  Last year they replaced my windshield wiper but left the cover on so I had to go back for them to take it of. I went back yesterday to have a flat fixed. They said tire had to be replaced but with a different brand. So I agreed. Then they wanted to replace all of them including the spare with the different brand so they would match. I said no, seriously Then they said the Tire lug nuts Are aluminum and getting worn such that the ratchet Would not easily fit and they had to be replaced with stainless steel ones. Made sense so I said ok. They also tried to sell me windshield wipers..,.again. Got home, hubby showed me that I already have stainless steel ones and they were ripping me off. Going back on Monday. Beware they take advantage of women by themselves trying to rip them off.

  On 4-19-2023 at 10am I took my car to Discount Tire @ ************************************************************* to have 4 new tires put on my car, as well as new wiper blades. We paid for all the service to be done, handed them the keys and left to do errands. We returned at 2:15pm to pick up the car. It wasn't there. An assistant manager gave my keys to a man who said he was picking up the car. He didn't ask for any identification, phone number, etc. He simply handed over the keys, and my car was stolen. As we stood/sat/paced while we waited for a police report and to arrange a rental car, I observed that not once did any technician ask for ID when they were handing the keys back to someone who was there waiting for their car. The manager didn't even acknowledge me for over an hour, he simply went into the back to file a claim. He didn't speak to us until I complained. I cannot get a hold of their claims department, and I don't know what to tell my auto insurance company. I'm not sure if I should say that my car was stolen, or if I should say Discount Car gave it away!

  While they had my car the windshield got cracked. Their insurance carrier refused the claim since they could not determine how it got crack. Stay far far away from this place

  Called on 04/13 before the 2nd visit to get my other 2 tires changed. The estimate was quick and the price was good considering the recent inflation. Since I had to wait about 2 hours during my 1st visit, I asked if I could make an appointment. The staff said they don't take appointments. Asked again if there is any day or time in general when they are a little less busy. The staff said they were busy all the time. Today, I walked in 5 days after this call. Checked in at 11:43 am after waiting in line, and paid in full. I was told there were 6 ahead of me, would take 2 hours, and be ready around 1:30 pm. After walking around for nearly 2 hrs, I returned to the shop at 1:30 pm. The work didn't even start. There were still 2 more cars ahead of me and they had an appointment! So, only 4 cars got thier tire work done in 2 hours(?). And, they take an appointment, but when I called 5 days ago, they told me they don't take an appointment and walk-ins only. I showed the staff my phone call history and the staff said there was no appointment available then. But, I did not even mention any date on the phone. Dishonest business and only lies. Not even a word of apology for their mistake. Things can happen, and the right way to treat a customer is to acknowledge the mistake and make a proper apology to the customer. At 1:44 pm my car finally went inside the shop after my report and complaint. The people who worked on my car tires did good work, but the management staff failed the service. I was told that the store manager, *************************** was not in today. I left a review on Yelp with photos - the time I checked in on the receipt, a photo when my car was taken inside the shop at 1:44 pm with ****** photo cloud showing the time and date, and the note with the store manager's name, phone #, and email address.

  I went to the Discount Tire and was not impressed at all Had my front tires done on a Saturday , and didn't go anywhere until Tuesday morning to go to work. The car was running really funny, and when coming home on the freeway, no one was behind me and I didn't know this was going on no cars around be and about 14 feet behind,, then my car tilted and my front passenger tire almost completely fell off while driving. Since I was close to the Santee location, I asked them to check my 2 front tires, and they never Torked the tire, and that is why that happened. Then when I got my back two tires a couple of weeks later, and I my car scared me so much I didn't go to work this pass the car scared me, so I waited for the store to open in Santee, and they checked my tires in the back and the ******** Discount Tire didn't balance either of my back tires. I will never go to the ******** Discount Tire on Broadway again, and you should not go to it , a bunch of incompetent workers

  Entering 2023 I knew eventually I needed to buy all new four tires. Early January, after hitting a pothole on ****** Street in **************, that unexpected-expected payment came early. January 10, I went to Americas Tire on ********* Ave in ************** to buy all four new tires with certificates. Only having two, they installed what they had, putting them on the front. January 25, the other two tires arrived, installing them to the rear that day. February 25, I was returning to my grandmas house in ****** from a friends house when my wheel fell off. On ****** drive, going ~ 48mph I noticed my car was beginning to shake, so I pulled to the side. After an examination, everything appeared fine. So, I got back into the car and drove another 200 feet when I heard this scrapping noise. I got out of the car and my front passenger wheel was at a 45-degree angle, going towards my car. A tow truck took my car to ************. To find out all five lug studs had broken off because, as the tow truck guy noted, the lug nuts were put on too tight causing them to strip and eventually breaking off. I called Americas Tire because they were the last to do any work on my wheels. That is when *********, the manager at Americas Tire, pointed me in the direction of their claims department Discount Tires. A claim was opened and underwent an investigation. I was informed there was no evidence showing the damage was caused by tools from Americas Tire and that they will not be providing any voluntary monetary forms of relief. My car sat at ************ for almost a month, so the storage fee bill was high, along with the bill needed in order to do the actual work. $800 later, ************ was able to get my tire back on, but my tire had experienced damage when it fell off. As the worker at ************ said, the tire will be needing to be replaced because the thread will eventually peel, almost like a banana. So now I am hit with a need of a new tire and the cost of the repairs.

  The one is ********** refused to balance and rotate my tires within the agreement of when we bought the tires to give the rotate and balance for free. I saw the used to measure the tire with, it was in the yellow, but they REFUSED to rotate my tire and tried to up sell me tires. They are really acting very bidetory on who they want in their store. This stupid place does not deserve a one star, not sure why I have to be forced to put one. We have 3 other vehicles with them, they put the wrong tire on my mom's car when she went in to get it rotated.

  UNSAFE WASTED TIME - I was told 45 minutes to an hour and it was twice that before I got my car back. I was told told they also set the air pressure correctly on my tires and when I asked what pressure they were set to the answer wasn't the right setting. When I watched them reset the pressure it was clear they hadn't checked the pressure on any of them including the flat repair which was several pounds below where it should have been. This isn't safe. They were also supposed to reset the tire pressure monitors and didn't so now I either have to go back again to get that done or have the *** on my dash be wrong. When setting the pressure with the tires on the car they rubbed the paint on the sides of my car with the air hose. I take care of my car and don't want the paint damaged due to carelessness and a bad attitude.

  I was told by *******, the assistant manager, that my tire could be patched on Saturday, and that whatever pierced it, didnt stay in the tire- which made it leak fast, BUT it was in the middle & could be repaired. it would just have to stay at the shop until Monday, because they were overbooked and closed on Sunday, which was no problem. Monday comes around now my tire is not repairable, and needs to be replaced because theres a nail in the shoulder there was no nail in the tire on Saturday, so where did that come from? I was told that he didnt see not only one but TWO nails, one of which was in an unrepairable place. moral of the story, ANY WOMAN WILL BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF!!!!!!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THESE LYING SCAMMERS THAT CARE NOTHING ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS HARDSHIPS!!!!!!!! shame on you all.
