***************************** checked in at Discount Tire at **** on 11/30/22 at the store location: **************************************************************. Upon arrival, a technician did not go out to her car with her to inspect the tire, to determine if it could be patched or would have to be replaced, or to confirm they had her tire in stock. She was told she would have to wait as a walk-in. She waited until 11:11, over three hours for them to take her car in. They then told her they didn't have her tire in stock after putting on a damaged donut spare that came with her vehicle OEM. They told her they would have to order the tire and she would have to come back in three days. She was not presented with any other option. ******** called me crying multiple times due to how the store manager spoke to her and made her feel threatened. She also made it clear that she did not feel safe leaving on the old donut spare. The store technicians and specifically the store manager were being grossly negligent dismissing the flustered presentation of ******** as well as her statements of feeling unsafe. I called the store and made it clear to the store manager that he is not perpetuating proper customer service and presenting her with options. He is being grossly negligent. I received a call from my wife a few minutes later that the store manager approached her aggressively attempting to be physically intimidating towards her. He spoke to ******** extremely aggressively to the point that she was crying in the store. When she tried to verbally defend herself the store manager threateningly and aggressively stated, "Do not interrupt me!" to ********, a customer. Aside from the displayed gross negligence for customer safety and satisfaction, the misogynistic, threatening, and gendered discriminatory actions of the store manager both verbally and physically warrant accountability, and an official apology from discount tire to *****************************. There is no excuse for such egregious behavior.Business Response

To whom it may concern,
The response received from the business does not warrant a resolved complaint. There was no mention of accountability for the store manager, nor was there an official apology to ********, nor was there a reimbursement for her wasted time. The message states that they will look into the matter. I will patiently wait for a resolution to be presented after they "look into it." Looking into it, does not warrant a resolved complaint. I am looking forward to hearing from Discount Tire in regard to accountability for the employees actions and an apology to ******** at the absolute minimum.

I purchased a set of 4 wheels from my local Discount Tire Store (**** ************ ********, ** *****) in January of 2022. I did not like the feel of the tire with the spacers put on nor the look. I paid for the staff to take them back off and put my stock tires back on. My truck sold and I did not want to ride the vehicle with the wheels like that or the individual who was buying the truck to have to ride on those wheels. Once the wheels were taken off, I'm a coach so I stored them until my football season was over. I went to the store to make the return on November 29 in accordance with Discount Tire's Return Policy which is, "If ever youre not satisfied with your purchase, bring it back and we will make it right. That is our promise. At Discount Tire, we stand behind our products and services and want you to be completely satisfied with every item you purchase." There are no time limits and there are no caveats about only if the tires or wheels have not been mounted. That's what has kept me a customer for over 15 years and why I have a credit card with the company. The employees and the manager, *****, denied the return due to the wheels already being "mounted." Every return I've ever made has been after the wheels or tires have been mounted and I've never had an issue. I called the corporate office on Nov 30 and they told me that they would have the area vice president reach out to me but reiterated that they couldn't give me a guarantee due to the wheels being mounted. As I told them, that's never been an issue before and to please tell me where in the return policy where it says that returns are only accepted if the tires or wheels have not been mounted. They couldn't because it's not in there. I want a refund on my wheels ASAP. I honestly can't believe that Discount Tire is treating a loyal customer like this. I used to think they were the Chick-Fil-A of the tire business. Sad to see customer service is no longer paramount.Business Response

On 11/19/2022 I took my car to discount tires to replace two tires, they switched my tires around [all tires were purchased at discount tires), they changed the tires in less than 20 minutes which is unusual time, when I left I noticed the light was still on (the tire light). I brought it back right away and the guy told me that sensor was out and it normally happens and I can bring it back Monday and then they will look at it. So Monday I went there and the guy looked at it and now he said all 3 sensors are out, I asked how much to replace them and he said its 60 dollars each which means I pay 180 because they broke my sensors.I reached out to **** who was extremely nice and promised someone will call back in 2 days, I waited more than a week and a half and no one cares. I just want people to be aware of how they treat the customers. And I have had over 20 cars in my lifetime and have never had any problems with sensors ever.Business Response

This review pertains to the Discount Tire - ******, ***** STORE on *********************************. Paid for four (4) 'new' tires on my wife's 2021 ***** Accord Hybrid. Total cost was $1535.73. My wife took the car for the installation and then came home after work and we discovered that the 'new' tires they installed WERE OLDER THAN HER CAR. That's right, Discount Tire in ****** on ******** installed four 'new' tires that were already more than 2 1/2 years old! DOT code on the sidewall of '2024' which is **** of 2020. There is NO EXCUSE for installing a tire that old; selling a tire that old as new; or putting her at risk by selling her a tire already 2 1/2 years old.Business Response

On 11/23/22 I brought my vehicle to this location for a tire repair as I had a s**** embedded in my back passenger-side tire. I left the car & received a call within an hour letting me know the s**** was removed, but they were unable to repair the tire so they installed the spare tire. They also did not have any of the same tire in stock at that time for replacement. My husband picked up the car planning to plug the punctured tire & re-install it so we could at least have a full size tire to drive on during the Thanksgiving holidays. He returned home & found only my wheel in the back of the car, no tire. He called the *************** proceeded to tell him they were sorry but they shredded it. We were never once asked what we wanted to do with our tire, they just threw it away.Business Response

I took my vehicle to Discount tire at, ***************************************************** for a tire replacement. The service was done but the employees Damaged my vehicle. Reported the damage to the store Manager. A claim was filed with discount tire insurance. The insurance company denied any responsibility with the damage and closed my case with no resolution. I brought a new set of 4 tires from discount tire approximately 10 months ago. They recommended pathfinders. I paid almost$600. I heard noise issues soon after. I came back in they rebalanced them. I went back for the second appointment. After rebalancing and inspection. I was told by **************** a manager, that one was ******* and one was separating. He said this happens all the time with pathfinders. He quoted me a price of $380 for a replacement pair of another brand. My truck is a ****** frontier 2016. Which I brought in early 2017 new still on the lot. When the tires wore out I went to discount tire for new ones. My truck now sounds like a wagon with wooden wheels. I paid almost$600 and within 2k miles I had to go back, and have been trying to work this out since. I feel I have been totally misled by them. I would even go as far as saying I've been ripped off by discount tire. I just want to resolve this issue and move on.Business Response

The employees and management in this location are utterly incompetent. No customer service whatsoever or any customer skills. . Worst location to go. I bought a set of tires about 5 month ago, while my car was still being rebuild and on **** stands. Explained to the sales person I was working with. Told him i had $750 budget but need good quality tires. He said cannot find anything under $1000 or a set of budget tires for about $502.Fast forward 4-5 months and I've driven the car for about 3 weeks about 300 mile now and the tires are terrible, noise and rough. Went back to the store, ran in to desk monkey named ****, who was more interested in selling me a set of $800-$1000 tires rather then helping. He flat out refused to help. Said the person that sold me the tires is no longer there and he cannot a d cannot honor what was promised or was not, in short calling me a liar. What i was promised was, once the car is road worthy and if the tires are bad or not what was explained, to bring them back and upgrade. Was very rude, did not listen or even tried to provide help. Only interested in making a new sale. On a side note, told me they can give me $100 for my tires, or pretty much get lost. Also my wait time strangely went from 45 minutes to 2 hours and 45 min.Went to Just Tires down the road, paid $49 and rotated and balanced in under 45 min.Business Response

On 11/16/22 at 1:20 pm I was getting my **** GMC truck two front tires replaced. I asked the salesperson #7 ************* to save the tires and put them in the bed of my truck. He acknowledged what I said and said it's about an hour wait. When the changing of tires was finished they called my name, gave me my receipt and I was allowed to back the truck out of the stall. I backed out and was on my way home. At that point I hadn't even thought of the tires I wanted to save. I was just trusting that they would follow through with my request. After they closed my wife asked if I had got my other tires. I went out to look and they were not there. I went back this morning on 11/17/22 at 7:30am just before they were opened. I told them what had happened, the guy went back to get them and came back saying they were not there, someone had stole them. They said the were sorry. I said that doesn't help me. I said I trusted them to put them in my truck and now I'm out two perfectly good tires. He went in to get his manager. The store manager, ********************************* came out. We talked and he said that he'd be glad to let me know when a couple of used tires came in I could have. I said, those two tires were perfectly good tires with plenty of tread. (they were no more worn than the tires on the back, 3/8" left tread on the Corsa tires 265/70/17 Load Range E). ****** the manager ask what would I need to make me happy, I said a couple of months ago I bought an exact tire but used for $65 for a spare for this truck. So I figure that's the going price, times two would be $130. He said "those tires aren't worth $130!" I said they are to me. If I were to buy those same used tires I'd pay $65 plus tax and labor for each tire. He shook his no and said not going to happen. He said again, that he'd be glad to give me two used tires. I said, I know those tires and they are good tires just like the back ones, I can't trust someone's old tires they had replaced./ I appreciate your help :-)Business Response

11/02/2020An ordered was placed for (4) ****** Evolution studded tires with DIscount Tire, the order totaled $628.16 with tax.The tires were delivered via **** Once we recieved the tires we discovered (1) of the tires had some wires sticking out of the tread pattern area, we reached out and a new tire was sent to replace the defectant tire. We installed the tire's on the vehicle for the winter season with no other issues. We used the tire's for two winter seasons. I have approx. 50% tread life remaining and went to have the tires installed for this winter season today(11/17/2022)my machanic asked me to come out to the shop area to show me something wrong with the tire. As the machanic was removing the tire's from the vehicle he was poked by a wire, once he visually inspected the tire he found multiple wires protruding from the tread/side wall of the tire. We inspected all 4 tires and found 3 of the tires to have wires protruding out of the tread area/side wall. My machanic told me it would not be safe to use these tires and he also stated, "I have never seen anything like this before" after leaving the shop I reached out to Discount Tire. I spoke to a representative and exchanged photos and info. I was asked to photograph all tires,measure the tread, and photograph the *** codes on all (4) ****** Evolution tires. The rep seemed to think this was a wear issue and was unsure if these would be warrentied or replaced.I explained the situation when we recieved the tires new and had to have one replaced before it was ever used due to the same issue. I expressed my concerns of this possibly being a bad batch of tires and something happening in the manufacturing process. I also explained that these tires do not have a lot of wear with approx 50%tread life remaining.The rep made no mention of replacing the defectent product and said it would be up to ******.Discount Tire took on the liability of the sale when i paid them and if ****** will not replace the tires they should.Business Response
