      Absolute worst banking experience of any financial institution I've ever had. There are constant issues every time I go in. Today was the last straw...I went to their ATM in front of the building and got out cash. I needed to break a $20 into two 10d so I went in and they wouldn't do it without first verifying my account number. Then they have some contraption that takes the money and for whatever reason it didn't like the $20 bill I was just given by their ATM. Five minutes later another employee came over and tried it a few more times without success so she swapped it out with another bill from her drawer. Finally the teller puts two $10 bills on the counter but doesn't give me the money until I sign the signature pad! OMG a 30nsecond transaction took longer than it was to write this review. I will be banking somewhere else immediately!

      Terrible service.I opened an auto refinancing loan about 7 years ago. I paid off my auto loan in 2021 and somehow 70 dollars went into a savings account, that I did not open. Now I am threatened with a 10 dollar per month surcharge due to inactivity. Despite providing my SS, they will not assist me any furrther.I also never got a copy of my title from Hughes.The phone app is always down "for maintenance," the office number always goes to a call center, and since I cant remember my phone access code, they are no help to me. So, essentially, I am trapped behind a paywall with an account I didn't open from a bank that seems to have no employees, and a phone app that does not work.I do not recommend doing business with them.

      In 7/17 I opened an account for auto loan with Hughes Federal credit Union. The vehicle financed was a 2007 Yukon Denali with 167,970miles. On the motor vehicle retail installment sales contract and money security agreement the total sales price was $17,032. The amount financed was ********* including a 4.5% interest rate making a total $16,032 because of the $1,000 that I put down on the loan. The payment schedule on the loan was 60payments in the amount of $267.20 beginning on 8/17. On 8/22 my 60th payment of $267.20 was processed but I had a total balance still of ******** remaining on the account. I contacted ********************** for a payment history and noticed after my first year of payments starting on 11/18 I was charged $192 for a loan advance. Each month afterwards I was charged a different amount for a loan advance. When I inquired about the loan advance I was told it was due to me not having insurance on the vehicle. I informed them I had insurance because it was illegal to drive without insurance. They told me if I was able to provide them with proof of full coverage the extra charges will be reviewed and maybe reconciled. The total amount of those charges over a four year span was $********. In December of 2022 Hughes Federal credit Union had the vehicle repossessed. I was never made aware of these extra charges until I seen them myself when I requested a payment history. To receive the vehicle back I had to sign a new contract with a new total amount of $5,479.35 including a $280 auction fee. On 1/6/23 my first payment of $268 was made on the new contract. 18 months has passed and I have paid $4,817.34 and currently owe $1,218.83. I don't believe all these extra charges and fees is fair practice on their behalf to meet the consumer. As of today Hughes Federal credit Union have received a total of $21,849.34 not including the $390 and processing fees in cash from me. I have now paid $5,817.34 over the original loan amount and still old *******

      Stop trusting hughes federal credit Union, Is one of the worst banks!!!!Ive been using them for 30 years and been having trouble with them, but theyve gone over the edge! this time!!!They switch to a new system, And it doesnt work! I use their billpay, On May 1 Thinking everything was going to be normal and working ??? They change their system And now instead of e payment they mailed A check to nowhere and never was cleared! I dont even think they put an address on the check. The company never received it!!I called them and tried my best to do everything I could to resolve this problem!They are like speaking to The *********** press Secretary ****** whatever her name is!!!Save yourself the trouble that Ive been dealing with go to a different credit union.They had a guy named *********************** that kept everything running pretty smooth, but since hes retired, theyve gone to h*** and not returned!!!

      DO NOT use this credit union! They are extremely difficult to work with. They make it nearly impossible to make payments on your loan as there is no way to make a payment without transferring money to your account with them which is a pain in the ****, or you have to do a "Fast Pay," which charges $4.95 every time. **************** is horrible. I had several significant medical issues for myself and a family member a couple of months ago, so I fell behind on my loan. I talked to them and let them know I would be making full payments every two weeks to catch up. Because I was past due, I had to call in every time to make a payment and couldn't even do so without going through three different departments each time. Of course, I had to verify my information each time, then sit on hold forever. This last time, I was on hold for 20 minutes, then got hung up on. Then I had to pay the extra fee to make the payment. Although I got a decent interest rate, they are not worth the hassle. I truly believe they are trying to make it so difficult to make my payments that I default. I will be filing a report with the BBB.

      I've just had the worst experience at the Hughes on **********. First, I tried to deposit a $50 **** gift card I had received from Hughes because it didn't work at a supermarket. The girl said she couldn't cash it because it wasn't issued at her branch. I waited for about 5 minutes for her to go check and she couldn't tell me which branch issued it. Then, I wanted to deposit a check for $40, but couldn't remember my account number. Usually, they just look it up by my name and ask for my password. Well, this ***** asked for my driver's license which I gave her. Then she says it doesn't match the one on her computer. At this point, I asked for the manager. She came over and said to just look it up by my name, but the ***** is going on about the DL number not matching. It turns out that my old driver's license number was my social and I had changed it over 10 years ago. The ***** kept talking about how she didn't want to have to ask me a lot of questions or reveal my SSN out loud. Meanwhile, while she's ********** on, I have groceries going bad in my car. She was so proud that she discovered that my driver's license number didn't match, that she failed to notice it was my birthday. All this to make a deposit, with no cash back.

      It started out really nice with Hughes. They always seemed to be concerned and helped in every way. I got hurt at work couple years ago and they put my high truck payments off for 6 months to help me out. I was put in disability but my wife was still working si things were not great like they were but managable. One year ago my wife was hurt at work. Work comp was paid to her and she was also granted SSDI. Her ssdi kicked in January of 2024 wich wasnt full benafits while on work comp. Well in January they stopped her work comp pay. Now she is fighting ssdi for full monthly pay while im struggling to pay all our bills with just my income. I asked Hughes Credit Union for a 3 month extension just to help us get through this and get her pay straightened out. IMMEDIATELY SHUT DOWN. Im not sure how we will purchase food until this is taken care of but Hughes Credit Union pretty much slapped us in the face. Its hard to go from over 40 thousand a year down to 26 when not expecting it but when you really need help DO NOT EXPECT HUGHES TO HELP YOU OUT.

      I have been with Hughes for many years. They have helped me in more ways then not. *************************************** was instrumental in helping me save money by roll to depends I had into one. Giving me the ability to have one low payment versus to high payments. *****?! I thank you for your awesome customer service and attention to detail.       I have a loan with this business that is stuck in some sort of automated perpetual penalty, and the payments I make are not doing a thing. How do I owe the exact same amount as all ways? It's all automated and total c*** Where is a loan officer or somebody who actually cares about the customer here. This business needs to send me my vehicle title Finally and some sort of reimbursement for all this.

      I have a loan with them. I switched my insurance. They requested a declaration page which I sent they keep sending me notices the are going to charge me for a supplemental insurance even though the already have the declaration page. The customer service people are incompetent. they told me they didn't have a phone number to verify. I asked if they ever heard of ****** and try doing your job.
