level-headed manager with excellent commitment to customer satisfaction and with skillful business acumen. He failed woefully. He was arrogant, non-caring, and not appreciating the damage they have done to my car. He vigorously shifted the blame to me for not investing more wasted time in their shop. When I pointed out to him that, many customers on **** pointed out the fact that they waste peoples time, he said: I disagree with them! I asked if had any proposed solution, he replied: I am just trying to help you. I tutored him, and he was trying to fix the problem they created. He ranks as the worst service manager, that I had ever dealt with. No customer should ever be subjected to such nasty treatment. Tomorrow is Sunday, this guy will probably be one of the elders in his church praying for abused and cheated people worldwide. *****, What would ****** doBusiness Response

I bought new tires. The technician left my tires with improper inflation and imbalanced. At 8AM 5/9/2023, I contacted the local store I purchased from, and asked for ******. He said ****** was no longer the manager. I was told by ******************* he is the manager, starting today. I described my issues, **** said he would be at store all day. When I got to the store at 9AM the counter person (a young man of color) said **** had left and could not say when he would return. I asked for the manager to call me. I called the corporate complaint ************** and relayed this experience. I asked the cust serv, Who is my local store manager. He advised me the store manager is listed as ******. He said he would contact the regional office with my complaint and contact the store also. I want to know who my store manager is at ****************************************************. I want my store manager to contact me to fix my matter and I want a corporate contact in case the ball gets dropped again. I have 2 cars and drive few miles on my Cadillac or I would have noticed sooner.Business Response

I drove over a nail on the road that got stuck in my left-rear tire. I went back to Discount Tire, where I had all my four tires fully replaced and installed back in 2018, as Discount Tire provides free repairs on all of their tires. When they examined the tire in question, they discovered the two of the studs holding the tire in place were seized, and that the tire cannot be removed for repair purposes as a result. When I asked how this might have happened, they said that most likely the studs were over torqued when the tires were installed, and openly admitted that this was their fault when originally installed these tires. Since I never got my tires rotated or serviced after the initial installation, there is no doubt that the reason for this issue was due to Discount Tire's mistake. Discount tire only deals with tire repair, nothing else, and as a result referred me to a local shop in town to get those two studs replaced. The cost of the repair was $324.55 (receipt attached), and I would ask Discount Tire to pay for this repair, since they clearly are the ones at fault for me having to go through this. Since I already paid the shop directly, I would ask for a check refund mailed to me by Discount Tire.Lastly, I would just like to add how concerning it was to learn about this mistake. Imagine I would have had a flat tire in the middle of somewhere, and would not even been able to change my tire and put on a spare, since I would not have been able to remove my tire due to these seized studs. This could have gone a lot worse, and all due to a mistake that could and should have been avoided. This is all in addition to the added stress that this has caused me, the time it took me to get the car fixed, as well as the time I wasn't able to use my car and had to use other means of transportation, costing me even more time. I could be asking for a lot more than just the cost of the repair, but honestly would really just want to get this whole thing over with.Business Response

I went to the Broke Arrow, OK store on 02/24/2023 at 2:22 pm (Invoice # *******) to get two tires (rear) for my 2015 Camaro. When I entered the store, they wanted me to pay for the tires upfront which I understand but I had to remind the salesperson that since my previous set of tires was from the same Discount tire store, they should prorate the old tires to give me discount. This is what happened.1) *** salesperson did NOT use the tread depth guage to measure the tread depth on my old tire.2) Although the old tires had ****** thousand miles warranty the salesperson prorated it based on ****** miles. *** reason he gave me was since tires on Camaro can't be "rotated" he had to cut the warranty miles by half. This resulted in discount of only $16.94 per tire (because of the proration).I have been a customer of ********************* for years and this is the first time I experienced a) the salesperson not using the tread depth gauge.b) the warranty miles cut in half for proration.Business Response

I when to the store near me on ****************** in ******* ***** and purchased two tires in December of 2023, They did not have the tires available, but I paid for them because they informed me that they would have them within two days. I went to have the tires installed in February, I stayed in the lobby of the store for 5 hours and had to leave because they were so slow and did not have time to install the new tired before the store daily closure,I returned the next day, spent the same amount of time at the store, and remained after closure time. At about 6:45 an employee notified me that the two tires I purchased were unavailable and all along I was informed the day before that he had the tires in stock. They offered tires of a different brand which I accepted because I just wanted to leave this place where customers are not treated right. When my car was returned to me I examined my wheel covers and noticed that they were damaged, the employees who worked on the car damaged my wheel covers because they were ******* to have the job completed. I notified the assistant manager who apologized and asked me if I wanted a replacement. I declined the offer. The next day the store manager called me informing me that he would replace all four hub caps and give me 2 brand new tires so I could have the same tires on my car. I told him that I only needed the 2 hub caps that they damaged and never notified me. One of the hub caps flew away not long after I left their parking lot that day. It's been two months and I have never heard from the manager when he told me he would call me back in a week, I need those guys to pay me for my hubcaps. Theses people at this store don't care.I will have to place this incident on all social media outlets including ****** reviewBusiness Response

I took my car to Discount Tire in ************ ** and purchased 4 new tires on Saturday April 22, 2023. I didn't drive my car for a few days. Then on April 26, 2023, when I went to drive my car the rear tire was flat. It should not have been these are brand new tires. I went back to Discount tire and was told my Rim is now cracked. Then they acted like I was stupid and didn't know anything and advised me that it was my fault the rim was cracked and i must have hit a pothole in their driveway on the way out!?!? First no I didn't, Second, if my why don't they just take responsibility for the error of what they did?!?! They broke my RIM!!!!In addition, don't talk down to someone just because they are a 19 year old female!!Business Response

SCAM ARTISTS!! I took my jeep to this location on 04/26/2023 to get a small s**** removed from my rear tire. After waiting for 1 HOUR, a technician comes to me and says, "we have some bad news". APPARENTLY, they were unable to remove the s**** because of where it was located in the tire and then proceeded to advise me that I am going to have to get a NEW TIRE!!! $300!!! I told them to put my tire back on my jeep WITH THE ***** IN IT!! I drove 10 minutes to another company and they were able to remove the s**** and patch my tire in 5 minutes. It only costs me $15!!I went back to Discount Tire because I needed someone to explain to me this SCAM they are running! Of course, the manager stood there with no real explanation and a dumb look on his face trying to direct me to a "tire repair guidelines" sign posted in their lobby. After he couldn't come up with something other than what is scripted, he says, "well it's company policy". Its complete HORSE MANURE is what it is and if this is how DISCOUNT TIRES runs their business, I want no parts of it!I am simply filing this complaint because in my opinion, Discount Tires is preying on those whom they think are ill informed and don't know any better. How many customers have fallen for this "company policy"? How much revenue have they generated? (rhetorical question)? In researching their website, the "tire repair guidelines" is posted so deep into their website, no one would pay attention to it.Business Response

4/27/23 - transaction date ******* - invoice # $280.15 - amount paid My Dad, *******************, needed tires. The store located at ***************** NE, ***********, ** ***** had the tires in stock. My father, *******************, lives 120 miles away so he asked if he could pay for the tires over the phone and have his driver pick them up, they told us no and we had to go in person. My Husband and I went in and paid for the tires, let them know we have a driver coming to pick the tires up in less than 1 hour.. EVERYTHING WAS OK! I was told that would be fine.. I later got a call from my dad saying they would not release the tires to his driver. Soon after, the manager, ****** called me and said that they WERE not going to release the tires because my name on card and my dads name on ** account does not match. He then proceeded in a rude tone to tell me that HE WAS GIVING ME A REFUND and THAT I NEEDED TO GO BACK TO THE STORE TO PAY FOR THE ***** IF I WANTED THEM TO RELEASE THE **** TO MY DADS DRIVER. I told him I WAS NOT GOING BACK IN to pay and that he needed to NOT REFUND me and give the tires to my driver because it was their fault they didnt catch THEIR mistake. I told him that they were the ones that messed up and he hung up on me.. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! My dad called me back 10 minutes later and told me that the ** workers loaded his driver up with the tires. GREAT! I assumed ****** came to his senses... I have a 2010 *** 328i, it had almost brand new tires with less than **** miles on them installed at America's tire about a year ago, last month I witnessed a tire bulge, I went back to them and they did not want to cover the cost saying it was road damaged, while the tire literally developed a bulge while the car was parked, the tire was losing air within one minute of airing it up and it was going back to 4 psi, I replaced this tire from them about a month ago, and I am now finding out that the tire they gave is defective, it started making weird noises at highway speeds which is not safe at all. I would like a refund for the tire I installed. note: the name on the receipt is the old owner name since the car was registered at America's tire with his email. I can provide my payment info to show that I paid for it.Business Response
