We had a tire with a nail in the top center of the repairable area of the tire. We removed the tire ourselves, sprayed it with soapy water and this was the only place it was leaking. We took it to discount tire in ******** and they advised us our sidewall was damaged. This was not there the night before. It looked like someone stabbed it with a knife. The tech had circled it as the problem area and advised we needed a new tire. They did not even test the tire or they would have noticed air leaking out the top and circled that. They simply damaged our tire so we had to buy a new one. This is dishonesty at the highest level. We expressed our disappointment and left to buy our tire elsewhere. We would have noticed air leaking out the sidewall when we sprayed it with soapy water. We could plug the nail hole with our fingers and you could hear the air stop leaking. This was the only damage. I will never go back to this dishonest business again. If they dont like the corporate policy at this location to fix tires for free, they should address it with the franchise and not try to boost their bottom line by dishonestly scamming customers into buying new tires when they dont need themDiscount Tire

I had a flat repair with Discount Tire *********************** Dec 2023. FIrst week of January, I took the car back because of a weird noise w/c sounded like a nail hitting the ground. They checked 1 tire and did not check the rest of the tires. All tires were fine. I was told to bring my car to ***** for further inspection. ***** inspected the car on 1/9/24 and found a nail in the rear tire. 1/10/24 I brought the car back to Discount Tire for repair (I paid for tire protection). Tire repairs made. I drove out of the lot and got to work and as soon as I parked, I checked tire pressures. The tire that they repaired was 4 PSI lower than the recommended psi while all other tires were normal. I have asked to speak to their manager while at the store and was told the manager was in a meeting. I called them and they still didn't put the manager on the phone as he was still in a meeting! I am a mild-mannered person but this quality of service is unacceptable! They apologized and said the tech who worked on my car is in training. So where was the trainer to make sure his trainee is doing a good job?Discount Tire

They are scamming customers over Lugnuts. They say is bad, but not.Theyre charging $104 for Lugnuts that cost $30 They will not supply service unless you buy the $104 Lugnuts Well, I was there. I heard them scamming other customers that theyre Lugnuts were bad theyre trying to take advantage of people that dont know better Went somewhere else and a serviced my tires with no problemDiscount Tire

Went to discount tire and tried to order tires that they did not have in stock. At first they said they'd take a deposit which i was fine with but then they said I needed to pay in full. I wanted to use a giftcard i got for christmas and didn't have it on me so they said half was fine. When i handed them my discount tire card they looked at it and said they don't accept them. Location is ***************************************************************************** but its not the first time they've had issues with accepting a discount tire credit card at discount tire.Discount Tire

They not kept their promise or honor the warranty. I bought new tires in 11/2018 and have working TPMS sensors in all four tires. I want them to install my working sensors in my new tires and they agreed. Later sales Person by name ****************,stated we couldnt put those working sensors ,because my employee broke all your sensors while taking it out and we replaced it for you and it has 6 years of warranty / 70 k miles warranty . When he did show the invoice ,their mistake is not documented in my invoice . He said if you have any problems,come to the store . So I paid the total and left . Today 1/04/24 ,I went to store with my concerns,the Manager said (Jmy) you have to pay for the sensors and cant honor the warranty . I am still under warranty period from 11/2018 to 11/2024 for my sensors but they didnt honor my request. I want to resolve my issue . Please do assist in this matter.Discount Tire

I had a nail in passenger side, rear tire. Showed the business, had to replace the tire because it couldn't be fixed. They put a new tire on in the front. I drove 200 miles, on expressways, wet roads and bad weather with a nail in my tire. Discount Tires *****. How can they be that stupid????Discount Tire

Honestly, I wish I could say discount has been a great help but then I would be lying. They over torqued my wheels and will not loosen them. I only asked be cause I need my brake pads to replaced. I thought it was a simple plan but now they ****** me off. All because they feel like I was going to **** which is crazy to assume. I felt stereotyped and embarrassed because I simply asked for them to loosen a wheel and they judged me as if I tightened the wheel myself. When in fact, I did not. DISCOUNT TIRE IS THE WORST I looked down to see that my friends two front tires were down to the steel belts and I pointed that out to her. She said, I just had them replaced two months earlier. How could that be? Because they charged you for four tires and only replaced two, I replied. She looked and realized this. Go back but drive slow, I said, because they are ready to blow out. She drove at 30 mph the 24 miles to Discount Tire on a highway she usually drives 70 mph on, and pointed out the problem to them. That they were so neglectful and allowed this to happen: potentially endangering her life is unacceptable. I went in two weeks earlier for my Michelins to be changed out, (they got ****** miles out of the 80,000-mile warranty at least they pro-rated me for new ones) and they said they only had 3 and would order one more and would call me when it arrived. I waited a week. Nothing. I called. Well call you when it arrives they reiterated. Another week. I called. Nothing. Two and a half weeks later I called. We sold one of the three tires. Do you want another size tire? No! Please order two more tires. Well give you a call when they arrive. So, 3 1/2 weeks after initially going in (and them selling a tire out from under me) they finally got four matching tires and installed them.My same friend just went in to get a flat fixed (on the new tire). When she arrived she reminded them that she was there for tire repair and to check the tire sensor. An hour later, a guy came out and said the car was ready. The sensor wasnt fixed. Five minutes later a different guy came out and said the car was ready, having no idea that the car the issues werent addressed, and was unaware that someone had already spoken with her. Once again, they neglected to check and fix the tire sensor light. Faced with waiting yet another hour she was forced to make yet another appointment on another day. Discount Tire is quite possibly the most incompetent tire outfit in America.Discount Tire

I have been dealing with discount Tire for over **************************************************************************************** 5 vehicles in my time. I always have had quality expert service in North Carolina,***** and once upon a time and in *****, **. Must have changed the crew in past year. This is my problem: A year ago I brought it in for tire rotation, a year before that I bought 4 brand new tires for a 2016 KIa ********* They were MICHELIN LTX M/S2 s wit lifetime warranty, the very best. I traded that car in 4 months later and purchased a ***** Colorado 2017 truck. When I bought that in a year ago manager had no problem rolling the transfer or support on my current vehicle. I paid ecxtra fee for the trnsfer. The bottome line is when I walked into Discount Tire on College Rd. ***** there appeared to be a whole new crew. ******** checked me in and said I did not have warranty on record for them, however he never charged me for service. The joke there is I sat there for at least an hour before, and made appointment a week in advance, I seen them drive into the bay. I watched closely and never seen it go up on lift or heard air wrench remove bolts. In about 10 minutes the pulled it outside and said it was completed. I said no way that fast. I asked tech "are you sure you did rotation", he said yes. Tires, in my opinion were not rotated, I could tell on my ride home. I will never deal with Discount Tire again ever in the ****************. I am going to report this also to the BBB. Unless they hired someone from the ****** pit crew, there is no way the rotated my tires that fast without lifting up on lift. Now 2 months later I have intermittent vibration from front tires on road.By the way these guys were really busy! You need to open more stores in this araea I drove 17 miles to get to this one. The point really being I made appointment week in advance.Discount Tire

All we came in for was a flat waited for 45 mins and he said I had to wait another 45 mins to do a service that shouldve been done already not a way to conduct business.
