Yesterday, I went to the Discount Tire located at ***********************************************************************************. My concerns regarding a leak in my tire were completely ignored. Just because I am woman that does not mean that I am clueless about cares and my concerns are valid as a leaking tire can lead to accidents & a blowout. I told everyone that I spoke to that my front right passenger tire had a leak. On Saturday, the psi was at 15, I filled it to 30 psi then on Sunday afternoon, it was down to 22 psi. I filled the tire back up to 33 psi on Sunday afternoon and by the next day it was down to 25 psi. The technician said that the low psi could be caused by the weather which makes no sense because only 1 of my tires was consistently losing air. They claimed that they looked at my tire and didn't find anything which I highly doubt seeing as I was only there for 20 minutes and they did a tire rotation. I also did not appreciate how the associates tried to sell me a new tire when I purchased my tires from discount tire in 2019 so any replacements should be covered. I expect Discount Tire to do their job and to provide a replacement tire as my existing tire clearly has a leak.Business Response

I purchased a set of tires online using Discount Tires website which stated you could save up to 30% of your time vs purchasing in store. I placed the order on March 7, 2023 and setup install for 3/11/23. I received a phone call from **** on 3/10/23 saying tires were delayed and I would be contacted once tires arrived. On 3/14/23 I received email saying tires had arrived so I called the store to make an install appointment on 3/17/23. On 3/15/23 I received an email saying my order was cancelled but was told by **** not to worry about it that it was probably just internal computer error. I went to their location on 3/17/23 for tire install and I was informed by **** that the entire order had indeed been canceled and I would have to pay the entire price of the order again to have tires installed. The price of the order is $******* which I could not do. The funds for the tires have been taken out of my bank account I verified with BoA that the funds were removed from my account. Long story short the funds of ******* have been removed from my account by Discount tire and whatever they did on their end to cancel the order did not work correctly and did not return my funds to my bank account. Money for the order I placed has been processing since 3/7/23. I need Discount Tire to A. Complete the cancellation on their end. B. Complete the transaction so I can dispute with ***. Terrible customer service! This morning, the ********************** in *****, ***** did over $900 in damage to my car, by cross threading a lug bolt into the right rear hub, so much so that the hub needs to be replaced. I took my car to the dealer for an estimate right away. Later that afternoon, I contacted the Discount Tire corporate office in **********, Arizona to speak with the claims department, and get the repairs scheduled, and set up direct payment. I was told that I cannot call in to speak with anyone in the claims department, and that I must wait until they contact me. TERRIBLE POLICY!!! Once this issue gets resolved, I will never do business with Discount Tire ever again. I had been a customer for over 20 years, and have had a few issues that the local store stood by and took care of, but this corporate policy is unacceptable! Publish your claims department phone number so that we can communicate and get the damage caused by your employee at your store repaired on our timeline, not yours. EPIC FAIL!Business Response

March 2, 2023.*******, the manager at Discount Tire refused to rotate the tires on my daughters ***** Accord.He stated the front tires were at 3/32 Inch tread and the rear at 4/32 Tread depth. I purchased four tires for my 2006 ****** Matrix at the Americas Tire Store in ******** California mid 2021 with an outstanding warranty. I have opted to utilize that warranty on two occasions. Most recently one of the tires appears to have lost air. Due to our age, physical condition of my partner and myself, and the terrestrial rains, I opted to go to ******** Tires in ******** for tire maintenance and rotation. On Tuesday February 28, I went to the ******** location to learn fourteen cars ahead of me and would be out after 6:30 pm which would not work with my schedule. The attendant offered an appointment at 3 pm yesterday March 2, 2023.My car was attended to at approximately 3:40 pm. I waited in the showroom and positioned myself to see the maintenance. The car was moved out of the bay and I waited for quite sometime and finally was able to locate my car. As I have a disability, the attendant found my car brought it to me. Around 4:30 pm, two attendants stopped me as I was driving off the lot. I was outraged to learn they were not able to service my car due to a lug nut issue. Apparently, ****** called my home and when there was no answer, moved my car out of the bay. They offered to work me in or reschedule which meant returning for a third time. Note, I was sitting in the waiting area the whole time and no one attempted to contact me. During that time, it was most unpleasant as there were complaining obnoxious customers. In addition, there was music glaringly loud from ************.I am most annoyed how this was handled to the point I was feeling nauseated. I feel this was a ploy to recoup for a no charge warranty service. I want to be compensated for my inconvenience, exercise my warranty in a manner other than returning to such a horrible experience at ******** Tires ********.Business Response

I have yet to hear from this company. What I can tell you is that I have sought a second opinion and the lug nut situation they raise is unfounded. The tires have since been rotated with no problem removing or replacing the tires/lug nuts. As this service was complimentary due to a warranty feature, it appears staff is trying to recoup a payment. I await their response.Initial Complaint

Went for tire change and brought my own new TPMS sensors. Nothing was wrong with the old ones. I had specifically asked the store to keep all four old ones just in case the new ones did not work. The new ones did not work, unfortunately. I also called DT the SAME DAY (2/18, Saturday). The store confirmed they will keep them. I went back to them 2/20 but the Manager was off that day so they asked me to come by next day hoping they would still have the old sensors. On 2/21, they confirmed they threw the sensors away and even attempted to replace them with after market sensors which obviously did not work. Even the documentation says I asked them to keep the old ones and they would replace with new ones if they can't find the old ones. Now, I have to go to *** Dealership where the sensors cost $90 each times four + labor $80 each times four which totals up to $680 before taxes. DT asked me to file a claim and Fleet response calls me to discuss the claim. Per Fleet, the store is giving a completely different story and claiming that I did not ask them to keep the sensors. That is NOT true. If this is true, why would they even attempt to replace the sensors TWICE? It is because they know it's their fault. This is not cool and not expected from Discount Tire. We love the service and all but this is deceptive. **************** responded that a $200 check will be mailed but that does not cover the cost of TPMS installation from the dealership which is costing me $680 + taxes. I need the balance to be refunded or provide me with a permanent credit towards future purchase of tires from DT. $200 does not cover the cost of TPMS installation and programming that the dealership is charging me. I need to be credit $500 towards in ways of cash or store credit. I have reported the same to DT corporate and have written a letter to the executive as well. I want to continue doing business with DT but this needs to be resolved as committed, especially when the fault was admitted.Business Response

I arrived at Discount Tire on February 24 to have some tires replaced. they broke a s stud and left one spinning and could not fix the issue they caused. I had to go to another car repair shop on February 25 and paid over $1000 to fix their mistake. I went to get a tire rotation. I left after it was done and went home got out of my truck and noticed the wheel cap was not there. I called them and they tried telling me that I didnt have one when I showed up which was a lie. They then told me they would order me a new one and call me in a couple days. They never called so I called them back and they said they would get back with me and still never did. Very unprofessional service!!
