We had Solidarity Healthshare from 2017-2022. I had high hopes and expectations when we made the jump from mainstream health insurance.. For a few years everything went well. Now we are waiting on many bills to be paid and most recently I heard that only active memberss bills will be paid first. This has been very disappointing. I had knee replacement in 2022 and many of the related bills havent been paid. Also, we have many reimbursements due us.

I joined because I believed in their mission and vision. In reality, they were unable to fulfill their promises. It has taken two years for them to pay my health care provider for three different bills. They have excuses that they are short staff, changing to a new system, COVID. I ended up paying my provider as I felt it was unethical to keep delaying them (for two years now) as Solidarity recommended. **************** was always nice, but could never affect any payments. It was embarrassing when my bills were not being paid. I have never had any updates on these bills from Solidarity--only when I call. I have given up and have switched providers to one that will ethically pay the doctors what is due and communicate with me if an issue arises. I am so disappointed in Solidarity. I would give them a Zero star if I could.

We used Solidarity from 2019-2022. At the beginning, they were on top of things and bills were paid within a timely manner. We were very happy with our service.Unfortunately, it seemed to go down hill from there very quickly. I STILL have bills from 2021 that have yet to be paid to the provider and/or I have yet to be reimbursed for. Ive called multiple times and they always say, We cant give you a timeframe, but its in a pay hold status to be sent out. I have so many bills in collections and ones that are balance bills (aka - bills I was sent, but should have been paid by Solidarity.)Its such a disappointment because it had the potential to be a great service for those of us who cant afford traditional health insurance. I cannot recommend them at all.

Been a member since 2020. They paid many of my bills from 2021, but I have bills from summer of 2022, that have yet to be paid. When I called in May 2023, they say, they are ready to pay, but have not yet and it is now January ****. My advice is to NOT join this Healthshare. I am ready to end my time with them, leaving bills not paid, $3,000 deductible reached, but no action on their part. Starting my next $3,000 deductible seems stupid on my part.

Fraudulent. Liars. They keep horrible records. They asked ME to prove I sent them needed information in a timely manner (which I did). They told me on Aug 8 that I needed to submit only the *** from my insurance. Then they denied all my bills because of missing information. I have been sent to collections 4 times. Last year, I notified Solidarity of a collections notice, they asked for the letter and said they would escalate the status of my bill to get it processed sooner. Today I called and she said they don't escalate bills ever. Their staff is untrained and inconsistent. I have had so much stress and anxiety over the past 2 years with them. Wish I could afford a lawyer to pursue legal action. What a scam.

Solidarity Healthshare is one of the most of the most inept and poorly run organizations Ive ever encountered. Theyve been using the same excuse of weve just switched over to a new system for the last several years now, mishandling and neglecting medical bills for years even after theyve gone to collection agencies. When you call in to talk with representatives about the matter, they use flimsy excuses, their managers repeatedly tell you you just have to wait which results, again, in years of neglected expenses and poor relationships with your medical establishments. They ask that you pay your portion of the bill, but then when its time to pay their portion, they claim its unfairly priced and only pay a small percentage of it (by way of example, weve had bills in the hundreds on which theyve paid less than $50). The result: even though youve already paid, they throw it back to you as your responsibility. They dont tell you what youre supposed to pay for months on end. They reprice, dont communicate about that repricing, and let it sit long after collection agencies are involved, even when their 3rd party fixer gets involved. They are corrupt they lure you in so you think youve got coverage and then youre stranded with thousands and thousands of unpaid bills. This is an absolute scam unregulated and dangerous. Do your research there are hundreds of stories out there now of people who have been chewed up and spit out by Solidarity. DO NOT JOIN. They should be shut down.

If there was a possibility of rating an organization zero stars, I would do so. Solidarity refuses to "share into" old bills, while increasing user rates. Gives no accountability as to why or where or when bills will be shared into. When asked for transparency about why bills are not being "shared" into they give the excuse that they can't see that on their end (even at the managerial level) because they've contracted the processing out. They falsely claim backlog from Covid as an excuse for ongoing failure in sharing. **************** are listed and exact adherence is expected, but Solidarity does not honor it's "Processing Time" assertions and claims that they're "doing the best they can", but are misleading new recruits in their advertising. Their phone receptionists are sweet, kind, and can do nothing to help. We have had bills "processed" to the tune of thousands and thousands of dollars that have been sitting in "batch" that were submitted at the very beginning of 2022 and are still listed as "processing" as of November 2023. I have been assured via phone with a representative that they are "just waiting for funds to be match and batched" - which is one of the phrases that have been used to assure us, falsely, that movement is being made on these bills - but still nothing is done. Solidarity lacks any transparency, and only minimally fulfill their Healthshare objective. They give the excuse about the nature of Healthshare allowing for these flagrant shortcomings. To potential Solidarity Members: Stay away, it is a scam. Your family will suffer. They are NOT Catholic. Their advertisements are misleading and disingenuous. You'll come out thousands of dollars in debt. Their AMPS program is fruitless; their "repricing" is useless (your hospital will require full payment regardless and Solidarity can do almost nothing to require them to accept repricing. STAY AWAY, **** OTHER'S . IT'S A SCAM. Solidarity needs to be investigated and held accountable.

I have an email proving that Solidarity has said that they are out of money, and this is why they aren't processing my August 2022 claims. I wish I could post the image here - I did post it on *******

We originally went with Solidarity in 2016 because they were the most affordable healthshare plan. At first they paid our bills in a timely manner, but over time, they became more and more delayed. We finally left them in early Fall of 2022, due to delay of payments and rising costs. Now, with 1 bill in collections and others unpaid, Solidarity is refusing to do anything beyond telling us "Your bill will be paid. I just cannot guarantee when." Ouch. Not comforting words to hear while my bill sits in debt collections. To top it off, they are now telling me that they are prioritizing current members bills first. When I say, "My bill is being pushed to the bottom?" I am being told that this is the incorrect way to put it, and that they are simply prioritizing current members bills. I am being gaslit by a company I have put thousands of dollars into over the years. Why wasn't my bill prioritized when I was a current member? Why I am stuck with dealing with debt collectors while Solidarity gets off ***** free?Absolutely ridiculous. In no way can I ever recommend using this healthshare company.

I hate to have to say this and resort to filing a complaint, but our experience has been an absolute nightmare and I am unsure where to begin. We still have bills and reimbursements from over 3 years ago, that have not been reimbursed or completely processed. They constantly lose paperwork, prenotifications, and files. Many times when we submit a claim, they deny it for illegitimate reasons. We recently found a $750 bill from 2020 in our "Completed" Section that says it was shared, but when we looked at the Explanation of Sharing, it was actually DENIED! There is always some excuse or loophole they use to deny and we have many bills beyond 120 days that have still not been processed and have not gotten reimbursed THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS (possibly tens of thousands; we still are adding up years worth of bills), that they owe us. Every time you call, they say it's being worked on or "a check is on its way." I really hope this company makes it out alive so that we can get reimbursed but this experience has been a LIVING HELL! Our experience has been extremely stressful. I cannot even believe they can get away with this!
