I purchased new tires a little over a year ago for one of my vehicles. The tires have a ****** mi warranty and we had only put ****** mi on them. This past summer, I went in for a flat repair and ask them to balance and rotate the tires, as included with the tire package that I purchased. They refused to rotate the tires because the front tires were worn past the safe threshold. They also refused to honor the warranty and replace the tires because they stated we had not rotated the tires since they were new. Considering they were not significantly passed rotation mileage, this seems like a scam to get out of paying for a warranty on shoddy tires. They told me that they we're going to try to get the manufacturer to warranty the tires instead of discount tire directly warrantying them. I've been going back and forth on this subject for several months now where nobody will return my calls. I have since approached several other companies for quotes on new tires and ask them about their warranties. Every single one of them has said if the tire fails within the warranty period for any reason they are replaced as long as a mechanical failure of the car did not contribute to their failure.This is my last attempt to get discount tire to make good on the warranty that they sold me when I purchased the tires.Business Response

11/17/2022 at 8:35 took my car to Discount Tire due to a couple of tires losing air pressure. At 9:45 am they informed me they had found a nail in the tire and patched for me. When I pulled out of the parking lot something wasn't right - it felt like my tires were going to fall off the car so I went around the block and pulled back in and let them know. They checked lug nuts and tire pressure and told me everything looked good. I told them that I came in with a tire issue and was leaving with an issue I didn't have when I drove in - so they jacked up the car with me in it and pulled the tire off and the young man doing this - ************************* gasped and went and brought back a couple of Managers. Manager said it looked like a tie rod issue but that wasn't something they did. I informed him that I didn't have a tie rod issue when I brought it in - only a tire with low air pressure. ***** stated that I could take it to ******************** that they worked with them often and if there was a problem they could file a claim for me. I let him know that I would take it to a mechanic I trusted at *********** and get back with him. I went straight to *********** and told them what happened and before I could finish my story he said tie rods - they break them all the time but no use fighting them - they will just tell you that you have an old vehicle. They also found an issue with the lower control arm on passenger side - Total for repairs is $635. I called ***** he said his Manager **** would file a claim for me and I should hear from them in a couple of days. ****** at ************** called me on 11/30 and left me a message at 12:54 pm. I called back same day and I have attempted 6 times to connect with them and no response. I was advised by the mechanic to not drive the car because the outer tie rods were bad on both the drivers side and passenger side and the car isn't safe, so I've been without transportation since 11/17/22.Business Response

If you are a single women do not go to this discount tire on *************. I had to wait 4.5 hours for them to patch 1 tire. Management does not know how to manage . The people you have to talk to at the front ********** to women with no respect. The guy told me go home. We will call you when your cars ready. I told him I live 45 miles away I can't go home. He told me well enjoy your stay. What a smart a** No brains in that store . Guys come in oh sir please have some patience we will get to you soon . I wanted to say really I been here for over 3.5 hours my car hasn't moved. The they take people car later at not that just walk in. My cars still sitting where I left it. Horrible place. Brought My Vehicle in for service 12/05/22 for a balance and rotations My vehicles wheels were in pristine condition and they managed to damage and destroy 2 of my hub caps. I expect my vehicle to be returned to me the way I brought it into the shop this is $100 worth of damage to my vehicle. I came to this location on Nov 30th. I had a piece of metal in my driver side rear tire. The sales associate told me because of the location of the metal I needed to purchase a new tire because they could not repair it. He asked me if I wanted to the same tire that I had on my car or if I wanted one that was close to it that they had it stock. The tire in stock had a different tread which he said would effect how my vehicle drove. So I decided that I wanted the exact same tire that was on my car. It was $340 he said come back after 4 so they could order my tire. I returned at 4 with my 7 year old son to get my tire replaced. I checked in told the gentleman which tire it was. They called my name and said vehicle was ready. Me and my son walked outside as the gentleman drove my vehicle out, as he is driving it out I could see the big piece of metal still in my tire! He handed me my keys and said you all set. I told him you didn't change the right tire! The piece of metal was towards the bottom of the tire along the ground so he couldn't see it. I told him get back in and drive it forward a little and you will see the big piece of metal, which he did. He said oh I'm sorry let me take it back in the bay and have them fix it. When the blonde gentleman drove it back out the tire that was on my car did not look or match my other tires. I expressed that it didn't match. He said mam this is your tire. I disagreed and asked to speak with a manager. He said I am a manager and this is for tire. I asked to see where all the tires are kept he showed me inside the bay which was just a pile of tires. I could see my tire that had a piece of metal but I asked him, why doesn't this tire match my other tires it looks old and worn and the lettering on the tire didn't match. He just continued to tell me it was my tire. I asked to speak with someone above him. This is when assistant manager *********************** got involved and he explained they put the tire on inside out.Business Response

Complaint about ************* store. Too many things went wrong with a simple tire rotation:1. Broken stud on left front during the tire rotation.2. Flat tire with sidewall damage requiring the use of the space saver spare.3. Broken stud on right front during the removal of the spare or replacement of the damaged tire.The store manager, ****, did arrange for free replacement of the broken stud on the left front and a replacement tire for the one with sidewall damage. Another manager named *** refused to compensate for the replacement of the broken stud on the right front. He was rude and argumentative. He and his staff claimed it was caused by me incorrectly threading the lug nut which is not possible since all 5 lug nuts were hand tightened, I did not employ an impact wrench, only my fingers and the lug wrench that came with the car. The stud was broken during the servicing in their bay by their staff using a pneumatic impact wrench.We appreciate the store manager's support for the 2 initial problems, but will take our business elsewhere in the future.Business Response

I got my tires replaced at the Discount Tire location at *************************************** in June 2020. I spent 75 dollars per tire plus rims (order number *********). I noticed that the tire pressure light was always on after I got my tires replaced. I went back to Discount Tire multiple times to get that looked at and they always told me it was a ********** issue. They would just reset the button but it would always come back on in a few minutes. I just got used to it. About three months ago, in September 2022, I went in to get my brakes checked at a ******************* store in ******, **********. They told me my brakes were fine but my front tires were absolutely shredded and needed to be replaced ASAP. They were almost at the point of being flat so I bought new tires. The mechanic came out shortly after starting and told me the front tires were two different sizes and offered me a look. I said yes and they definitely were two different sizes. I took pictures and she wrote this up in her report. Obviously, I was very upset by this so I called Discount Tire and asked them how they planned on making this up to me. They referred me to fleet support (Claim #*******) and told me to wait for a call. I never got a call. I started calling them multiple times for a week until finally my assigned representative ********************************* called me back, told me I just had to wait, deflected any blame from himself and from the company, and hung up on me when I asked for a timeline for how long it will take to get a refund for my two front tires. This was in October. I have heard nothing back from Discount Tire since then and every attempt I have made to make contact with a representative has gone unanswered. I just want a refund for my front two tires. I really don't think I am asking for too much when they are the ones who installed the wrong sized tire, thus causing my front tires' lifespan to become much shorter than they should have been.Business Response

On August 22, 2022, I went to the Discount Tire due to a flat tire for the front passenger side. At the time my rear passenger side tire was leaking air and I was unsure why. I asked discount tire to check the tire as it was creating an unsafe situation for my pregnant wife and two kids. Discount Tire advised me that they would remove the tire and have it checked. Upon return I was a advised that there was no issue with the tire and that they simple aired it back up. After a week or the air pressure began dropping again. Based on the advice of the experts I take any issue with it. I would just regularly put air in the tire until one day I came home from dropping out children off with a completely flat tire. Upon bringing it in Discount Tire on December 5, 2022, my wife was advised they would be unable to air up the tire for fear of damage and they she would need to replace it. This was done without checking the tire or removing it. I came to the discount tire at which point they actually removed the tire to discover a nail in a unrepairable place. Per the tech is was obvious. He had no explanation as to why they didnt identify the issue on the previous visit before putting my family in danger for multiple months. I feel as though they should be responsible for the replacement for failing to complete the service they advised they would and endangering my wife and children as this is her main mode of transportation. This also put unnecessary wear on the new tire I purchased on my initial visit. A 3 month old tire was already registering at an 8.Business Response

I was told no labor would be charged since the did not address this is a when changing the tires. My warning check air in tires was going off after they installed new tires. I was told I need to drive the car for sensor's to recalibrate. I booked appointment for 4 pm for them to fix this issue I arrived at 3:30pm and did not leave until 6pm. ** was told know charged for labor, they charged me $6i was over charged for tire sensor's! I showed sales person the cost of $30 was told they would match it. I should of been $30.00 per tire, Total chargers should of been $120 dollars plus tax. They did not check my door were it told them the *** they filled them wrong than brought my car to me stating they filled it to 49 *** which is very dangerous. I also told the sales person to make sure the air was correct. It came to me 49***. I tried to show the tech on my door were it showed 39***. He said I'll fix it. I took my car to check air pressure in my tires. They told me I needed 2 replaced. I purchased 2 tires and they put them on my vehicle. When fiished, they handed me my car back. As I drove away I noticed all the warning lights were on on my dash and my car started shaking. I went back right away, as prior to handing the car over to them to change the tires, I had no car problems or dash lights on (except tire light). They managed to get tire light off and said the lights and shaking would probably go off after driving a bit and, if not, to come back. Nothing changed after driving it for a day so I went back the next night. At this point they looked at the car and said all was fine but sometimes in Lexus and Toyotas the sensors can end up mixed up after using some tool they utilze and that to fix it I could go to the neighboring garage to have them run another sensor device on it. So I did that the 3rd night and it didn't change anything. Now they are saying they cannot do anything else. I entered this establishment with a perfectly functioning car (with a low tire) and exited with a shaking car with most all warning lights on. My car is not safe and I need them to take responsibility and fix it asap.Business Response
