Like every single other review on this page, Solidarity has been completely outrageous and I just cancelled my membership! I chose to pay for a pregnancy completely out of pocket than risk dealing with more incompetence from them. Multiple bills from 1-1.5 years ago as wellness checks havent been paid to provider. Ive been in collections several times. After paying for a birth in 2021 that was the SAME cost as the one Im currently facing, they suddenly claim they will only partially cover this one! And I find this halfway through my pregnancy! The lady said shes using fair and just pricing out of KANSAS to tell me how much a birth in ******** should cost. Then proceeded to blame me for not reading membership guidelines! There is ZERO transparency in this company. Completely disgusted. Still waiting on reimbursements from the beginning of this year for bills. WELL outside of their 120 days to process time. Anyone who reads this, dont sign up or get out before you get completely screwed. This company claims to be Catholic. HA. As one of my providers said, theyre just as bad as insurance companies!

We appreciate hearing from our members and want to clarify how to make the most of your membership. It seems like there may be some confusion concerning the status of your bills. All are completing processing and we do not have a specific processing timeframe as they are completed in order received and in queue to wait for matching Sharing Funds through Monthly Voluntary Share Contributions from fellow Members. Currently, our average processing time is approximately 120 business days. Your Membership has had (19) needs process over and (35) needs process in less than 120 business days as averages work. Our Sharing Guidelines determine what medical expenses are shared among the members of Solidarity HealthShare. Medical expenses that conflict with Catholic moral teachings is not shared, protecting the consciences of all members and this includes needs submitted incomplete or without Pre-Notification ***** ************ or missing Proof of Payment(POP)/Receipts needed for processing. Exodus 20:16. As a part of our ministry, we work with our members' providers to encourage billing at fair and just prices through a reference-based pricing model and solve the healthcare industry-wide problem of overbilling and shared at the Fair and Reasonable Value of Service (FRVS). Unfortunately, you have experienced this unjust practice in the healthcare industry. In these situations, the cash pay patient or the healthcare sharing ministry member has two choices: pay the outrageous amount, which would cause the monthly contributions to increase dramatically, or fight for fair and just pricing in healthcare. Well visit 2/9/2022. Not paid for over 9 months. Provider sent it to a debt collector. I paid it myself. Now I have to try to get Solidarity to repay me. All communication attempts to management received no response.

Solidarity always seeks to serve its members in a faithful Christian manner in a spirit of solidarity and subsidiarity. We are committed to serving you and answering any questions you may have. The wellness visit mentioned was received on 04/21/2022 and this received date is what we go by for processing our Members needs and this need was completing processing when you called in on the same day of this review and our *********** team had informed you that this need was completing processing and waiting for matching sharing funds. You had mentioned that you had paid it and our representative properly informed you that we would need a copy of the Proof of Payment (POP)/Receipt and advised you to send this in. We have not received this yet and the need has been completed s of 11/21/2022 and shared to your provider. Our Sharing Guidelines determine what medical expenses are shared among the members of Solidarity HealthShare. Medical expenses that conflict with Catholic moral teachings is not shared, protecting the consciences of all members and this includes needs submitted incomplete or without Proof of Payment or Receipts. The average processing time for ALL submitted needs for sharing on your familys Membership shared in less than 90 business days, well below the 120 business day average that it typically takes for Solidarity to facilitate the sharing of its members sharing requests. If I could give 0, I would. Please, please, please listen to these reviews. Solidarity is an absolute scam. It sounds great in writing, but they are absolutely terrible. I have bills that are years old still waiting for reimbursement. Bills that have gone to collections because they take just as long to process. Our doctor ****** accept them anymore because theyve been terrible at paying in a timely manner. Even if you self pay and submit for reimbursement, you will never get money back because they need a mountain of paperwork. I have 6 bills that I have submitted three times and still it isnt right. Even when I submit the correct paperwork, they dont upload everything so it ****** process correctly. For example, I added receipts to all of those bills and they didnt add it to my portal, so it ****** show that we paid. More paperwork. More time wasted. My daughters first 4 months of life were spent with me on the phone with solidarity, the hospital, the doctor, etc. *** workers are rude, not helpful, etc. just please dont waste your or your families time with this ********. Just go to regular insurance or Christian Health Ministries or ANY OTHER HEALTHSHARE WITH BETTER REVIEWS. trust the reviews. ***y are absolutely awful. ***y should be sued.

The bills that were deemed ineligible were prenatal visits to my primary care doctor. They were blood draws to make sure I was not miscarrying again. I submitted the pre notification information and so did my doctor. I confirmed with multiple employees at solidarity that the pre notification was good to go for my maternity care. I think the only unethical thing here is your scam company not reimbursing my families money. Ive been working with Healthshare for years so dont post that copy and paste response of how Healthshares are hard to understand at first. Yours isnt hard to understand, its down right impossible to get every bit of information needed to make the bill eligible. Your customers are not medical billing professionals. We should have to, nor know how, to submit these bills with such detail. And when we reach out to solidarity to ask if you can call the doctors office to help figure it out, you refuse. Also, I submit receipts every time. I add the image of the receipt when I upload bills for reimbursement and EVERY TIME they arent added to the bill for processing. Stop blaming Covid and your new system. Fix this.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! We stopped being members a year ago and we are still battling with them to pay what they said they would pay for the birth of my son. It has been over a year and I keep getting the run around about "back logs" and that the bills are "in the final stages of processing". They have been in the final stages of processing for WAY TOO LONG! I am having to be my own advocate with my provider's office. Thankfully I am working with someone who is very helpful at my provider's office. However, she can only do so much. We have asked for a letter outlining the backlog they claim to have so they can buy me a little more time before it goes to collections. They have not done this simple request and just keep telling us to be patient and that it is "in the final stages of processing" and "in a batch list to be printed". I honestly don't think they have the money to pay bills and keep putting it off so it becomes the patients responsibility. I am so glad we left when we did. I just wish it was before we had our son so we didn't have to deal with the hospital bills now and this run around show.

If I could leave a negative star review I would. This company is a black hole. Pretending to be a Christian organization cheating the rest of the providers and members is their best attribute. They are the absolute worst company to deal with. They will say we will resolve this on the phone. Do not believe it. We have had two doctors visits this year and two last year. All well person checks with labs that are supposed to be covered. They have given a **** month run around and then finally repriced a new doctor visit that my wife spent 45 min with the doctor and repriced that for us to $52 none of which they paid and we owe $52. The bill was originally $175. I understand this would be discounted but doctors cant run a practice like that and eventually will stop taking you as a patient. That is this year. Last year it was my turn to deal with them. I had the same experience collecting codes from the doctors office, submitting and calling every month for over 6 months. Thats fraud as far as I can see. That would be far less than ******** or even ******** would pay on a level 3 or 4 office visit. To make matters worse my wife has spent no less than 20 hours this year on the phone with solidarity. This is for one claim. She now works part time job just working to get the bills paid. They will say its in batch or in que to be shared only to find out two months later that they really arent going to do anything. She has talked to the office administrator of this practice she went to explaining as well as lab corp who has now sent us to collections. But solidarity says oh dont worry we have a great relationship with lab corp. they wont report you to the credit bureau. This company should be investigated. Oh and on another note I am a provider myself. Our personal experience is not alone. They are routinely **** months before they pay my practice and when they do its always some discounted number that they have made up. Nothing even close to fair market value!

ZERO STARS! STAY AWAY!Solidarity is a very bad company that claims to be "Catholic." We have been members since 2018 and things have been getting worse as the years have gone on. I constantly wonder if they even have the funds to pay all the bills. I recently had to ask for an audit of my account due to a bill being processed and applied to my annual unshared amount despite reaching and exceeding my annual unshared amount at the end of July. The "audit" document I was sent was literally the most basic Xcel spreadsheet that someone clearly just downloaded and forwarded. No audit was done because I could tell within 2 seconds where the error was. I called their customer service and spent 45 minutes trying to explain where the error was on the audit and begging for it to be fixed. Finally, the customer service person found the error after going through every single bill I had submitted over the last year (She actually did A REAL AUDIT ON MY ACCOUNT) and resubmitted the bill. They also apparently have a computer system that "reads" the bills for all the codes etc instead of a human being. And multiple times the system has missed codes on written on bills that were previously submitted. They never call and tell you when a bill is missing a code so you could wait for 6 mo to find out that their effing computer system didn't read the bill correctly! I call them frequently just to make sure a human being lays on my bills and checks the computer's expensive errors. The utter incompetence of Solidarity is truly breathtaking. I read these reviews and just nod my head in agreement. The condescending replies from the solidarity rep say it all! They continually blame everyone and do not see how they are constantly changing the rules and leaving people drowning in unpaid medical bills.

We appreciate hearing from our members and want to clarify how to make the most of your membership. We informed you earlier that 13 of 28 calls were for Missing Informationover 46% & when Members choose to follow the instructions on the Member Portal & submit a proper Itemized Coded (IB) bill this drastically reduces the amount of calls needed (here 50%) & length of calls and need to review each incorrect submission & informing them of each item missing on most submitted needs. We even offered opportunity for additional re-training with our ****************** Team. We informed you that current processing times of approximately 120 business days and your MembershipALL needs submitted have completed processing in less than 106 business days on average.Cover of *** Sharing Guidelines reads, ATTENTION: This program is not an insurance company nor is it offered through an insurance company. This program does not guarantee or promise that your medical bills will be paid or assigned to others for payment. Whether anyone chooses to pay your medical bills will be totally voluntary. As such, this program should never be considered as a substitute for an insurance policy. Whether you receive any payments for medical expenses and whether or not this program continues to operate, you are always liable for any unpaid bills. All sharing is based on *** SHARING GUIDELINES & utilize Solidaritys Fair For All Pricing--OUR reference-based pricing model--FAIR & JUST PRICING ENSURES MEMBERS ARE NOT OVERCHARGED & YOUR PROVIDER IS NOT UNDERPAID.Have improvements and changes happened since 1/01/2019YES! ConstantlyNO! Submitting an Itemized coded bill to be processed has ALWAYS been a requirement. The only change here was 06/2020 the Provider Tax ID is now required. Every Need submission has a list of ALL items needed for processing and if needs are submitted incompletely it requires more follow-up calls with pieces of the puzzle gathered to allow for processing or reprocessing. The Member ************************* section of the *** Sharing Guidelines shares this along with Member Knowledge Resource Center.Blessings,Solidarity HealthShare

I understand that delays can happen when members do not submit all the correct information initially. However, my post clearly states that delays also occur when the computer system does not read the bills correctly as well. I recently called because of a delay and the customer service person clearly found the Tax Id Number on the document I had submitted but the computer system failed to recognize it. Further, you did not even try to respond to the incompetence surrounding the audit on my account. The gaslighting and attempts to continually blame the members, instead of recognizing and rectifying errors on your part is astonishing.

We appreciate the time youve taken to express your concerns and want to clarify how to make the most of your membership. It does look like all your issues have been identified and Solidarity HealthShare processed these correctly as submitted. You will need to follow-up with your provider as instructed in earlier communications since they submitted incorrect information and providers had refused payments and these needs had to be reprocessed and reissued. We understand the frustration of gathering requested information and missing codes as late as 05/2022 & 06/2022 for needs going back to 2019. There are numerous communications informing your family of the Member Rights and Responsibilities listed within the *** Member Sharing Guidelines going back to 03/2018. There is a learning curve when switching from traditional insurance and healthcare sharing. We realize how frustrating it may be when your provider submitted incorrect information and caused delays in processing. I have been with solidarity for a few years now and they are are not a good health share organization. I have a bill that needs to be paid to my annual wellness provider. It's been a year and it still hasn't been paid. So now I'm concerned if my physician will even take me me on for my next annual wellness appointment. I've reached out to solidarity and have been told the same thing that it is in line to be paid. Such garbage.

We appreciate the time youve taken to express your concerns. We see you called in to have this need escalated on 08/31/2022 and it is finishing processing with matching sharing funds for you. Escalations normally take approximately 45 business days to complete processing. Our Sharing Guidelines determine what medical expenses are shared among the members of Solidarity HealthShare. We do see that over 94% of your needs have been processed. Some great news, although this one has been a little longer, all needs on your Membership will complete processing in less than 54 business days timeframe. Once the required information is received there is typically a 120-day turnaround from the time all required information has been submitted, not the time your bill was issued. Exodus 20:16.
